Emma stepped away from Therius' arms and gave him a look. "I never told you that I was pregnant, Therius. How do you know?"

Therius' eyes widened momentarily for a moment and he cursed himself inwardly. "Dean Anrankin told me."

"No, he didn't!" Emma snapped at him. "I told him to not say a word about my pregnancy so I could give you the good news. He won't lie to me. You know I can read minds."

Therius looked at his wife and felt his heart ache. He stepped towards her only to see the woman he loved take two steps back away from him, even while he tried to reach out to her. "Emma, calm down for a moment. Let's talk this over once we get inside of the palace."

Inside of the palace?

Would Therius ensure that she didn't leave the palace after this time? Emma was panicking and somehow suddenly she was feeling paranoid. She didn't want to step inside right now when there were so many guards who could keep her locked up.
