Slowly, the young man beside her got up and walked to her side. Watching her sleeping face, he sat beside her and arranged the falling hair at the side of her face.

"I finally found you, it has been so long since I last saw you. This time around I will make sure that no one will harm you and I will make sure to kill those bastards who harmed you before." he whispered.

He slowly moved his face near her and kissed her lips. For a moment, all his sadness, emptiness faded away.

'I will never let anyone harm you this time. I will protect you Layla.'

A man wearing black suddenly appeared not too far away from them kneeling.

"Your highness." he spoke.

Mikael got up, he casted a spell so Lila will not be woken up from her sleep.

He went to the man's side, "Have you killed them all?" he said.

The man nodded and answered, "Yes, your highness, even the man who almost killed his highness I was able to dispose of him. Please punish this incompetent subordinate for not able to protect your highness." he respectfully said.

"Is there anyone who knows my current appearance as of now?" he asked.

"No your highness, I was able to kill him as soon as possible and he was not able to pass any information to anyone." he answered.

"Good. Let the others know to keep observing the Prime Minister and the Imperial concubine's actions. I know that they were the ones who ordered to ambush me outside the palace. As for you…" he then gets a scroll on his spatial ring.

"I want you to get all of the information about this young maiden, give me the report as soon as possible." he ordered.

The man accepted the scroll and kept it, "It will be done as his highness wishes but…... what about you?"

"You don't have to worry about me as I can handle myself. Once I get what I needed, I'll be back at the palace."

The scroll in the butler's hand was the paint of a woman who looks very similar to Lila. He painted it as soon as he was able to paint.

He never let anyone see that painting as he only took it out whenever he's alone and when he misses the woman.

The man nodded and then vanished, Mikael returned to Lila's side. He lied down, facing Lila and wrapped his one hand on to her waist.

"This will be our first time sleeping together again after a thousand years, my love." he smiled sweetly and kissed the tip of her nose then fell asleep.

Lila felt that she slept soundly for the first time after she came into this realm, she also had a very nice dream that she's with the strange Prince and he kissed her.

Opening her eyes she saw another almond eye looking back at her. Their faces were so near, just inches away from each other. She blinked twice to process what she saw and when she realized that it's the young man, she got up.

"Hey! What are you doing man?! Doing something like that will give me a heart attack!"

Mikael just teasingly laughed and said, "You look so pretty when you were sleeping that's why I want to take a closer look.You were also pouting your lips, I guess you want me to kiss you?"

"That's so gay dude!" she exclaimed and glared at the young man.

Whatever nice dream that she had, it was totally ruined by this man beside her. She cleaned up the place where she slept, washed her face and mouth. She then walked out and left the young man behind.

The man just smiled and happily followed her from behind.

Lila can't help but be bothered by this man's actions, he looked at her with happiness and somewhat longing gaze in his eyes. She really can't read what's on his mind.

'What is he up to this time? He is so weird.'

The young man just silently walked alongside with her, keeping a close distance like they were close buddies. Lila can't concentrate because she can feel that he keeps on looking at her with a creepy smile.

She doesn't know that the young man beside her is just having the best day of his life. He can't help but feel so happy that she's walking beside him.

If only he could hold her hands while walking he already did that. There's a lot of things that he wanted to talk about with her but it was not the right time yet.

That's the reason why there's a smile on his face even if he suppressed it and Lila was viewed as creepy.

Lila was not able to watch her steps when she almost slipped.

He noticed it and held her waist quickly to help her maintain her balance.

He was like a prince holding a princess, she's now going insane to know what's going on in his mind right now.

'Is this guy bisexual?' she thought. Having this young man beside her makes her mind go wild.

"Be careful, it's slippery down here." he kindly said.

"..."

They really looked like lovers on a telenovela who's intimate with each other, however, if someone found them in that situation. They can view them as two guys being cheesy with each other.

Lila composed herself and just walked away from him, she's having goosebumps already. She really felt that this guy was so strange.

'Did he saw me last night? No, that's really impossible. You're just being crazy Lila.' she told herself.

Or maybe he prefers men than girls. Yikes!'
