48 Battle For the Forge, Part 1

"I thought you finished her??" Kai said in surprise.

"I never said that." Zero responded. 

Gwyn carefully moved closer to them as she steadied her breath. The Master Smith backed away from Zero and Kai toward the wall behind them.

She figured out how to get rid of the starvation, Zero thought. But...

Kai raised an eyebrow as he activated his energy vision. "Her energy, it's definitely not as strong as it usually is. Whatever you did, she's still suffering from it. We can quickly get rid of her, break this ice, and get out of here before Silas-"

"He's already on the way!" Gwyn shouted with a smirk on her face. "You think you're clever Kai? Get over yourself - ever since I found out you were a Viper, I told Silas that you might be up to something. Glad to know I was right." Her eyes then fell on Zero and her face suddenly soured. "But I'm going to get rid of you first.
