15 minutes later, I found the city again. But before I enter, I heard a woman scream and laughing of several men. Running to the direction of the noise and I found five humans one of them is pregnant and a couple of danag and lobo. That's where people come from huh… why though? I decided to intervene but someone grabs my arm and pulls me back.

"What are you doing?'' Cedric and the other two are hiding in some house watching from the window. All of them are trembling.

"I'm going to help them." I told him, getting frustrated as we hear the noise outside. I start to stand again when Eric grabs my shirt this time.

"There's nothing we can do, there so many of them. Please just stay put." He whispers to me, begging me to stop moving. Looking through I understand what he is trying to tell me. Based on what I experience so far from the aswangs, I know that they will kill me. So I reluctantly hide with them but resolving that I will watch this so I will realize my inadequacy.

From what I heard from them this people are the relatives or loved ones of the person whom give Shadow or the Alphas some displeasure. They put them in here so they can suffer; blaming themselves for the loss of the one they love.

"Please let me go, I will tell my husband to bring more human entrails to Lord Harold so please bring me back." A pregnant woman kneels in front of the Lobo as she begs to be release. The Lobo just clicks his tongue backhanded her and kicks her belly making her gurgle and throw up.

"You can't hurt this one my friend. We need his husband." A danag stops the lobo from hurting her more.

"This cattle dared to touch me. She needs to suffer." He extracted his fangs and scare the woman laughing as she screams. "But you are right, we need her. But if the doctor angers your alpha once more, I will eat her baby." When the lobo agreed, the woman sobs with sorrow and dread.

My fire inside starts to be restless like it wants to go out as my emotion starts to flare out. Eric and Carlo hold my hands; I look at them as they silently cry watching what is happening. I tried to control my emotion and don't watch it anymore. Even if my eyes can't see it, my ear can hear it all.

"Fuck you! Wait till my brother found all of you and kills you, he will make you suffer!" I heard a guy shouts at them as the pregnant woman continues to sobs.

"Who is this pathetic guy, his bravado is laughable." I heard one of the engkanto asks.

"That's the brother of the leader of Engkanto hunters. Bait, of course."

"I will kill all of you. You all are abominations. Filthy piece of shits!" Most of the women scream and a thud sound have been heard. I open my eyes again to see a huge guy lying on the ground holding his neck that has been slashed and the blood pours from his neck.

"Shit what did you do?" A Danag looks at the Lobo with frustration on his face.

"I am getting annoyed to his whining so I stopped it."

"One less hunters is good too." The Danag agrees. "What about the body?"

"Food is food" Then the danag bites the neck to that still breathing guy and drinks the blood. The Lobos shift to his wolf form and eats his entrails while the guy screams, chokes and dies. The other captives try to run but fail. The engkantos ignored them and continue to eat the human.

When they are satisfied on what they did, they leave the plane again through the portal. We rush to the four humans remaining and help them on their feet. The unfortunate human remains were just few flesh and bones. Carlo helps the pregnant woman who is still sobbing and holding her belly. He sits her to a nearest big rock and whispers something to her; she stops her sobbing looks at him and nod. She looks far out as if she's thinking something so deep.

"What did you say to her?" Eric asks Carlo when he returns to us.

"There are times for us to stay still and there are times for revenge." Carlo grits his teeth as he answers.

I brought out the foods I gathered, all of them stares at me in shock but starts to surround me begging for food. I told them that they have to wait for me to grill the fish but they can start with the fruits. They need to ration it because I don't know when I can get fruits again. I sneakily summon a fire to make some campfire to grill fishes.

Eric volunteers to grill the fishes and Carlo volunteers to ration the fruits. They stare at me waiting for my commands and tell them to sit around their place and wait for their food. The distribution of works can wait because they are still in shock. We need to supervise this people for us to survive this plane as I search a way to leave this place.

This is what I can do right now, feed them and assures them that they will never be in hunger again. I can't protect them yet because of my weakness. But one thing for sure, I will get stronger… I will use this opportunity to get strong.

The night came but I'm still thinking what happened earlier. I watch the crackling of the fire as I replay it on my mind again and again. Carlo is sleeping near the bonfire saying that the fire makes him calm especially now that he needed it most. Cedric is sleeping in my lap as he grasps the hem of my short.

Earlier, he sits beside me trembling he looks at me multiple times but he never speaks what is his in mind. I know that he is still a kid and what happened must traumatized him.

"Is that always…" he shook his head no.

"They always just leave them here, hits them sometimes but that's it. This is the first time they killed and ate someone." He shivered after he said that and rubbed his legs wanted to say something.

"I will not judge you; just tell me what you want to say." I said to him when he became restless.

"Can I sleep near you?" I nodded and pat his head. A young boy who is no one to take care for is seeking help from me. Who am I to say no? He smiled and used my lap as a pillow, I startled because I never thought he will do that but I just smiled and let him sleep. Eric sits beside me getting me out of reminiscing he sighs and stares at the bonfire.

"Do you want to sleep in my lap too?" I jokingly said to him when he just sits beside me for a while without saying anything. He just says fucker and thinks for a second.

"I'm really glad you listened to me earlier." He whispers at me. I look at him for a while and wait for him to continue. "It pains my heart when I imagine you getting hurt if you disobey us and run towards them."

"You guys are my top priority don't worry. I also know my capability and that time? I am certain I will lose the fight even if I shifted." We don't speak for a while just watching Cedric sleeping peacefully in my lap.

"Are you planning to take care of him too?" Eric asks me when he reaches for Cedric. He hesitates for a second looks at me then brushes some strands of Cedrics' hair from his forehead.

"We can't leave him behind…"

'"I think we will be here for a long time." He says to me finally looking at me intently. "Can you tell me who and what you are?" I stare at him for a long time contemplating on what I will say to him. I look between Carlo and Cedric making sure that they are deeply asleep. I told him everything except him being my possible Iroga, he listens to me and never interrupts me.

"I never knew that the world we're living in is this vast and complex."

"Are you not scared? This new world you are living in is dangerous."

"The world I knew was dangerous and scared the shit out of me. I still manage to live though. You just added magical flavor into it." He smiles when he said that to me. The urge to kiss him is getting stronger that I lean my head at him. He looks at me puzzlingly for a while and when he realized what I am going to do he pushes me away. He stares at the fire blushing.

"I am going to sleep now." He lies at the ground behind me and tried to sleep. I laugh softly and watch the three people that I currently protecting now.
