Chapter 2 The Strange Man

Despite assuring Stacy... Magdalene could not help but remember the good moments with Dean.

She could still remember the first time they met...

It was raining heavily that afternoon, she was watching the weather closely so that she would rush home when the rain reduced. Being a wrestling fan, she made sure that she doesn't miss any match and now the rain delayed her.

Few minutes later,after the rain gradually reduced she reached for her umbrella and dashed outside.

After walking a few minutes, she was finally a few blocks away from home but, what she did not realize was that a car was approaching her with full speed as she was about to cross the road.

Just about that moment, a pair of strong arms pulled her out of the road into safety.

As she stood in shock to what had just happened; she stared at the strangers deep blue eyes for a few seconds, inhaling his masculine scent while admiring his well sculpted face before reality finally dawned on her,as she realized that she was still in the arms of a strange man in the middle of the road!

She quickly pushed the man aside looking furiously and asked him," how dare you touch me"?

The stranger looked at her as a smirk appeared on his face, then a smile that did not last long appeared at the corner of his lips. He gave Magdalene a furious look apparently he was angry at her reaction.

His gaze on her was like sizing her entire body,as it sent shivers down her spine. A part of her wanted to apologise and walk away, while the stubborn part of her wanted the stranger to apologise for touching her precious waist.

Am waiting", she said with all the confidence she could summon.

Waiting for what?

...am guessing to get ran over by a car. Even though he was angry he couldn't get himself to yell at the little woman standing in front of him.

For some weird reasons his coldness disappeared while staring at her.

What do you mean by that. What surprised her the most was the reaction she got from the stranger; he just kept Smiling at her and finally he laughed.

Although his laughter was beautiful it annoyed Magdalene a lot.

"What are you laughing at? Huh, tell me what's so funny?

He cut her in at the middle of her sentence...

"a car almost ran over you and i pulled you into my arms where it is safe. I understand that you are not comfortable in my arms, but will you rather be comfy on the floor probably covered in blood"?

At first Magdalene wanted to apologise, but after hearing the latter of his sentence, she wanted to hit him hard.

Such a weirdo she cursed silently.

She quickly got her thoughts together and told him," there are a lot of ways to tell me that you saved my life than rubbing it all over my face".
