A Rowdy Director And A Special Organization

Entry 127:

Mash Kyrielight POV:

"Ah, there you are, Mash. That won't do, you know, walking around without permission." Lev Lainur says as he adds, "Oh, someone is already with you? You're… I see… The rookies who were just assigned here. I am Lev Lainur, a technician here at CHALDEA. Who are you?"

I then look to Ozias Senpai as he smiles and says, "Yes, we are quite green, as one may say, and I was just helping my new friend here as she had a bad reaction to the simulation battle at the entrance. But I am Linus Ozias, master candidate number 49." Ozias Senpai seems different from when he was talking to me.

"Don't forget about me! I am Ritsuka Fujimura, master candidate number 48, and Ozias Kun. Are we already friends?" Ozias Senpai smiles at the boisterous girl as he helps her up.

That smile is fake even though it is the same as before. Lev then says. " Hmm, Ozias and Fujimura huh? So you both of you are the last of the 49 candidates?" Well, welcome to CHALDEA. I'm glad you both are here."

Linus then says, "We are both honored to be here, as this is a historic moment, after all." Lev then smirks slightly and says, "Yes.. historic indeed, but I must ask, since you too were the last of the public applicants, have you had any prior experience."

Ozias Senpai then nods and says, "I have some experience in mage craft and mystic code creation, but I am more of a creator than a fighter." Ritsuka then says in her odd way, "I have experience as well. All five minutes of it!"

Ritsuka Senpai is an interesting human. Ozias Senpai sighs at her antics. It's like they are married already. He then adds, "We are all novices in the beginning, but such is the beauty of time as it allows us all to learn."

Ritsuka then adds, "Hey, what do ya mean novice?"  Ritsuka Senpai is delusional. I must ask how Ozias Senpai is keeping a straight face.

"Oh, so one is an amateur and the other somewhat decent? Right, come to think of it, we did hire anyone who applied, so such things will happen. But do forgive my inconsiderate words." Lev says while I wonder why his words are so crass today.

Ozias Senpai just keeps smiling along with Lev as he says, "It is no skin off my back, Mr. Lainur, as in all honesty, it is true I am decent, and I do have plenty of room to improve along with my friend here."

I wonder if Lev is not able to see it. Ozias Senpai is lying to him. While his signature is low, he is keeping it virtually undetectable, and from what I am sensing, the magic within him is calming. It's nice. Although I fear digging in any deeper should Ozias Senpai notice.

"Ah yes, 38 elite mages, plus our 11 talented public applicants, capable of spiritron dives created by CHALDEA. If any of you have questions, please ask Mash or myself anytime." Lev says but then looks toward me.

"Speaking of which, Mash, what were you both discussing before? Have any of you three met each other before?" Ritsuka then says, "Nope, we met all on our own, and my gallant knight Ozias Kun here saved me from a grim fate." I added, "Ozias Senpai caught Ritsuka Senpai before she could face plant onto the ground due to her disoriented state."

"Why must you make things less fun, Kyrielight San?" I then shake my head and say, "I have no idea what you are talking about." Lev then says, almost chuckling, "Ah, you must have been disoriented from the simulations when you entered, right? Spiritron Dives can get to you if you are unprepared. But you both seem to be fine, so I would recommend heading to the Director's orientation even though I wish I could take you both to the Infirmary."

"Orientation!? Oz, we gotta go! wait, Director?" Lev sighs and says, "Yes, the orientation is meant to serve as a means to introduce the other master candidates to one another in five minutes, I may add."

I then asked, "Dr. Lev, would I be able to present at the orientation too? I do not want to leave Ozias Senpai alone with Ritsuka Senpai as he may catch her delusions."

"Hey, I am not delusional; I am just that awesome!" Ozias Senpai then adds dryly, "Do you believe in your own hype that much, Ritsuka San?" She then says immediately, "I am the hype!" Now, Oz, to the orientation room."

Lev then says, "Mash, please accompany these two as I can understand your fears. Although personally, I would stand in the corner of the room as you know how the Director feels about you."

Ozias Senpai then asks as he is being dragged to the orientation, "By the way, Kyrielight San, why do you keep calling us Senpai?"

I honestly don't know, but before I can answer, Lev says, "Oh, don't worry about her because, to her, everyone at your age is her senpai, but it is unusual for her to actually call someone that. This may be her first time, actually. I'm intrigued to say, Mash, why do you call them senpai?"

I then say, "Well, Ozias Senpai and Ritsuka Senpai are very human." Lev then looks confused as I continue, "Simply put, I feel calm next to them and not threatened, so there is no reason to be hostile."

