Willas is really enjoying his time in the capital, Highgarden is his home and always will we but his father the lord paramount of reach would rather throw feasts and gorge on food like there is no tomorrow than perform his duties,so all that mostly falls on to willas

This is not bad thing,if his father really started to do his duties as the lord paramount than that would be catastrophic for both house Tyrell and the reach as whole

As the heir to Highgarden willas is happy to serve his house in anyway necessary but now that he has left the reach for few moons he is actually enjoying his freedom

He and Margaery explored the north with tyrion when the crown prince was gone beyond the wall,now they are here experiencing the life in the capital discovering the intricacies of the city that rules over their whole continent

And from what he has seen and what he heard from tyrion king's landing is crawling with snakes as well as people,all of these snakes trying to gain more power,influence,gold,etc one way or the other,some of them were born here while others came from all over the seven kingdoms and the world in their greed for more

But while the city might be crawling with snakes and people but the dragons in the red keep rule them all,House Targaryen's hold over the captial is hard as Valyrian steel all because of Princess Rhaenys

Aside from feeding the entire region on their own princess Rhaenys has done a lot for the Crownlands and king's landing, using the crown's gold princess has funded a lot of projects for the people from orphanages to septs and godswoods,that with the expansion of city and the farmlands in the region work and food is always available

The princess is already hailed as Princess Rhaenys the good by the people,if someone is foolish enough to stage a rebellion and try to take this city they will not only have to face the the crown's host but each and every person from smallfolk to the lords from the crownlands

Willas would count his lucky stars if he could marry princess Rhaenys,he would even agree to be the king consort if the princess became the queen,only consummating for heir making purposes so the princess Rhaenys can be happy with her dornish cousin

But that seems unlikely while there is a lot of support for the princess there are also many who support the crown prince,he saw that in his time in the north,the northern people would gladly go the war for their white wolf and with north comes the riverlands and the vale,aside for this the crown prince is the first sword of the seven kingdoms,while the Princess is the youngest master fire bender since Aegon the conqueror the white wolf has already slaughtered many top level elemental master benders

Most fathers beg to the gods for just one heir who are prodigies when it comes to bending and battle and who can get the loyalty and support of their people,but the king is already blessed twice and his other children are still young who knows what the other three would accomplish

Or they could just marry each other they are Targaryens after all,both the crown prince and the princess place great importance on their duty to their people and the realm,they could marry just to solve the issue of inheritance and from what Willas has seen of the prince,while the prince is dangerous he is not unreasonable or cruel,he would not keep his half sister from being together with her dornish cousin

While he is stuck in his own head while drinking tea with Margaery tyrion came busting into the chambers,"Quickly to the throne room something huge is happening"the imp said

Willas and Margaery quickly made their way to the throne room with tyrion,as they reached there the room was already filled with lords and courtiers alike,as they walked in he saw that the room was set up for a trial

The king is sitting in the main seat among the four grand wooden seats that were placed before the iron throne,with the queens on his both sides and the grand queen sitting in the one to the far right

Both princess Rhaenys and the crown prince stood at the left side and the old hand standing to the right

It took a while for the trial to actually start as people were still coming in to witness this trial that was called in such haste

As the people in the throne room finally settled in the person on trial is brought out in chains,it is Littlefinger lord Petyr Baelish,as soon they saw the accused everyone was shocked and whispers started to flow across the room

Willas has met the master of coin only a few times since he came to the captial as he has no interest in visiting Littlefinger's various establishments,but lord Baelish always unnerved willas a little from the beginning,but he didn't think much of that

According to tyrion aside from being the master of coin Littlefinger has friends all across the seven kingdoms especially in king's landing,this trial is certain to create waves all across the realm

Jon Arryn the hand of the king came forward,"Lord Baelish you are charged with treason against the crown and the people of the seven kingdoms,you used your position on the small council as the master of coin to steal from the crown for the last five years with the total amount being a little more half a million gold dragons,how do you plead ?"

The room was once again shocked, Littlefinger look shocked for a moment before his face turned dark,"Not guilty" he said loudly trying to keep it together but failing

The hand took out a thick book,"This is the your secret double ledger of the crown's finances that you wrote by your own hand,this has clear records of how much and when you stole from the crown,aside from this we have also confirmed that the half of the stolen gold is in an account with the Ironbank,and the rest is distributed among other banks,all of these accounts are in your name lord Baelish and the amount matches exactly to the amount stolen from the crown,what do you have to say about that"

Littlefinger's face went from bad to worst,he is trapped there is no way out of this,and that to for stealing from the crown no one will dared to come and plead for him now

"I demand a trial by combat"he yelled but it came off more like a plea for help

But this time it was the king who spoke,"you shall get one as it is your right lord Baelish,the crown's champion will be my son,crown prince Aegon Targaryen,it is fitting as he is one who discovered your deceit,pray to the gods for mercy lord Baelish because the crown won't show you any"

With this Littlefinger's fate has already been decided,the crown's champion is the first sword of the seven kingdoms,the prince is barely nearing his 16 nameday but he has killed more master benders than anyone in the living memory,the only people who can stand a chance against him are all in the king's guard
