Train at the Tower, Cult Runs Rampant

At the top of the tower, a boy with a zipped up jacket stood with a girl in a black skirt beside her. In front of them was an old man with a dark expression on his face and beside him was a small girl with blonde hair.

"...I was forced to kill him to escape."

When Sicarius and Princess arrived at the old man's residence the first thing the old man did upon sight was look at Princess with apprehensive eyes. Sicarius knew that with the old man's all seeing eyes he could see the dark horrid aura that the girl emanated, and he was sure that the old man could see much more.

The old man asked where the girl came from, and Sicarius could only say the truth, albeit a relative truth.

An underground structure underneath the orphanage. A place where cultist would take kids and force Sin upon their system. Sicarius having been abducted and having been forced to kill to escape. By the time Sicarius finished speaking Omni was visibly vengeful.

"You've done well, boy." The old man said as he proceeded to float into the air, seemingly in a rush to go to the orphanage,"Bring the girl to Synthia and you may rest."

"Mentor wait." Sicarius said, "I want this girl to be my ally in combat, I request that you take her as a disciple."

The old man stopped ascending, visibly annoyed but considering that Sicarius had saved the girl and had just survived another encounter with death, he was lenient. He looked at the girl and then back to Sicarius, "Why would I boy?"

Sicarius motioned to Princess with his hand and the girl proceeded to show the old man an evil aura that leaked out of her, turning into a shining sharp blade.

"She has nowhere to go mentor, and given that she is exceptionally talented in combat and has awakened her abilities at this age, I know you, mentor, will be able to teach her as you have teached me." Sicarius said as Princess sparred with the air, showing off her capable combat prowess.

Venus eyed Princess as if she was competition. The old man's eyes seemed to observe Princess before he nodded.

"You make a good point boy, I'll train her alongside you as my disciple." He said, "But for now, stay here. That orphanage is our top priority right now."

The moment he said that he turned to look at Princess, and so did Sicarius. Sicarius was sensitive to being observed, especially by psychics. Princess wasn't a psychic as far as he knew, that only meant that it was someone else.

The old man glared at her and spoke, "Look what we have here? What are you doing weaving threads on a little girl, Soul Weaver?" Omni asked his eyes flashing with hate, "You make me sick."

The old man raised his hand slowly. His hand was an open palm that suddenly closed into a fist. Sicarius couldn't observe the happenings, but he knew the moment when Weaver left Princess's body. Sicarius's gaze grew serious, it seemed that this Weaver was stronger than he thought. He had no understanding of Weaver's powers but if he could possess anyone just like that then his threat was to be cautiously handled.

"Watch the girl Carius. He severed his own thread that he had on her in a rush, and she might lose feeling of her own perceptions for a while." The old man said as he wasted no more time and flew away.

Sicarius merely nodded. Now that he had Princess, all he had to do was remain in the tower until he could defend himself. Whatever happens outside the tower, was the responsibility of the police and those of higher status such as the founder. As of now, he wasn't strong to defend against the attempts of the Cult of Sin to take back their weapon or any other possible random threat.

It was time to train once again.

"Fight me!" Venus exclaimed to Princess who was confused why the old man and Sicarius looked at her as if she was an enemy.

Sicarius felt that it would be a challenge to get his two weapons to work together.

*****

"You're already here, vice commander," Hanzel said as he arrived at the orphanage, atleast, what remained of it. What used to be an orphanage was nothing but ruins painted in red. Beneath the visible piles of rubble were only pools of blood, even some veterans felt their stomachs churn at the sight.

"Yes commander," Jason gave the commander a nod, "I was rather close to the place when I received the call."

"What happened here?" Hanzel asked,

Jason's eyes turned serious as he gazed upon the ruins. He sighed in frustration before he spoke, "Witnesses said a blood wave came out of nowhere, destroying everything it touched, then just as fast as it came it disappeared."

Hanzel felt his headache. He was merely status 1, even he couldn't do such a feat of destroying such a large structure. If the journalist found out how useless the police were at this time he could only imagine the problems that will follow.

"Back away! Back away people!" The officers behind him struggled to hold off noisy civilians, and pesky journalists. With most officers not being powered and losing their weapons, it seemed as if their authority dwindled.

Hanzel would have been happy to entertain them back then, but this time it was serious business. Anything related to the Cult of Sin was to be treated cautiously, every lead and suspect must be chased no matter what.

Only when the founder of the Last Hope himself, Omni Hanks arrived from the skies did the rowdy crowd settle down. He levitated above the ruins and eyed the surroundings. They truly respected the man to go silent, it also helped that the old man was known for his temper.

After a good minute, the old man shook his head before he slowly levitated towards Hanzel. Hanzel's officers had already done their own investigating, but it was useless. It seemed as if everything was submerged in blood and ruins.

"What did you see, Founder Omni?" Hanzel asked, his head slightly lowered.

"There are only corpses underneath," Omni said,

At that Hanzel felt rageful. Considering that they were at an orphanage, it was very likely that there were kids among those dead. Hanzel couldn't understand the Cult of Sin's motives at all. They took out the weapons of the police, but they didn't attack any significant location at all. Instead, they ran rampant in the local suburbs going on killing sprees. Hanzel didn't know if they were being merciful always for they most often left the kids alive.

Hanzel was pondering when Omni began to lift up a huge part of the ruins,

"Get your men to help clean up this part," Omni said as he set the ruin down on the side, "We ain't done here yet."
