1 Prologue

Ivy Sato isn't stupid. She instantly knows something is up when one her close friends calls her and asks her to become a substitute teacher at the school he's currently working at.

"Please, Ivy! You're the only one I know can help!" He sounds both pitiful and pathetic. She is one hundred percent sure if she they're talking face to face - he will grovel on the ground, begging her with tears and snots. Ugh. Disgusting. Thank god, for small mercy.

After a long silence while her friend on the line starts to list of her good qualities and what benefits she can gain at agreeing this 'one-chance opportunity'.

She hums competitively when she began to hear the crack of his voice.

Ivy thought. 'He's desperate and he seriously wants me to do this.'

"You know, I'm not a teacher-material and this is my first time at teaching."

"Excuses," The other dismisses airily. "But, is that a 'yes'?" Now, he doesn't sound a desperate man earlier instead he sounds like an overly excited puppy waiting for his master to give his beloved treats.

Even though she is completely aware this too suspicious and likely a trap because the timing of the call is on dot where she's free from unforeseen time . She can't refuse him.

Heaving a sigh, she agrees.

She hears him make a victory noise before giving her so much 'thank yous'.

Getting tired of his inconsequential babbling. She ends the call without a word. It's rude but it comes with the package deal of friendship with her.

"Are you sure about this?"

Ah, how can she forget? She's not alone in her office.

She's getting rusty. Father will throw a fit if he finds out someone manage to sneak past his daughter.

But, the person is trust-worthy so it's fine.

"Well, there's nothing interesting going in here so a little trip won't be a problem when papa keep pestering me about vacation." She smiles sharply at her personal guard.

A man in his forties leaning at her door frame wearing a black tuxedo suit.

"I'm certain teaching various brats is not a vacation." The man deadpans.

Ivy chuckles lightly, her black hair swaying as she swirls around in the room as her eyes shines with mirth. "Well, it seems fun."

"Your father will kill me."

"That seems fun as well."

Used at her antics, Jun simply sighs and prays in heaven for mercy at the upcoming headaches.

As predicted, she encounters trouble at her appointed class first thing in the morning.

The whole room is occupied with bunch of unruly brats.

It's a complete disaster.

Man, sometimes Jun intuition scares the hell of her of how true most of the times it is.

No wonder that man called her. He can't handle this type of environment.

But for this brats to blatantly ignore and disrespect her is starting to get her nerves.

A teacher has a lot of patience, right? Too bad she's never been patient.

Without a second thought she slams her hand at the teacher desk with so much force that it split neatly in halves.

The loud crack of the broken object causes the entire room to halt.

Some of the splinter woods caught her hand enough to draw a small amount of blood.

'It's not deep.' She stares impassively in her injured hand before shrugging off as she turn her attention back at her class.

Now, they are staring at her with mortification.

Ivy didn't bother to hide her dark glee. Much to her amusement her students pales rapidly the more they stare at her expression. She must be looking quite demonic in front of them. If Jun is here, he'll surely chides her for frightening this brats. But, he's not here at the moment plus Ivy thinks is only fair she give them back their own medicine.

Judging at how they treated her it's no wonder no teacher last in this room in their face.

She smiles evilly at them. The entire class shudders in dread, they think she is like the other victims/teachers they managed throw out then she'll gladly prove them wrong starting now.

She tilts her head slightly. "My name is Ivy Sato. I'm your new homeroom teacher. I'll be in your care. Let's all get along!~"

If possible they turn much paler than earlier. They gulp with trepidation - the person in front of them is someone they can't mess with.

She remembers Lee chat that she take things lightly at teaching them a lesson.

Well, she also did warned Lee about her not being nice. He should take those word seriously.

Seeing their attention solely focus on her. She resist to pout; it seems her fun is over though no matter how much fun to mess with them she has other priority that is to teach them.

Ivy Sato might be a rookie in teaching but she takes seriously her job.

Enough of the teasing, she began around of calling the attendance of her 'ducklings' one by one while memorizing every single of their faces and reaction with her azure eyes.

"Tachibana Haruki!" When she calls out the last name of her student, Ivy doesn't miss how most of the class flinch at the name while warily, sneaking glances at the empty seat on the back row near at the window side.

'So, he's absent, huh?' She absently thought while not moving gaze at the class who began to fidget uncomfortably since she entered the room and the matter of calling 'Tachibana Haruki' is like a taboo she breaks.

Now, there reaction pique her interest and being a kind teacher she is. She asks about him directly and seeing her 'beloved' ducklings starts to sweat bullets much to her utter delight.

"So, anyone knows where Tachibana-kun is? Did he inform anyone of his absence today?"

As expected, there's no response. An utter complete silence.

Everyone refusing to meet her expectant gaze.

"Hey, when someone asks you a question you guys are ought to answer them. Didn't your parents teach you that?" She drawls sarcastically. "It's a common courtesy, you know?"

Absolute silence…

Before she can say something, the door slams open and a very haggard teenage boy appears.

Without sparing her a glance, he went to the empty seat at the back.

'How rude.'

Ivy didn't missed the way the every student sat straighter when he enters.

She tilts her head contemplatively.

'A delinquent? No, that's not it…'

A smile spreads her face making her students shudders.

They know that smile means no good at all baring to experience it first hand.

"So, are you Tachibana Haruki?"

Azure eyes meet surprise onyx ones as if it wasn't expecting to be called. How cute.

He give a small nod. "Yes, I am. Sorry for being late. Honestly, I didn't notice you were there I accidentally break my glasses in hurry and it was too quiet. Wait, you sounds different and you act different, are you new?"

'So, it's not his intent to ignore me, huh? Well, I notice how he almost stumble in his way at the back several times.'

"Yes, I'm your new homeroom teacher, Ivy Sato. Please to meet you, Tachibana-kun."

Tachibana can't help but feel cold all of the sudden.

Why does it felt like his new teacher staring at him like a predator found her prey?

It's just his imagination, right?

Right?
