His Name

"His name is Hayden Reus."

I feel a sense of shame and fear as I say his name. Just saying it reminds me of the worst time of my life. I wipe the tears that are rolling down my face and try to cool my expression. Realizing my legs are shaking, I put my hands on my thighs to physically stop them and try to focus on the situation at hand. My eyes can't seem to move from the floor. 

"Is that all Astra?"

"Yeah, that's it."

"I think Astra has told you enough. Why does she need to tell you these things Ms. Callista? What does making her talk about those things do to help us?"

"Well Xander, it's important I know what sort of things she is hiding since the public is about to get to know her very well. After all the two of you are dating."

Wait what? I don't remember telling her we're dating. Maybe Xander gave her the wrong impression when he said he was pursuing me.
