19 Fairy Queen's Anger

"Sylianner." I called out her name.

"Hmmm... what is it, Elvy? Why are you interrupting me while I'm beating you?" Sylianner said as she tilted her head to the side as she stopped kicking me but started pulling my hair.

{A/N: She calls MC Elvy because when he was an elven guardian, he didn't have a name, so she just gave him a name herself.}

"Did you look into my soul?"

"Of course I did. How else do you think I found you."

"When?" I asked her. It was strange that she was able to find me, since she had left the realm after my fall.

"The moment you were born, your 'goddess' tried to hide your presence. But she can't hide you from me. I felt you right away, since I left a mark on your soul before. But don't worry, it's nothing harmful. It's just something that helps me locate your soul," she said with a smug look, thinking that she had outsmarted the goddess.

Her leaving a mark on my soul is both concerning and reassuring. It is concerning because she was able to interfere with my soul, and it is reassuring that if I ever have any problems with my soul, she will be the first person I seek to find a solution.

"What happened to the fairies after my fall?"

"Nothing. Why do you ask, Elvy?" she said, letting go of my hair as she sat back down on my shoulder.

"Then why did you let my kin suffer so much when the elves have been fairies' friends for eons?"

"Nuh uh," she said, putting her hand on her hip.

"What do you mean, nuh uh?"

"Fairies were, no, are your friends. Not those fragile, stuck-up, weak elves that did nothing but live in the prosperity you've created for them. And why do you call them your kin? You've never called them your kin before. What has changed? Just because you're reborn, you become one of them now,so you're just going to forget all your suffering and forgive them after they have used you like a puppet for eons."

"I'm no longer bound to my duty, Sylianner. I am now the prince of the elves, not their guardian."

"NOTHING has changed. You are still protecting them. You are still a puppet for that damned goddess of yours. You still serve her and her weak creation like a DAMN ANIMAL ON A LEASH!"

She said, as her body was enveloped in purple flames and the forest around us turned to ash without even burning.

"Mind how you speak of the goddess, Sylianner, and calm yourself."

"INTO THE SEVEN ABYSS WITH YOUR GODDESS!" she screamed at me as the very space around us started to shake.

I looked around and saw that she had destroyed everything within a hundred meters, only my newly tamed, unconscious elk and I were left untouched. It looks like she was protecting us even in anger.

Carefully and slowly, I moved my hand to my shoulder and gently grabbed Sylianner.

"ARGHHHH...LET GO OF ME, ELVY! I WILL DESTROY THESE ELVES AND FREE YOU FROM YOUR CHAINS."

I brought Sylianner's body to my lips and kissed her entire upper body to calm her down. It's the only thing I know how to do to calm someone down, as I always calm mother and my sister with a kiss.

Sylianner looked shocked for a moment as the flames on her body extinguished. Then she looked at me for a while before letting out a sigh and hugging my face with tears in her eyes.

"I'm sorry, Elvy, but it's just that before your fall, just like you watched those weak elves for eons, I watched you. While you stood under a tree doing nothing, never blinking or breathing, just watching the elves with empty eyes, those elves never appreciated your sacrifice and never cared about you. But I did. I've come to talk to you many times. Of course, I was the only one talking since you never talked, but even if you never responded to me, I still came to talk to you because you were the only one I could talk to freely and be myself. You are my best friend, Elvy. You always have been," she said as she tightened her hug.

"Do you know how happy I was when you finally got your own soul? I was overjoyed because I thought you were finally going to break your chains and be free," she said, starting to cry.

"I was not chained, Sylianner. It was my duty and sole purpose to protect them," but she ignored my words and kept talking.

"When I first noticed that you had gained a soul, I tried to talk to you. But you just ignored your feelings and mine and continued to stand there and do nothing. It saddened me that even when you were given a chance to live, you pushed it away because of those selfish elves."

After crying on my face and hugging me tightly for a while, she let go of me and moved to my shoulder to sit down.

