Storm's End

Robert Baratheon pov

He received news of Jeffrey's death a while ago,his son died falling off a horse in the north but Robert didn't feel sad for losing the boy,it is sad to admit that as a father but that doesn't make it any less true

Maybe it was because that boy didn't take anything from him and everything from his mother,all three of his children took after their mother but he actually cares about mrycella and tommen

These days he often wonders why did he even get married to cersie,after the rebellion it didn't matter much because he couldn't have Lyanna and he needed the lannisters gold to restore the stormlands after the rebellion

After receiving news of his son's death he received a raven from his wife demanding to call his banners,Cersei's letter was like ramblings of mad woman,she wanted him to declare war on the Starks because she is convinced that Sansa killed Joffrey and Starks somehow planned his son's death

The woman has really gone mad,he sent a raven to Tywin lannister about the maddness spewing out of his daughter mouth,at least the old lion still his sense about him,he took his daughter back to the rock after Cersie crossed the neck to knock some sense back into her head

But that crazy women still had the gall to demand he send mrycella and tommen to her to Casterly Rock,like she can just take his children away from him and the stormlands, Robert was ready to march to the rock with his war hammer to knock some sense into that golden bitch,but Tywin's raven soon came after her's,the old lion basically told Robert that he will take care of Cersie for now as she will stay in the rock till she can come back to her senses

The golden bitch can just stay in to rock till she rots for all he cares,Robert actually feels good in the absence of his dear wife,he no longer feels like he has to drink every five minutes just because Cersie's tantrums,he still whores around but it has been lot less since Cersie is gone from storm's End

With Edric Storm his bastard handling all the affairs with the maester he can do whatever he wants,but with Joffrey dead he has to think about his heir,while his second son tommen is a sweet child the boy it too soft to actually be the lord paramount of the stormlands

Maybe he can get the king to legitimise Edric his bastard,this will make the old lion all pissy,but his bastard is true Baratheon,his bastard is earth bender like him and strong enough to lead the stormlands,and Edric is already ruling over Strom's End more than Robert ever will

But Robert has to handle this properly because Tywin lannister is going to be pain his ass one way or the other after the old lion hears about this

King's Landing

Robb Stark pov

The royal flagship slowly sailed to King's landing,it is good that they took the ships back to the captial instead of taking the king's road

Robb stood at the deck of the ship watching as the giant captial city got closer and closer,he has never been to King's landing before heck he has never been this south before

But this will be the start of his many travels here,because when Jon becomes the king Jon would need Robb here to deal with the viper's nest they call the captial

As the ships got closer Robb was able to take a good look at king's landing,he could see the inner city which was the entire king's landing before,now the city has expanded outside the walls in every direction expect the blackwater bay

He could see that city was expanded according to the roads coming out of the original city,they first made all the roads wider and then built the outer city accordingly

"It is amazing isn't it,so many people living in such tight space behind those city walls,believe me it was even worse before we expanded the city,and the gods the smell,it always smelled like shit and rot in the city,Ghost and Greywind wouldn't have enjoyed staying here one bit"Jon said looking at the city

"How long has it been since you left?"Robb asked

"More than a decade now,I left when I was five and never looked back,that was when I first started dreaming about the white walkers and the long night,I knew that the north needed to be ready to face them before everyone else"

"So why are we here now instead of Winterfell ?" He couldn't help but ask

"Because the north can't face them alone even with the giants and the freefolk,we can only survive the long night together or we will be slaughtered one by one just like the freefolk,and this is just the summer when winter comes that's when the walkers will truly march on us" Jon answered,his voice hard as Valyrian steel

Growing up Robb always loved Jon's smile,his smile is always bright and reassuring,the kind that always make you feel like everything is going to be alright no matter what

Only now he is seeing the strength behind that smile,now he is able to see a glimpse of what it takes to have the weight of the entire world on your shoulders and still be able to smile like that

Jon was Robb's rock from even when they were little boys,Jon always supported him and took care of him even though Robb is the older one among them by few moons,now Robb can finally stand beside him to help and support Jon like Jon did for years
