Round 2

After a little over 10 minutes of waiting another person appeared in the arena in front of Lucian.

It was a girl that like a little older than Lucian was she had dark brown hair and bright green eyes and her clothes were tattered while some cuts could be seen across her skin from her last match.

As soon as the girl appeared a light enveloped the arena blinding the girl and Lucian briefly.

As the light faded Lucian noticed how he felt rejuvenated and ready to take on the world, he also noticed all the girls injuries had also been healed and she looked to recover to her prime.

'Lucian vs. Tiana round 2, the winner will have sit out of round 3 and be advanced directly to round 4. You may begin round 2.' The automated voice sounded.

As soon as the voice finished the girl faded from Lucian's sight like and illusion of an oasis.

After she faded from his vision Lucian decided to stand still to wait on the girls first move. Lucian didn't have to wait long before he noticed nearly 10 arrows of light coming directly towards him.

He quickly began to move but to no avail, the arrows were targeting him and locked on. The followed him like missiles as he bobbed and weaved around the arena dodging the arrows by the width of a hair just to make the crash into the ground or each other.

As he was dodging the arrows his mind was working on how he could find his opponent and form a counter.

Just as he was thinking he felt a large energy fluctuation behind him. The girl was using a channeled skill and had just reached her apex as she materialized about 100yds behind where Lucian currently was.

"F***" Lucian said as he flipped backwards avoiding the fourth arrow while twisting his body in the air to face the female youth. While the other 6 arrows were following quickly behind him.

The girl stood about 5yds in the air as she held one had forward and pulled the other back as if she was docking a bow.

When she opened her hand that was pulled back Lucian's eyes widened at what he saw.

If it were real arrows the sky would have turned dark but they were all brilliantly brilliant as it looked like she fired a tidal wave of light with one shot.

Lucian was dazed for a moment having never witnessed any chanelled skill on this scale.

He shook his head jumping quickly to the side narrowly dodging an arrow set to pierce his back with the others quickly in tow.

The bottom of Lucian's feet began to glow with black light as his speed became more than double what it was a moment ago as he left the homing arrows as if they were stationary.

As he rushed the tsunami of light his entire body became enveloped in the black light turning him into a sort of dark glowing sillohuette as he speed was further amplified.

Lucian looked like a dark comet flying across the white arena with a giant wave of light arrows between him and Tiana.

Once Lucian was fully covered with the dark light, he was about 30yds in front of the wave of arrows all coming directly towards him.

He pulled out his chain schythe that hard also been covered in the dark light and began to block the first few arrows while narrowly dodging others as some slipped past his defenses cutting his skin and piercing his body leaving stab wounds before they dissipated.

Lucian continued working his way through the wave of arrows with his teeth gritting as he fought the pain and pushed his speed to its absolute limits.

Finally he had made it through the front portion of the wave unfruitfuly as he began to realize that every single one of these arrows was also a homing arrow ass he was now in a cage of arrows coming directly towards him.

Seeing this Lucian's face became dark and serious. "Stand still," Lucian spoke and for a brief instant each arrow froze in place while the blood seemed to drain from Lucian's face.

Lucian pushed himself as he burst through the other side of the cage of arrows arriving directly in front of Tiana.

To his surprise she was already kneeling on the ground completly spent.

"Hehe, I knew you'd win I just wanted to see if maybe I'd get lucky, I surrender." Tiana said through labored breaths before she completly collapsed and disappeared from the arena.

'Holy… she was d rank using a high c rank skill, this family is insane, and dad thinks ill place top 10' Lucian thought to himself thinking how close of a match it had been.

He was completly spent his skill 'stand still' was a skill that briefly absorbed some of the light that something held within itself or reflected.

In absorbing this small ammount of light he was able to turbocharge his speed and power for an instant, the only thing was it had massive energy requirements.

Lucian had created this move himself once he achieved c rank, he was inspired to create this skill from one of the light family battle skill books.

The Light family primarily focused on light based skills as the entire bloodline was endowed with an innate light affinity.

The skill the Lucian drew inspiration from was a battle skill meant to be used by multiple people with light affinities to Chanel their light energy into one member for a single all out attack.

Lucian took the basis for this skill and its skeleton in a reverse process so he could instead draw out the existing light energy that existed within people's skills or the reflections of light that exist within the atmosphere.

'What skill was that, it looked like he paused the arrows I thought he was done for sure this time." One person in the crowd asked as they watched the screen displaying Lucian's match as the wild uproar of the crowd multiplied and the buzz about Lucian began to grow.
