Smash my face

"Age?" one officer asked me at the police station.

"16"

" Area of residence?"

" Levia estate"

" Name?"

" Michael... Michael Marcus" I said relaxing my quick breathing. Until today, I have never been in a police station in my life. I was the most disciplined kid in school, I had never even be suspended or expelled. This was my first time in a government law facility and I had to admit, it wasn't as good as always depicted in the movies. Before I was taken to the interrogation room, I was first placed in a cell with a bunch of drunks and fearsome huge men. Since I was a minor, I didn't last in there for more than half an hour since it was against government laws for a minor to be held that long.

" Marcus?" The officer frowned " what's your dad's name?"

" Dante Marcus" I answered. The officer looked at me weirdly then gave me back my shades that were taken at the front desk. Now that I saw his face clearly, he appeared to be wary of my eyes. I quickly put them back on my eyes

" Let's get this over with" he sighed motioning to me to start speaking.

" I… he pushed me more than three times and I uhm...I beat him" I even felt stupid for saying what I was saying right now but that was really the case.

" He just pushed you? Push you to the ground or just a slight friendly push?" The officer squinted his eyes

" It wasn't exactly friendly and he didn't push me to the ground , he pointed at my chest with some force though" I shrugged embarrassed that I came out as the bad person even in my own version of the story. The officer shook his head with an amused expression then scribbled down some things on a notebook.

" Since we got the report that he isn't dead, you won't spend the rest of your life in jail. But the guy would have to walk on head gear for the rest of the year, his medical bills are on you..." He finalized

" All of it?" I widened my eyes

" Your dad is the founder of one of the most richest companies in Crest country , don't be so stingy it's also your responsibility since you put him there in the first place" the officer said

" No , not that. I meant his face, all of it?" I asked with a bitter smile. Money wasn't even my concern

" Concussion, broken nose, smashed jaws...don't get me started about the eyes " the officer was explaining like he was imagining the current state of the man. " You can't just mess anyone's face like that when they point you" he said. I lowered my head , how could I explain to him that I didn't mean to do it. But explanations won't help much at this point.

" You may leave" he stood abruptly

" Shouldn't I be going to court or something?" I asked suprised

" If it was my face you smashed then I would have had you sued," the officer replied plainly while releasing me from the handcuffs " you are rich and between kids, it's just a fight and it's normal. Between men, that's a different case. You are lucky you are still sixteen."

Sebastian drove me home from the police station after I was cleared out.
