Chapter 11

Crown Prince Wade von Weiz won't take rejection lightly.

Lia could never say no to people, and she was also worried that upsetting the Prince might have serious consequences for her father. After much consideration, she decided to accept Wade's invitation.

When they stepped outside the tailor's studio, there were two horses waiting for them.

"I will take Lius," said Claude.

Lia was looking at the two horses in bewilderment when Claude lifted her onto his horse, black as obsidian. She scrambled to position herself on the saddle; she was thankful that the marquis had taught her how to ride.

Wrapping his arms around her waist, Claude furrowed his eyebrows.

"I was going to take Camellius, Claude," said Wade. "Are you really going to take that away from me?"

Looking up at Lia wrapped in Claude's arms, he got on his horse, grumbling all the while.

"I'm a better rider than you, Your Highness. It's for everyone's safety that I take him."
