14 14. Hunting.

Everytime I killed a goblin, I could feel a small bit of warmth enter my body, this was probably the whole excellia thing. There wasn't any change in my body from the warmth however I just noticed it was there.

"Slow!" My hand aims at the dog like creature which starts to move in slow motion. The broad sword in my hand snakes out cutting into the open mouth and taking its head off in a splash of blood.

"Fire!" My other hand aims at the second Kobold who gets hit in the chest with a red hot flame. A second later it falls to the ground with smouldering embers instead of a front.

"Crispy." I mutter whipping out the dagger from my waist and beginning to cut out the magic stones and tucking them into my bag.

"Reminder for next time, get magic that doesn't crispy my opponents, stinks way too much." I wrinkle my nose at the smell. The smell of burnt monster flesh is rather unpleasant and I'll seriously have to bathe after this. The cloak snakes around to cover my nose and provide some protection from the smell.

Anyway the monsters on the second floor aren't really a challenge, a single normal thunder or fire ends them all the same, and if I add slow they don't even get to fight back.

But the good part is they usually show up in groups of 3 and much more often than on the first floor.

Only takes me a couple minutes to find another group. "Thunder, Thunder, Thunder!" and pick them off in seconds with lightning magic. It takes more time to dig out the magic crystals than to kill them. "Ugh, I should get some gloves." I wipe the dead kobold ash off on my pants with a frown.

Having a gun would speed up this mob trash killing by so much. I'll really have to get to making bullets soon.

I run around the dungeon for the next few hours absolutely slaughtering trash tier mobs and having fun exploding things with magic. It's actually pretty stress relieving to blow up an ugly green goblin.

I keep going until my bag and pouches are full.

"Well then, let's see how this works." I focus for a second before. "Teleport!" *Zzzziiiippp pop!*

My body whips through some darkness and I find myself back in my bedroom at Hel's. "Hel I'm back!" I shout.

I hear a rush of footsteps and then a knock on my door. "You can come in."

She steps in and wrinkles her nose. "You stink."

"I know, fire and dungeon monsters don't mix." I admit with a wry smile.

I toss the cloak towards the closet luckily it doesn't stink as it can somehow eliminate odors. But the rest of my clothes can't. The cloak latches onto the hanger and becomes still.

I take off the stuffed backpack and pouches and set them on the floor and take off my broadsword for cleaning later.

"I'll take a quick shower and then head to the guild to sell my loot." I tell Hel and grab some fresh clothes.

Well good news is that i can teleport out of the dungeon which is sweet, even if it feels odd.

"I'll show you to the bathroom." Hel says before leading me to a simple looking bathroom with a large wooden tub.

"Would you like me to heat up the water?" She asks.

"Nah I can do it with fire magic." i tell her as i start filling the large tub. I put my hand in the water and cast fire and the water quickly starts to heat up.

"That's so convenient." Hel says with a jealous look.

"Well once I can produce fire materia I'll let you have one." materia production was such a nice thing to have. I could probably sell materia in the future, plus materia could be used for other things. "So are you going to stand there and watch me bathe or wash my back?" I ask with a raised eyebrow.

Hel immediately turns tomato red and flees the room. "Uwaaa it's too early! My heart isn't ready!"

Shaking my head I just take off my clothes and hop into the bath and start cleaning off the grime on my body. Luckily they still had some soaps in this world so they weren't complete savages.

Quick bath and I'm fresh as new. I'll have to wash my clothes later.

Heading back to my room I toss my dirty clothes into a pile and grab my bag and pouches along with my cloak.

"Alright I'm going to go and sell my magic stones." I tell Hel who is in the living room with a red face still.

"G-Go on then." She says raising her book to hide her face but I can still see her bright red ears.

Chuckling I head out the door and head off towards the guild.

Once there I meet up with Rose and empty out my bags.

"You went to the second floor?" She asks seeing the slightly larger magic crystals.

"Yeah, the gaurds seemed to have cleared out most of the first floor so I couldn't find any goblins to kill." I tell her truthfully.

"Did you have any problems with the kobolds?" She asks counting out the magic stones.

"No, they were just slightly faster than goblins, and I didn't have any problem killing them. They have a bad habit of opening their mouths to try to bite people. Perfect time to stab them with a sword. I can confirm they cannot bit through steel." I verify with her.

"Of course I'll make sure to write down that valuable piece of information." She says sarcastically. "You've got 6 floor 1 magic crystals and 137 floor 2 magic crystals. You killed quite a few things today. Total comes up to 15,670 valis." got me an increase of 10 valis for second floor magic crystals nice.

I pocket the funds with a happy smile on my face.

"Level 1s don't kill that fast or that much, they might get 20 for a full days work with a 3 man team. Your a freak." Rose says with a frown.

"How rude, no wonder your still single." I stick my tongue out at the woman.

Her hair bristles up at the slight and I flee with a cackle and pouch ful of cash.
