Invade Her Space
"it's been weeks since he told you his name. I thought you would bold up & talk to him? " Vanita thought to herself
she had been waiting for him to approach again but he never did.
"I will do it myself " she decided
"You sure? " Essie asked
"Yes I am" she assured
"what about the vultures around him? "
"You mean Yvonne? huh, she won't mess with me again. "
After grabbing her lunch plate Vanita walked toward Rimuel's seat.
"May I seat here? she asked him
His friends were amazed by her sudden boldness. But still waited for his answer.
"Yah sure " he answered
They gave her a seat & she joined them for lunch. His friends engaged in the conversation with her. which she charmingly enjoyed.
Rimuel didn't say a single word during the whole time. Which depressed her.
"I gave up my dignity & shamelessly came here but all he does is stay silent, "Vanita thought
She finished her meal & thanked the boys for the company. As she stood up to leave he stopped her.
"Your name? " he asked
Due to the joy, she felt her brain almost shutdown. Waking up from her trace she answers back " Vanita "
After hearing her name he stood up and left.
She moved slowly back to her friends who had watched it all happened.
"Well it seems he likes you too, " one told her
"Enjoy it before anything bad happens" the other warned
But she didn't hear anything cause she was still in a daze.
After the lunch scenario, she gained more haters than friends which mostly were on the girl's side.
But she didn't mind at all. Cause she had proved that he liked her.
But after some time nothing happened after that. Everything went back to normal.
The excitement she had felt after he asked her name had vanished & was replaced with anxiety for her coming exams.
Her test scores were relatively not bad but had earned her enough scoldings from her Dad. So she had decided to focus more on her books.
She decided to consult her friends who were better than her which helped her improve greatly
"Mom my body can't take it anymore" she complained
She had been studying like crazy just so she could prove to her father she could do better.
"You should rest. Your father just wanted you to take your studies seriously that's all"
"But Mom he scolded me so bad. I almost cried"
"Well then show him you can"
"I will "she answered
After him getting to know her name, he thought she would approach him again but she never did again. She became so engrossed in her books that he thought he was invisible to her now.
"Hi, dad did I do something wrong?"
"What is it, son? "
"well, it's this girl I told my name. she's been acting weird lately .he continued "I asked her name but ever since then nothing has happened "
His Father listened then answered "As I know you. You have never bothered telling people who you are but you finally told someone .why did you do it? "he asked him
"I wanted her to know who I was," he said
"Well then you should just slowly invade her space & let her get to know you," he told his son
Rimuel thought about it for a while then said "OK dad thanks " then he stood up and left the room
His father had cared for him since he was three years old without anyone's help so he respected him dearly. His mom had died in a car accident that was intended to kill his father.
His father was an ex-mafia who left the dirty world of bloodshed and guns after his mom was killed by one of his enemies leaving him completely devastated with a three-year-old son.
He decided to move on the right path to raise his son. But as they say, "A tiger can never change its spots " he sometimes helped some of his old friends once in a while.
He had raised his son with both skills & intelligence making him quite a useful and dangerous person.
"Should I just go ask her? he thought Or just invade her space "
"Uncle Ricky what does it mean to invade someone's space ?" he asked his father's best friend.
"Hmmm well, I think if it's a woman. It means to go grab her with one hand around her waist & the other by her head and kiss her passionately. " he finished
"But how did you know it was a woman I was talking about ?" Rimuel asked him
"Cause I heard you last time tell your father you had told some girl your name"
"OK thanks, Uncle Ricky "
"All I have to do is invade her space just like that & she will talk to me "he happily thought.
