37 Dead Ends

The next two days passed without much incident. 

Zero and Gwyn continued to explore Haven Falls to try to uncover something, anything at this point, about the Viper Gang. However it seemed that whatever the Vipers did to get control of this town had done its damage. No one was willing to share anything they knew.

Not to mention Kai had still not come back. 

A few other players had trickled into town in hopes of visiting the great forge that Haven Falls was known for. Zero and Gwyn didn't see them a second time.

In the short time they spent together Zero realized one thing about Gwyn: she can be a prick, but she's an honest prick. She never minced her words around him and she always said her true feelings about something - which was usually negative in some fashion.

"Damn it." She groaned as they finished another fruitless exploration. "I didn't sign up for all this detective work. Get stronger, kill enemies. That's what I signed up for."