Lev then laughs as he says, "I see such camaraderie and trust is important after all! I think you three will get along just fine." I then grimace and say, "If you like them both, I do not believe the director will like them, and may I recommend we all hide in the restroom to avoid orientation as a form of a boycott?"

Lev then shakes his head and says, "In all honesty, Mash, that will only make the situation worse and the Director more upset. We'll have to leave such things to fate, but for now, we shall have to jump into the lion's den. But, I believe all three of you should be able to get used to the Director's eccentricities, and deep down, she is a lovely person."

Ozias Senpai then says, "You seem to know the Director decently well. Are you two acquainted, perhaps?" Lev nods and says, "Yes, the director and I went a couple of years back as the poor girl had to take over this project from her deceased father, and based on conflicting reports, he committed suicide and left the project to her it was a dark time indeed she needed a shoulder, and I offered."

Ozias Senpai then sighs and says, "Yes, it is always nice to have a shoulder to rely on in our darkest hour, and who knows, as we get to know one another, maybe we shall all learn to trust in our own darkest hours."

We all nod our heads as Ritsuka says," Hey, enough of the depressing stuff we're about to join the other Masters. This is an exciting moment!" Lev then smiles and says, "Yes, a moment to be remembered indeed."

But as we walk towards the orientation room, Ritsuka Senpai begins to slow down again as Ozias Senpai whispers, "Come on, Ritsuka San, you have to stay up. We're almost there."

She nods lightly and begins to walk again as we arrive at the orientation room and see the globe of Chaldeas. I showed them to their seats and headed to the corner of the room.

As Director Olga Marie Animusphere begins her speech, Ritsuka Senpai falls asleep again, and before Ozias Senpai can wake her up.

*Slap!*

The Director then slaps the girl, which wakes her up, and the Director begins her speech.

"Not quite on time and with not everyone awake, but it looks like everybody's here. Welcome to the special organization, Chaldea. I'm the Director Olga Marie Animusphere. You have been selected or discovered from each nation for your rare talents. By talent, I mean your aptitude for spiritrons, people with magical circuits capable of becoming Masters. It is in this organization you all will be reborn as not only cutting-edge Mages but pioneers of entirely new technology. But here's the thing: since all of you have special talents, none of you are special, and at the current moment, all of you are but inexperienced rookies starting at the same point as everyone else. As I look at everyone in this room, I see you all acting similarly to students from the association that ends now, as from here on out, this organization is my domain. Your family heritage and your achievements mean nothing in these halls, and always remember in these halls, my orders are absolute. At this point in time, all of you are but tools to defend Humanity."

With that being said, some of the other Mages start to become a bit rowdy as I do not believe insulting their family heritages and telling them their achievements are nothing is a great way to inspire confidence, but I am not the Director.

"Hey, I didn't sign up for this. We're experts who were summoned here because of our skills. We came all of this way on your insistence! Absolute obedience? That's ridiculous!"

Another says, "She's right, you're overstepping. Lineage is the most important aspect of being a mage. How can you simply brush all of it off? This is an outrage, Lady Animusphere?!"

The Director then interrupts them quite loudly, "Quiet! All of you! This is what I mean when I said you are still acting like students! I'm only telling you how this is going to go. if you do not like it, leave at once!" Olga then smiles and says doubtfully, "Though if you're prepared to Trek down a Snowy Mountain 6000 m above sea level, that would be commendable."

She waits for a minute before continuing, "No one's dropped out. Good, seriously, do not waste my time on petty drivel, as I simply wish to help you all realize how dire our no entirety of Humanity's situation is at this current moment. I hope you all will listen now."

The Director then continues her speech on what the organization is meant to do and to put it simply, the organization known as Chaldea is meant to keep Humanity's timeline on track via observing different points in time, and through our study, we cannot only see the past but the future as well.

But after that remark, it seems Ritsuka Senpai fell asleep again, and Ozias Senpai asks, "Lady Animusphere, I apologize for the rude interruption, but it seems my fellow candidate is having a bad reaction to the simulation. May I take her to the Infirmary?"

Olga then scoffs and says dismissively, "Take her and go, and no, I will not be repeating this to her, and it will be your responsibility to explain what I've already stated."

Ozias Senpai then does a slight bow, grabs Ritsuka Senpai by the shoulder, and takes her out of the orientation room and to the Infirmary. I hope that the delusional girl is okay as well. She seems a bit odd; none of her antics seem annoying.

Little did I know that his taking her out of the room would change everything.

( Okay, my readers, the first Singularity will begin in the next chapter, and I hope I have been able to accurately represent each character's individual dialogue decently well. While I'm excited to write on this Arc, I also dread making any mistakes, so I hope you all will stick with me as we venture into the unknown.)