"While your 'kin' get to live their lives fully because of your sacrifice, They never once show their appreciation, even when you go against the whole realm for them."

I looked at Sylianner on my shoulder and tried to recall my past life. It was really strange that I knew Sylianner's name and who she really was, but I do not really remember her ever talking to me in my past life.

Most of my memories were blank before I gained my soul, and after that, other than my memories of the war, all that was left was standing and watching elves.

Her hand began to glow green as the destroyed forest returned to its previous state before being consumed by her fury.

"My greatest regret is that I didn't involve my kin in the War of Dominance, for I feared it would endanger my race. I'm truly sorry, Elvy. You can't imagine how hurt and heartbroken I was when I heard you fall. My heart stopped beating with yours," she said as she hugged my neck and buried her face in my neck.

"It was not your war to wage, Sylianner. You did the right thing by protecting your kind as their queen, but you should have returned after the war to stand with the elves."

"Why would I protect the elves when they were the reason for your fall? If they had never joined the war between Titans and Dragons, none of this would have happened. I mean, it was thanks to you that the elves were untouchable. None of the races could even insult the elves, let alone attack them. But they just had to screw it up by joining the war that was meaningless to them. You didn't die because of the war; it was the elves that killed you with their stupidity," she said as her hair began to turn into purple flames.

It looks like she has a lot of pent-up anger. I should end this argument before she explodes again.

"All that happened in the past doesn't matter anymore, Sylianner. Now that I've returned, I will be stronger than I ever was. We have a bloody but bright future ahead of us, and I need you by my side like the elves need their fairies. Call your kin, let us reunite," I said to her as I made my way to my elk to wake the beast up.

Sylianner looked at me for a while, then put her hand to her chin and started thinking about what I said as the flames in her hair went out and smoke rose from the top of her head.

I moved towards my elk and turned my head towards Sylianner. When she saw me looking at her, she conjured a ball of water and sent it to the elk to wake it up.

The beast startled, jolting from the ground. It looked around before turning its head to me and making eye contact for a moment. Then, it came to me and brushed its head against my face, wanting me to pet it. I patted my elk's head and stretched its neck.

"I just can't say no to you. Very well, the fairies will return to the side of the elves, and of course you need me, Elvy. You are nothing but a weakling now, hehehe," Sylianner suddenly said with a giggle, her hands wrapped in magic. Then she clapped her hands, sending a message to the other fairies to return to the realm.

Stop petting my elk. I turned my head toward Sylianner as she continued to giggle.

"I am very aware of my weakness, Sylianner. That is why I said I would become stronger than I ever was."

She stopped giggling and her violet eyes briefly glowed before she nodded her head.

"Hmmmm... yeah, that's true. Unlike before, your soul is merging with your body now. It will take some time for them to become one because, compared to your soul, your body is nothing but a drop in an ocean."

I jumped onto the back of my elk and started riding towards Naesala. Since I have already accomplished what I came here for, it is time to return.

"So, what name did you choose for your mount?" Sylianner asked, sitting on my shoulder and dangling her feet.

"Cannibal is the name of the beast. I'm thinking about leaving it that way."

When the elk heard me, he stopped and started to hit his hooves on the ground to show his dissatisfaction with me choosing the name Cannibal.

"Look, you've made him angry. You are really cruel to call such a cute animal cannibal. I will give him a name myself."

Sylianner put her finger on her chin and began to hum.

"Hmmmm... how about Moonfury? Moon because his fur is white, Fury because of his red eyes. What do you think?"

"Moonfury... That's a good name."

When Elk heard his new name, he let out a loud wailing bugle noise to show that he was happy with his name.

{A/N:I looked up on the net, and it says that elk's make bugle sounds. idk if it's true.}

When we arrived in front of the marked tree, Naesala waved her hand and the space in front of me began to crack for a moment before it shattered and revealed panicked Naesala standing before us in a battle stance with her hands covered in blood.
