1 10. Mission Starts .

"you'll have to do better than that," Marcus said to me.

"you do realize that for someone who only started two months ago that I'm doing great." I launched my sword toward him.

he stopped my sword with his own " and you do realize that you could get a lot better than that."

"Maybe if you let me fight against someone else other than you," I said and attacked him again.

"Eve, how many times should I say that you're too powerful to be around normal vampires," Marcus said.

"take a break."

I drank some water and rested a little, then I went to my grave but when I got there I found Vincent there, I stayed a little bit away and heard what he was saying.

"if I can go back in time to that day, I'm ready to take that sword but never let anything happen to you, I miss you Eve and I love you." Vincent said and I started to feel something that I'm supposed to bury deep in me.

I went back to Marcus and I was so angry.

"I'm done waiting, Marcus, I want my revenge, you're going to dig the grave today and let them know that I'm alive." I literally ordered Marcus.

"What gotten into you?" Marcus asked and he wasn't even looking at me and that boiled my blood, I went to him picked him up and threw him to the wall.

"Do Not Test Me Now Marcus." I threatened him.

He launched toward me and pushed me to the table and I threw him away again and got up, I became a tribrid and attacked with the fire breath but he dodged quickly, I rushed to him quickly and sank my fangs on his neck.

after the fight was done Marcus started laughing, I looked at him and asked

"what the hell so funny?"

"Erik." Marcus shouted.

Erik entered the room and said, "Yes, sir Marcus."

"get everyone ready, the mission is getting started, we're digging up the grave tonight."

"you've been testing me." I came up with this conclusion.

"I had to make sure you're ready, now come on we have to go." Marcus got up and held his hand for me, I took it and got up.

we went to the cemetery and started digging up the grave, we got the coffin out and open it, when we were done it was about 5 Am, we hid carefully and waited till my family and Vincent's family has arrived and seen the coffin.

all of them started to look around them and they're filled with horror then again the feeling from yesterday came to me again when I looked at their faces.

My father had two looks on his face number one: shock that I might have been taken out from the grave and number two: hope that I'm alive, he's my father after all no one would know him better than me.

Lancelot had the same look, but Vincent's look was a whole new world and he started to look around him as if sensing me, and I felt bad for him and I just realized that I missed them all of them, but before I can make any move Marcus took my hand and pulled me away and back to our lair.

I went back to my room and I started to think about everything that involves Marcus, the first time I met him he told me that I look like the first tribrid but he never said who she is, he never tells me his plans, and he always doesn't love to talk about Vincent, so I decided to go and face him with all these things.

I went to his room and I found Erik there, I said " Erik can you give us a minute."

Erik hesitated and looked at Marcus for permission when Marcus nodded his head and he got out of the room.

"Alright, your whole plan depends on me so I need to have some respect from these people and they have to follow my orders," I said.

Marcus was reading a book and he answered me without even looking at me "you're not ready yet."

anger rose in me and I headed toward him took the book and slammed it to the table and said: "then when, when will I be ready."

"When I decided that you're ready," he said

"enough is enough Marcus, you can't keep me in the dark forever, you don't tell me anything, you don't let me out of those rooms," I yelled at him.

"because you are not ready yet," he yelled back.

"that's not for you to decide." I chuckled " I turned against my own family, so don't you ever dismiss that I might turn against you."

"and go where? hmm?" he said.

"Anywhere but here where I don't know anything," I said.

he stayed silent and I said, "why, why don't you let me go and see how my family and Vincent are doing, what are their routines, why don't you let me near Vincent, you know that I can hide very well."

"isn't it obvious why?" he said.

I just stared at him.

"I love you, Eve," he said.
