Chapter 1

The marvelous disks spin once more. Clouds twirling their vortex above a tinted yellow ocean of bottomless fog. City life continued to thrive above these literal pillars of humanity, the one and only safe place for humans. Just as people had before, each day was lived like the last. Poor struggling and the rich struggling to pretend their life's harder. Regardless the state of the world, children are born. Born into positions they can't change no matter how gifted or talented, no invention would grant passage to higher platforms. The only time to climb is when law looks the other way or never saw you coming. But even if you make it, fitting in to people you've never seen before posed a challenge far harder then any stowing away.
