Chapter 10 Expecting Mrs Dean King

Everything went smoothly according to plan until it was time to sign their signatures. Dean signed on his part while everyone waited for Magdalene to sign; she was developing cold feet.

"Um, madam you will have to sign here and here".

"O-okay ", she said nervously.

After seconds of waiting, every was starting to get nervous at Magdalene's actions. What was she even doing? Dean just hoped she wasn't backing out, she had an important role to play as his wife, and he had already informed his family that he would be returning home with his wife. His family was relieved that he was not gay and they were expecting Mrs Dean King.

The news had already been announced to the board of directors who were already planning on Dean's replacement. The next in line was his cousin Alex; these two were really close and always competed with each other.

"What is she planning to do? Embarrassing both me and herself". Dean tapped her on the shoulder and she just said she needed a moment, but her moment was taking long and making people murmur.

Dean being out of choices bent over towards her chin and kissed her.

Magdalene blushed out of embarrassment and quickly took the pen to sign the documents, now they were legally married. She was offended and felt robbed as images of Dean stealing a kiss came flashing back.

How could he do such a thing to me? How dare he? I will definitely get back at him. She was blushing with anger.

With all the momentum she could gather in her right leg, she stomped on his feet real hard. Dean groaned out in pain.

"Why would you do that? It really hurts.

"Why did you kiss me in public? Replying him back with a question.

What was i supposed to do? You were spacing out and i thought you were going to leave me here.

The people around them mistook their fight as a cute couple fight. "Awwwwn! Aren't they so cute? A lot of murmurs were heard as well as so many smiles on their faces were visible.

An old lady also commented,"these two would make a really good romantic drama and not all the nonsense we watch on tv". A loud roar of laughter was heard throughout the hall. Magdalene after hearing all their comments blushed out of embarrassment the more.

Now what am i supposed to do now? I must admit he is really good with words. Just a few words from him and the entire audience is going bananas!

I give up, am not going to cause another fake romantic scene! I can't just wait for these 6 months to be over, so that i can finally have my peace.

Dean kept on smiling which made Magdalene feel even more offended, how could he be enjoying every moment of this embarrassment?

Before leaving, an old couple approached them to bless them. After the blessings,they told them," make sure you always treat each other well and always trust each other as you trust yourself.

"We have been married for 45 years now and we were together all these while because we communicate well. Make sure you do that, alright? Then they left.

Donald came in shortly indicating that it was time to leave. They left for Magdalene to get her things from her place.

As soon as she got into the building she looked around to make sure nobody was watching her. She then reached for the keys out of her bag and opened the door. As soon as she got in she shut it and grabbed a few of her clothes, then she left.

Donald came out to help her with her suitcase as she got back into the car. He brought them to the fashion house to get dressed." Lana and her crew are waiting for you", Dean said.

"Tsk such a rude man. Why does he always behave so indifferent all the time?

Alright, but what am i going to wear under such short notice?

In an indifferent voice he replied her back. Leave that to the designer he will come around to take your measurements.

Then he turned to the makeup artist..."make it light.

His voice was so cold and harsh that the artist was in shock so she managed to give a slight smile.

"Alright Sir, as you wish" .

Magdalene was still shocked as to how much people fear Dean." Was he really that powerful?
