Defeated

Lila gulped secretly as she kept her cool in front of this intruder, she totally forgot about this young man she met in the forest.

"How can you be sure that I am the Lel you're talking about?" she asked calmly.

Mikael brow raised as he kept his smile. He straightened his body while thinking, 'Clever, very clever. Let's see how far you can deny it.' he smiled evilly.

"He just called you Lel and I just inquired from the Innkeeper about your whereabouts and it leads me here."

"And who is Lel? That's not enough for you to say that I am that young man you are referring to. And how dare you barge in without authorization. That's trespassing!"

There's a minute of silence after she says the last word.

"Um… What's trespassing?" Magus can't help but drop the question.

Lila: "..."

"Whatever, it is not right for you to come inside the house without permission. You know that I am General Kadi's only daughter, The Tyrant! I can order someone to kill you right now." Lila roared.

She really doesn't want this shameless man to recognize her as Lel. Though she knew that she can't win if she uses her strength and she ain't quite sure if she can shake this man off.

That's the reason why she used her title right now as the Ice-cold queen or the tyrant. If this young man had heard about her title, he would be scared and back off.

Her life was so peaceful after they separated and she thought that she would never meet this young man again. Who knew that this man just came right on her door and showed up in an unexpected way.

She's confident that with her capability she can read other people's inner negative/bad thoughts, especially right now that her strength has increased.

She can read other people's inner thoughts if he/she is thinking about her or talking about her secretly within 10 mile radius.

But with this man, she can't really read him at all. Not even his thoughts, it was like that when she tried to use her capability with him it's blank.

"Haha. How can I be wrong? I already asked the broker whom you rented this house and he showed that it was rented under Lel Shingha's name.

It says that it was rented by two young men but here you are playing house with a random guy. Does General Kadi know about it? Now tell me, where's Lel and how are you related to him?"

"I...I" Lila was stunned but she racked her brain for excuses.

"Hmmp! What it's got to do with you? Magus is my friend and my guard. The information you got is incorrect, I rented this place and I don't know any Lel Shingha!"

Magus was tongue tied with what is happening right now. After the man said his second sentence when he declared Lila's other identity, Lila stood up to deny his claim and was so committed to denying her other identity.

'Does Lel know this person?"

He only watches back and forth from Lila and to the intruder.

"Really now?" Mikael put his right hand on his back and pointed to the dish Lila cooked with his left hand, like an investigator who's questioning a suspect.

"How can you explain where you get the One-horned demon bear beast meat that you cook just now?"

Mikael questioned as there was a smugness on his face.

"After we separated and I got back here in the Capital, I never heard him selling the beast's parts or meat.

Only me and him know the beast's existence. Can you give me a proper explanation? Hmmm?"

Lila crossed her arms as she scoffed.

"How do you know that it's a One-Horned Demon Bear beast meat? Do you have a proof?"

Lila was still holding on even though she knows that this young man is smart.

Mikael smirks as he glances at Magus. "Come here." he called.

Magus was still not understanding as to why they are debating about her identity but knowing that this man was so powerful. He didn't hesitate to walk forward even though he had minor injury.

Didn't know when Mikael did it but he's now holding a spoon of the dish Lila cooked without touching the food she served.

"I'm sure that you're aware that the meat of One-Horned Demon Bear beast was called superb meat because of its characteristics right?

I won't give you a chance to deny it. The reason why it's called Superb meat is because of  its wondrous effects. It is not only helping the one who eats it to strengthen their defensive cultivation technique but also it has a magical effect that heals the cultivator's minor body injury with just eating its meat."

He then looked back at Magus and handed the spoon.

"Here, try it."

Magus eats the dish that was handed to him. It was a little sweet, spicy, and had different flavors. The meat was also tender, easily chewed and melted in his mouth when he ate it. It was so delicious that he swears that he can eat hundreds of bowls with this dish.

He enjoyed it a lot and craved for more when suddenly, he felt changes in his body. He doesn't feel the pain anymore and he's no longer pale.

"Amazing!" he can't help but exclaim.

Mikael just gazed at Lila with a proud look on his face like he's telling her: See? Told you, you can't lie to me.

Lila's rebuttal was stumped in her throat, she can no longer provide any explanation about it.

'Damn it! For all the time that this guy appears, he appears just when I cook this?'

Lila can't help but feel defeated. She can no longer deny in front of this man, it seems like her identity as the tyrant was not enough to shoot him.

"Fine! You win! Happy now?" Lila admitted.

"Haha. Of course I'm happy! I got to finally see you after so many days."

Mikael's identity suddenly changes from intruder to a friend. Magus can no longer process in his mind what's really going on.

Mikael unexpectedly hugged her when she let her guard down. Lila was surprised at what he did and tried to shake him off but Mikael took the chance to sneakily get close to her and took a quick sniff on her sweet enchanting fragrance.

Mikael never viewed her as a 14 year old girl, what he only sees is that she is the Layla he longed for. Though he wanted to do more than just a hug, he also knows how to limit himself.

Even if Layla's soul was already more than a thousand years old (a/n: well, technically, if we base it on Lila's age she's aware of. That's 24 years old, still older by a few years. x-D) but everyone viewed her right now as a 14 year old girl. 

If only given a chance he would like to abduct her and bring her to a faraway place so they can live peacefully together.

With his willful and wayward personality, he can do things he wanted to but there are things that restricted him to do so with this new life. Romance can wait as he knows he can make this young lady fall for her but not right now.

He will take the chance to be with her sometimes and silently protect her but he will not forget the things he had to do first before they can finally live happily together forever.
