59 59. Confusing.

The same day I had gotten my new template cards a little while later Hephaestus came calling. Probably to confirm that I had indeed healed the curse on her.

Heading out with Demeter we met the red head in the guest room who was still wearing an eyepatch over her left eye for some reason. Ah well not really my business.

"Hello Heph....mmph!?" I was a bit stunned when I was tackled and felt a pair of lips on my own and a tongue snake it's way into my mouth.

"Oh my." Demeter says from the side.

My hand whipped out and slapped the leather clad ass of Hephaestus.

"Ahn!" She moaned sitting up with a red face and looking at me demurely.

"Mind explaining?" I ask the goddess.

"You healed my eye." She says taking off the eyepatch and showing a perfectly normal matching red eye to her other one.

"Yes, I sealed and removed the curse from your eye with my magic." I admit as even Demeter looks shocked. I also look at Yojimbo who was supposed to be guarding me today who shrugged.

"You looked like you were enjoying it, besides every king needs queens, concubines and consorts. A goddess is a good start." She says lazily resting her hand on her katana.

"King?" Demeter, Hephaestus and Tsubaki all ask at the same time.

"What else would you call someone with knights and his own kingdom?" Yojimbo asks plainly.

"Being awfully chatty today arent ya?" I ask the knight with a passive look.

"I don't see why you need to hide the fact you are a king. You aren't afraid of troubles and we are strong enough to protect you." Yojimbo states.

"Taxes, I'm avoiding taxes from the guild. Probably try to tax me for selling monster cores or buying stuff even more than normal." I tell the knight.

"Ah, to save money! A noble cause indeed." Yojimbo turns towards the others in the room. "Forget what I said before, twas only a joke. He is simply a humble man of poor origin."

Like they would believe that now.

"You're a king?" Tsubaki asks.

"Absolutely not." I deny

"That's a lie." Both goddesses speak up at once.

"Are you with the government? If so you'll never get anything out if me coppers!" I cry out.

"Are you done messing around my king?" Yojimbo asks.

"Yeah, I'm done. Anyway yeah I cured your eye." I tell the red head who was still sitting on my waist.

"I wish to attempt a romantic relationship with you." Hephaestus says with a serious look.

"Good job my king that makes 4 chasing after you." Yojimbo says.

"Shush you. And why do you wish to have a romantic relationship with me?" I ask the red head.

"I made an oath to myself once I regained my purity that I would only involve myself with a man who could cure my eye and outsmith me. You are that man." Hephaestus says with a smile.

"I haven't smithed anything." I point out.

"You created those armor and helped me on my path to being a better blacksmith, therefore you have outsmithed me." Hephaestus denies.

"I figured smithing would involve me making a sword or something. Anyway, you shouldn't just try to jump into a relationship with someone you just met or fulfilled some requirement. That's not a good way to find happiness. You should look for someone who makes you heart throb and interests you and has things in common with you that you get along with." I point out.

"But you do all those things? Don't you also have an interest in smithing?" She asks.

"Well yes but..."

She pushed my hand onto her breast and I feel a wild thumping heartbeat. "You do make my heart beat, you are quite handsome."

Ah, bouncy..

"Man, I haven't even started more than a flirty relationship with my own goddess." This causes her to freeze for a second.

"I will speak with Hel and see if we can come to some kind of agreement." Hephaestus says with fiery eyes.

"Your funeral I suppose, also Yojimbo will go with you and explain her part in this mess to Hel." I tell the knight who shivers a bit.

"Can I not?"

"Better you than me." I throw the knight under the bus immediately.

Of course I wasn't dense to the affection of both Lili and Hel, however one was too young and the other was a complete noob at any kind of romance and fled in panic anytime I tried to flirt.

Still the affection was there and I made sure to spend time with them. Besides it's not all about exploring the dungeon or fixing up the kingdom. It's a new life for me, I plan to enjoy it. My money situation is solved, I have armor and weapons, I have some power with myself and the knights. Should anything unprecedented happen I am kind of prepared. If not worst case scenario I can flee and hide.

Opening a portal we all head inside of the kingdom where Tsubaki and Hephaestus look in awe at the Balamb Garden and Alexander.

I lead them over to a confused Hel. "Hephaestus and Yojimbo have some things to discuss with you." I tell her with a small smile before sitting down to continue reading my book.

The conversation seems to start off badly judging by the shouting I hear and tune out. Lili seems to have snuck over to listen in.

I hear a crisp slapping noise as Hel slaps Hephaestus with an angry look before the conversation seems to simmer down a bit and more looks are directed at me with some pointing.

After a couple of minutes Hel stormed over with a serious look on her face grabbed my shirt and gave me a fierce kiss that was a little inexperienced but I helped her along.

A couple second later she pulled back quite red in the face. "I don't care if you have other women but I will be your main wife." She says in a cute yet fierce way.

"Uhh sure." I nod before she turns atomic red, makes some cute noises and scurries away in embarrassment.

I turn to Hephaestus who had walked over with a red hand print on her cheek and give her a curios raised eyebrow.

"She was more angry that I had taken your first kiss." Hephaestus admits sheepishly.

"I see."
