Phoenix

After traveling miles of distance Fu Shui Jin and Ying Yue reached the valley of Mt. Lunabase. They found that the deadly destruction was not only done in the uphills of Mt. Lunabase but also in the valley. "What is this? Everything is destroyed. It seems no one ever lived here," Ying Yue muttered as she stepped ahead.

The debris of houses could be seen there and the blood stains on the ground. In her world she only read about such fatal destruction in the books during school time but had never thought that she would witness those things. She coveted her eyes using her palms when she saw a body with blood all over it.

Shui Jin came near Ying Yue. "Why do they have to die? It was not their fault," Ying Yue told Shui Jin as she sobbed. Shui Jin went near the dead body and bent on his knees. He placed his hand over the corpse's hand which resulted in it's turning into ashes. There was a slight pain around his chest hitching his heart once in a while. Suimu indeed succeeded in wounding him.

Shui Jin stood up. "Miss Yue, let's leave. Staying here for much longer will only bring us misery" Shui Jin suggested. Ying Yue wiped the tears off her eyes. She stopped sobbing and they walked ahead.

After walking several meters, Ying Yue's legs gave up. "I can't walk anymore. I cannot feel my legs. They are numb" Ying Yue meekly said as her throat dried up. Shui Jin wrapped his arm around Ying Yue's waist and flew up in the sky again.

"Aren't you t-tired?" Ying Yue asked with a stutter.

"I am not tired, Miss Yue. We can rest after travelling a few more miles," Shui Jin replied. Ying Yue nodded in agreement and rested her head on Shui Jin's shoulder. "Fufu, I am still worried. What about your elder brothers? Shall we not wait for them?" Ying Yue asked as she gradually closed her eyes.

"As I have said before, do not worry about my elder brothers. They are safe. The Water Demon is no match against the elder brothers," asserted Shui Jin. He realized that Ying Yue had fallen asleep so, he decided to find a resting ground for them.

Covering a few more miles, Shui Jin landed on the ground when he reached a familiar place- the outermost border of Taiyi region. He managed to find a resting house nearby. He walked in and spotting the owner, he asked for two rooms.

The owner kept gawking at Shui Jin for a few seconds and then replied, "Qianbé ( Young Master), I am unable to provide you with two rooms at the moment. Will one room suffice for tonight?"

Shui Jin thought for a moment before he agreed to it and asked the owner to show the allotted room to him. The owner called for a helper who assisted Fu Shui Jin for that matter. The helper was a young boy who upon reaching their destination asked Fu Shui Jin whether he wanted the dinner to be served or not. "No. But thank you for asking," Shui Jin humbly answered.

The helper bowed his head and left the room, closing the door behind him.

Shui Jin placed Ying Yue on the mattress gently, not wanted to arouse her sleeping form. He noticed how Ying Yue's face had turned pale. He gently grabbed Ying Yue's hand and pulled the sleeves up. Checking the pulse of Ying Yue, Shui Jin realized that her Qi level was lowered. 'Was it because the Phoenix showed up?' Shui Jin wondered and pulled his hand back. He pulled the blanket up and covered Ying Yue with it.

He joined his two fingers and a blue colored radiance appeared over his fingers. He placed them near Ying Yue's forehead this, stabilizing her Qi level. "Miss Yue has a weak body but the spirit inside her is so powerful that it has extracted her energy," Shui Jin thought. Half an hour later, Shui Jin stopped transferring his Qi to Ying Yue before standing up from the mattress.

He placed his hand over his chest where he had the injury. Shui Jin was dejected because he was unable to do anything this time as well. Suimu had overpowered him but thanks to his Elder Brothers, he was saved. 'Miss Yue could have lost her life because of my incapability,' Shui Jin thought as sat on the chair there staring at the scenery out of the window.

Shui Jin drifted off to sleep on the chair because he was also tired after travelling all these miles. His sleep broke abruptly when he felt someone's presence in the room. He lifted his head and saw his both brothers there.

He immediately stood up from the chair and asked about Suimu. "He left in the middle of the fight," Zewu Jin replied and then looked at Ying Yue who was on the bed.

"Is Miss Yue alright?" Zewu Jin asked.

"Yes, First Brother," Shui Jin replied.

"This is the second time we lost so many people. The destruction that he created that time with Water Sect was not big like this time. He ended the entire Taiyi Sect," said Fai Zhen Jin with an apprehension and exasperation.

"Indeed, the Taiyi Sect was one of the biggest Sect on earth. Fu Shui, I have something to say. Suimu is after the Fire Spirit because he knows that the Fire Spirit is your cure. Now, we need to Miss Yue from him because we do not know when he will again come back," Zewu Jin menacingly said.

Fu Shui Jin agreed with his Elder Brother. "Brother, that is why I want Miss Yue to learn the Cultivation. Earlier the Phoenix had appeared which is the Cultivation beast that Miss Yue possess. Because of that her Qi level had reduced tremendously," Shui Jin worriedly said.

"It has only one solution. Jin Sect has to start teaching the Cultivation to the young people. I am afraid if Suimu would target us again or the other sects?" Zewu Jin was skeptical about that.

"I will look into that, Brother," Fai Zhen forwarded his help.

"Fai Zhen, it can be risky for you," proclaimed Zewu Jin.

"Brother, do not worry about me. Suimu will not stop now. Furthermore, he had encountered the Fire Spirit so, we need to watch his movements," Fai Zhen pronounced.

Zewu Jin nodded and looked at Shui Jin which was terrified the most. "Fu Shui," Zewu Jin placed his hand on Shui Jin's shoulder and continued, "Do not think about the past. Nothing will happen."

But those words were not sufficient to calm down Fu Shui Jin. Those memories of 800 years ago had again revived which Shui Jin did not forget a single day and now it was going to haunt him more.
