2 Ch 2 - Customisation
The boy had begun to speak of his short life. Talking of the hardship he had faced. The pain he had suffered before his release in death. The angel sat down in front of him and hung on every word. Being there for the boy as he shed a few tears. Being one of the first people to listen to his pain.
???: That's… that's so sad. To be abandoned by your family at such an early age. Bullied and kicked out of an orphanage, your boyfriend dying, living on the streets for years. I'm so sorry.
The woman hugged the boy as he was pressed up against her soft body. Her clothes were comfortable and her chest was soft. The boy had never felt such kindness before. It was… liberating. He was finally treated with kindness. He wasn't hurt, scared, called names, or abandoned. The woman cared for him. Stroke the back of his head as she held him close.
???: It's going to be okay now. Mommy's here.
There was peaceful silence as both enjoyed the gentle feeling of each other. The boy enjoyed the softness and the feeling of kindness. The beautiful angel enjoyed the small embrace the boy gave her.
???: Do… do you want me to be your Guardian Angel?
The boy slowly looked up at the woman and her sea-blue eyes.
???: You can do that?
???: A Guardian Angel is just an angel that helps a soul live a good life until their mortal shells come to an end. We can't do much but be there for them and give them some hope that everything will get better. While this is normally a task performed by low-rank angels, it's completely fine for those of higher rank to do it. As long as I stick to the rules I can care for you. But you will have to pick one specific drawback to receive me.
The boy looked into the angels' eyes lost in their blueness. This woman was offering to help guide him in this life. Become his Guardian Angel. Give him the will and hope for a better future which he had all but lost. He had lost all the kindness he had ever received in his past life but to receive this much kindness. The boy was stunned. Only after a minute of shock was the boy able to speak.
???: Please. I-I don't care what drawback I need to take. Just… Please don't…
???: Shhhhh. It's ok. I won't. Don't worry. We'll stay together.
Some angels looked down and glared at the two. But neither did the boy realise nor would he care. The angel gently kissed the boy's forehead as he glowed a bit brighter. The white light dimmed but did not fade as his body was still made completely of white light.

The boy looked to the side to read the message that popped up on a screen.
Lilly: It's just a drawback necessary to become your Guardian Angel. I can't become one unless you actually become new life. While this may change a lot on the customisation it should still be fine within what you were thinking.
The boy went back to his screens to see the pages. And they had changed. He no longer had the options [Body], [Age], or [Entry point]. When he clicked on race something very different showed up. Instead of a list of races and how many points they cost. There were larger options.

???: What is this? Are these… what I will be born into?
The boy scrolled through the long list of options as he scanned and analysed each one. Previously he was going to go for the "Hybrid" option and select the elf and spirit. But with everything changed he had to rethink his plan.
Lilly: That's right. When you get born this shows what races you'll be a part of and how much you'll be a part of them. While it costs less than hybrid it also lacks some benefits. Such as you won't get all the perks of each race. For hybrid, if you picked elf and spirit you would have been reincarnated into this world with all the racial skills as a perfect mix. But with this, you could be 50% Dragon while only getting dragon wings or the ability to use dragonic magic.
The boy kept scrolling as he listened. Finding what he thought would be best and selecting it.

The boy then opened up his drawbacks screen and was greeted by a long list of drawbacks he could select.

The boy cycled through the list as he picked the options that he could live through or tolerate. Picking them because he already had them in his past life and saw no reason to not pick them, already knowing how to deal with them.

The drawbacks were simple drawbacks with simple descriptions. "Sleepless Night" gave him a nightmare once a week that would be guaranteed to wake him up in the middle of the night. "River" made cumming last a lot longer than it should, the boy didn't see that as a big deal as long as he was abstinent. Not that he ever lost his virginity in the first place. "Delayed Trip" made it so that even after the demon king was killed he would have to live his life in the other world before going back. Unable to kill himself or his soul would be destroyed. He saw this as a special perk. Not wanting to go back. "Status Limit 1 & 2" now limited what he could do. Turning his screen into a more compact version than the one before.

Removing his ability to invest status points when he levelled up but allowing him to choose two more sub-classes at the cost of this. And "Questless" and "No shop" removed the quest function and the shop function that would have been given after reincarnating. But he had seen a series where quests could offer death penalties and he didn't want that. And the shop function didn't interest him. Not offering anything significant besides items back home for what seemed like the new world's currency. But he didn't need what he already lived without.
Lily: Wow. You've already picked your race and you have more points than you started with! You're the first person to pick so many drawbacks.
???: The others didn't pick drawbacks?
Lily: Some of them ignored the section. Others picked more "sexual" drawbacks with their perverse nature. And others only picked one or two. You're the first to have 8 drawbacks.
???: Is that a bad thing?
Lily: No no. It's pretty good. I would say you picked the options that would affect you the least. While Questless, No Shop and the status limit were the biggest ones you picked, everyone else in the world you're going to lives with the exact same and still, there are some really strong people. So I believe in you!
The boy smiled at the angel as he hugged her again.
???: Thank you.
The boy went back to his screens as he looked through the Main Class and Sub-Classes. While there were a lot less than the drawbacks there was less of a description to these. Only having a title on which he didn't know much about. The reason he was going to pick Hybrid is because he didn't know much about the races and their perks. He was having difficulty choosing. Specifically, because all the classes that he had seen before had changed.

Lily: Those disappeared when you picked the drawback that came with me. A baby can't possibly handle that much power even if it was a dragon baby. But don't worry. You are one of the very few with a growth class because it comes as most come as a perk with certain drawbacks. Growth classes are better in the long term. And you'll have time.
Lily then got close to the boy's ear and whispered.
Lily: But I recommend you only choose one Sub Class. If you're lucky you'll find an opportunity to get unique classes when you get to Centiion.
The boy looked at Lily and then back at his screen. Smiling.
???: Thank you.

Lily: Ok! Now let's pick some skills.
Lily said with a big smile. The smile caused the boy to smile as he opened up a massive skill screen. There weren't just thousands of skills. There were hundreds of thousands. So many ranks and so many growth skills.
???: If F is bad just like a grade. Then A is the best. But what does S mean?
Lily: Those are higher than A rank. If A means Awesome then S means Super Awesome.
???: Oh! Thank you.
Lily: No need to say thanks. Just ask mommy anything if you need to.
The boy looked back up at Lily as she said mommy. Lily having a big smile on. It didn't feel weird that she said mommy though. It felt nice that she was so friendly and if he was going to have a mum like her he would gratefully accept it with open arms.

The boy looked down at his customisation screen.

Pressing yes the boy disappeared as he was now somewhere pitch black again.
