1 Chapter 1- Separated worlds

"Vicky, what did you do?" my sister asked angrily, "I didn't do anything. How many times will I say it. I didn't do anything to him" I said for the hundredth time in frustration but no one believed me. I was a misfit in this world but regretted knowing why

I'm sure most of you have heard stories like 'a world of superheroes and me, the normal' or stuffs like that but believe me when I say that my life was not like any of those headings. My life, my story, was different. I thought I never had powers or will never have but I think I would rather have no powers than to have the powers i was actually born with

My name is Vicky, I'm sure you have already realised that but if you haven't, now you know. I was a misfit in my family and in my world. I was always known as an outcast everywhere I went and I didn't care because I thought I was special but when I was little, I didn't like it one bit. Before we start the main course of action, I'll first tell you the most important lesson I learnt when I was 7 and then start.

Always do your assignments. Trust me, it will come in handy one day

"Good morning, class" the teacher said as she entered the classroom. "Good morning, Miss Wendy" the class replied. "Take your seats" the teacher announced. We all took our seats and the class started. "So, today we are going to talk about two things: the five worlds and also the extinct creatures of our world"

"First, I'll start with the extinct creatures of our world. They are known as extractors. They were the most powerful creatures because they had a very special ability which was to extract powers or energy from not only our people but also other creatures from other worlds. They all went extinct by our greatest and known hero, Hunter Hudson. He ended the existence of all extractors". That was just a fancy way of saying he killed all of them but of course I didn't say that out loud. I was 7 but not dumb

"Okay now, for the present. We have five different world: the power world, supernatural world, angel and demon world, and the normals, and there is one more but we don't refer to it as a world because it has multiple living beings which is called the multidimensional world. It has unlimited amount of dimensions which can be confusing for outside worlds but known by those who are connected to it. Each world has one or more wing animal, not necessarily having wings but it's like their symbol animal and you must know at least one each. The normals have the most amount of wing animal"

"We have dragons and... Well, you know what, let that be your take home work. Find out the rest wing animals of the other worlds". Till this very day, i wish i had done that assignment because maybe i would have remembered it easily. "And again students, make sure to always remember this rule even though you are forbidden to never leave, never fall in love with an outsider, never"

I'm sure you guys think that i later fell in love with an outsider, oh shit, i just told you guys that i actually went to the outside world. You guys would have known either ways but i won't spoil that for you. Okay, now to the present

"Back to our world, Vicky" My pal Mimi said as she brought me back me from my introductions. I blinked my eyes in confusion and a bit annoyed. "What?"

"You are just staring at the menu looking at only you know what"

"Yeah, sorry" i was already about to turn to tell the waitress what i wanted but she wasn't there again. "I ordered for the both of us" i raised a brow in a way that said what-did-you-order but i dismissed it and brought out a old map i stole. "Where did you get this map from this time?" Mimi asked with a look that said 'again'. "I bought it from Diego".

Did you really think that i stole it. I'm not a thief

"Oh okay"

Diego is Mimi's ex even though she still has feelings for him which is very stupid if you ask me but i can't tell her that even tho it's true

"But what is with the new...i mean old map this time around. You have gone on multiple hikes but still found nothing"

"First of all, it's not a hike. Second, i have fun on each and every one of them which isn't really nothing"

If you guys are now thinking that i am an adventurer, I'm not. I'm just a girl stuck in her own world and wants to get out of it one way or the other. I have read a lot of books about all of them and i really want to see them in person. So yeah, I'm just a normal girl with a normal life

I was going through the crusty map but i wasn't complaining, when our orders arrived. Mimi ordered strawberry milkshake for herself and ordered chocolate for me. Thanks boo. But i almost lost my appetite when i saw who served it. I looked away and slurped on my milkshake loudly. I said i ALMOST lost my appetite. Almost

Steve

"Hey bro, how had work been" Mimi said to her brother while she used her straw to steer her shake

Yup. Brother. The boy's name is steve. You know that one boy in most stories that can't take no as an answer. Yup that's Steve alright. The guy of every girl's nightmare, sometimes i wish i could just get rid of him

"It has been stressful but I'm still coping" he said with a smile on his face and then he focused all his attention on me. "Hey, Vicky"

"Hi" I said while looking at my milkshake. Who would have known that brown was an attractive colour

"Hey, Vicky, if you are free this friday, can you please co..."

Before he could even finish his statement, i cut it short

" I'm actually busy this week" i said in the nicest voice i could muster. I wasn't actually lying when i said i was busy. I had my map that i had to explore before my parents were back and i also had some books i had to read also. So yeah, i wasn't lying. "Oh, it's cool. Thanks either ways"

"Sure"

And then he left. I could see Mimi already giving me death glares but i chose to ignore them and started to study my map again to avoid the conversation

Her brother was just so annoying. One time they came to my house and Steve barged into my room with Mimi while i was still in my robe, are you kidding me? And there was another time, i precisely told him not to touch anything but i guess he wanted to wow me by doing something to it but i was wowed by how stupid he was. Ugh!

"You are coming this friday, Vicky" she ordered. "No, I'm not" i said still staring at my map "Yes you are. It's his birthday and you must be there"

"But I'm not going to be because like i said I'm going to be busy"

"You are coming"

"No"

"Or else I'll tell your parents about your little 'adventures' but it's your call, darling". I looked up from the map to see if Mimi was bluffing. "You're bluffing"

"Try me"

There was one thing i loved and hated about Mimi. She knows how to trick people a lot which is kinda like her second power. It's funny when she tries it on other people but never funny when it happens to you. Never

"So, what's your choice?"

Of all reasons to stay behind, the one it had to be was just because of Steve. Of all reasons in this whole universe, it had to be because of him. I couldn't stay and watch so i left but not before finishing my milkshake, of course

I groaned so long and loud when i was already in the middle of the forest. We stayed along a path close to the forest which was also close to a very large field. We lived in the forest and neither i nor sister knew why

My life was never some stupid fairy tale but a whole lot of terror. I'm sure puberty would have been so much better
