Preparing To Take The First Step

(I am back! To anyone still reading these stories, my surgery has gone well, and I can begin writing again although I can't stay too long in front of screens, so I'm only going to be posting on this story for a while)

Entry 13:

Linus Ozias POV:

After gaining the tech tree from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I begin to comb through the information I have, and with a smile on my face, new plans start to form.

" Marcus, prepare the lab. It's time to do some late-night experimentation". I say as I get out of bed, and honestly, while I wish I could continue sleeping, I don't even need it anymore.

And to those who think I'm not training my new biology, I am, as I have placed solar lanterns around every room to absorb the sun's rays constantly.

I have been testing my strength with each passing day, and I can definitely, and it's only growing stronger, as the days go by, and it's only growing stronger as the days go by.

I'm going to the lab to develop the super soldier serum present in the Falcon and Winter Soldier television show.

It was an improved version of the original formula created during World War 2 as it granted more significant benefits and did not change one's external physiology.

And while I might not be the most exponential boost, any little bit helps, especially in this world. Honestly, I'm excited as I've only scratched the surface of my newly acquired knowledge.

" I'll develop a more stable version of extremis for myself as that regeneration is beautiful," I say, smiling to myself, which, if anyone saw, would be mildly scared.

I look at my wristwatch and see that it's only midnight, and the meeting with the protectorate is not until around 4:00 p.m. Due to my new biology, I don't need sleep.

I look to my Dread AI and some androids in the lab to keep it organized. I then say.

" I apologize for messing up what you guys have cleaned, but I need the lab right now and dread helping me with some of these calculations."

" Boss, you need to get yourself a girlfriend Dread says with an almost pitying tone."

I looked at Dread, who was on my screen, and said, "Well, Dread, I will start dating. After we deal with the small issue of extra-dimensional aliens."

" Just trying to lighten the mood, boss, because you know you never should experiment when angry or also have to give you snickers," Dread says, almost smirking.

"If I ever become omnipotent, I am erasing memes from your memory bank," I say in an entirely severe tone.

After berating myself for allowing AI access to memes, I program the required materials into the replicator, which will create the super soldier serum.

"It's going to be a long night," I think to myself.

5 Hours Later

Marcus POV:

I watch as our creator runs himself ragged mentally, at least as I believe he can't physically get tired due to his new physiology.

I want to help him and ease his burdens, but this is necessary as I have been programmed with all the threats in this world.

But as if sensing my unease, the creator turns to me and says, with a smile on his face.

" I know you don't like me running myself ragged like this, Marcus, but this work is necessary because having these serums will help me, even if they are only small steps."

It worries me as ever since I was created, the creator barely takes a break unless he sleeps, and even then, he hardly sleeps more than five to six hours.

But even if he doesn't know it, the sleep he does get is seemingly consumed by as based on his eye movements. When he sleeps, he is under duress.

I cannot dream, I cannot sleep, I can replicate these actions, but I can't do them, so anything I say will be seen as meaningless.

" Sir, I would recommend rest as you have been experimenting for over five hours now," I say, trying to appeal to the more logical side of the creator.

As if so much time has passed, the creator looks at me, almost surprised, and checks his wristwatch.

" I guess I got too deep into experimenting. It's funny, though, this is probably the closest I'm going to be to a tinker fugue".

He says almost jokingly but puts the materials down, which is luckily the less important aspect of his actions.

But instead of returning to his room to rest, he looks at the dosage he has created of the improved Super Soldier Serum.

And to my shock, he drinks it immediately and begins to convulse in utter pain.

I rushed over to him to check for any discernible injuries, and with my different viewing models that were included with my eyes, I could see the changes rapidly occurring.

I can see that the muscles and tendons are increasing in density and efficiency, as well as his bones, which are adapting to his newly improved muscles.

I immediately call over to other androids to help me carry him to his room, which we proceed to do within a minute.

" Come on, Sir, you're stronger than this. A little pain won't stop you come on", I say in an uncertain tone.

As if hearing my voice, he grabs my arm tightly, which nearly crushes it, but as I cannot feel pain, it is an unnecessary gesture as I can be repaired within a couple of minutes.

"I won't die just yet because I will not die a second-time maidenless" " the creator says in a strained tone while smirking.

2 Hours Later

Linus POV:

After losing consciousness for about an hour, I open my eyes and find myself not in excruciating pain, which I believe is a win.

I then see Marcus tending to me with various cooling rags and ice as he says tentatively.

" Are you alright, sir, as you have seemingly regained consciousness".

While the platinum kryptonite gave me the abilities of a very early-stage Kryptonian, this one is just a general booster, as I can feel the difference.

While my musculature did not change, I could feel the increased power within them, specifically within each part of my body.

Most of this change would require days of getting used to the increased strength, speed, and agility, but thanks to my essences and previous experience dealing with my growing powers, it is not an issue.

On the Kryptonian front, I can feel that my body is taking in solar radiation much more easily now and that the efficiency has improved by over 50%.

I would return to my lab to complete the extremis serum, but I don't want the added internal heat to be noticed once I can create countermeasures.

Overall, this experience improved my brute rating by one or two margins, which I approve of as slow and steady wins the race in this case.

I then say to Dread, as he has access to every part of the house, "Dread, a status update on the experimental prototypes."

" All the prototypes have been tested by the Android Sir and our operating at 100 percent efficiency and are ready to be tested in public."

I smile as that means the nanobot explosives have been completed as well. For context, I have created these nanobots to be the little bombs that I will place in each person, like coil, for example.

Due to his ability to split timelines, he won't even be able to notice that my nanobot will crawl through his nose undetected and enter his brain and will remain there until I see fit to blow it up.

His death will be ruled an accident or the result of organized crime, and if coincidentally all of his crimes were revealed, tarnishing his reputation, it would be all the better.

And due to my tinker of fiction's ability, which allows for my technology to not be scanned, no one would be able to detect them.

To think all it would take is one handshake, and then he would have a nano explosive in his head, similar to the suicide squad.

The nanobots also act as little spies, as when they connect to the brain, they are able to see and hear through their bodies, which will be connected to a network run by Dread.

This will be so none of my enemies can get the drop on me, and bad eggs can also be rooted out. I am in a world of powers. Most of them are as squishy as regular humans.

Unless your crawler or Nilbog, these nanobots will be the death of a lot of parahumans, and what's even better, these will most likely be attributed to an explosive-based tinker.

But honestly, the main reason for this is to study the shards themselves to cut off the connections and kill them without killing the host. Once the entities are dead, the Shards will begin cannibalizing their hosts and becoming new entities.

I will not let this happen.

I look back at my wristwatch and see that it is only 7:00 a.m. and realize I don't even have a suit to attend the meeting, which appalls me as I forgot such an essential detail.

Luckily, the suit itself is easy to create, and it is specially created to house the nanobots.

Because you see, my friends, my plan is twofold while I use my limited telepathy to scan the thoughts of the people in the building, avoiding the heroes and higher-ups. The Nanobots will spread, and my information network will soon span far and wide.

I am going complete Institute from Fallout 4 here, but it's necessary, at least.

That's what I'm telling myself. I don't know what's coming out of the other side of this, but I'm going to have, but I'm going to have to deal with it.

I then looked to Kara, who was making me an early breakfast, and simply said to either myself or the people around me.

"Today is the day we take the first step."
