He made a plan

I think this is going to be okay since he is the prince, and on our way, we can learn a lot about this world.

The masked man came down from his horse and said, "Why are you going to the city alone like this? Don't you have any party?"

"Party? No, we like to hunt alone."

"Solo hunt? You are really brave. And who is this young lady?"

The way he looked at her made Kairos feel annoyed. So, he hid her behind his back and said, "Her name is Irosa. She's my fiance."

"Ah!! Fiance! So miss Irosa, if you ever decide to walk your path alone, I will be glad to accompany you."

"Thank you for your offer but I don't think I will leave Kairos alone. You see, he's an idiot."

    Since when did you learn to talk like that-_-?

"Ahem, Irosa. Let's move, shall we? The prince has already caught up to us."

"Aren't you going to meet the prince? The masked man asked.

"Sorry, we don't know the royal manner to greet the prince. We might disrespect him unknowingly."

"Hahaha! Okay, okay."

    It's good to maintain some distance for now. He will come to us by himself anyway when it's time.

The sun was falling when they reached a small river. The whole journey would take more than a month, so it was important to take a day off and rest.

The knights of the prince started to build a tent for his highness and a group of adventurers went inside the jungle to hunt for food.

    We can survive a month without food but we can become suspicious if we don't eat. And this place is also filled with monsters, so why are they building tents? Can't they sense the danger?

"Kairos, are you sure we can sleep on the ground? Should we inform them about the monsters hiding under the ground?"

Kairos looked up at a tree and said, "None of my business. We will climb on this tree and sleep for today. We can just help them when they call for us."

"Okay, should I build a platform up there?"

"Yes, make whatever you want to build. I will collect some water from the river."

    No, I should inform the masked man right? If we don't give them a clue, they will doubt us more.

Fortunately, the masked man was sitting near the river where he was heading to. So he walked closer to him and said, "Hey, are you sure we can stay the night here?"

The man looked back and said, "Why? Is there any problem?"

"I don't feel comfortable here. Mind if we leave this place now?"

"The tents are already up, and the prince selected this place for tonight. So we can't oppose his words."

"Then, I will sleep on the tree. Keep your eyes open tonight. Because when the sun is down, they will come out."

"Who will come out?"

He looked to his side and saw he already left.

"Irosa, are you finished?"

"Almost."

Kairos was looking above the tree where his bond was making a small platform to stay the night. At that moment, the prince came close to him and said, "What is she doing up there? That tree isn't suitable for carrying two people's weight."

"It's a great honour to meet you, Prince. I am Kairos. And she is Irosa, my fiance."

"Ah! You don't have to kneel now. I'm just an adventurer right now."

"You're really kind, my prince."

    I knew he was going to come to me. Because our presence was so suspicious back in the guild.

"So, why did you build a tent up there? Is there something wrong down here?"

"We don't like staying on the ground at night. Higher places are much safer than the ground. No one knows what will come out when we are sleeping."

"Hahaha! Don't worry, this place isn't that dangerous. Also, we have guards who will be in charge of keeping an eye on the team."

    But the monsters down there are earth warms. They will just dig up inside your tent. Well, that's none of my problems. He's going to die anyway, so I will ask straight ahead.

"My Prince, do you know something about the heroes?"

The prince was too shocked to hear the word from his mouth. So, he grabbed his hand and said, "Come with me. This isn't a place to talk about it." 

   So he knows. 

The grin on his face was so clear that Irosa became really interested. So she followed them into the deep forest to hear their conversation.

"How did you know about this?"

"That's not important right now. I need to know everything about the heroes." 

"Shut up. It's all their fault that I'm roaming here and there to kill monsters."

"So, there are heroes, right? But the normal people don't know about their identity yet."

"Yes, it's a secret for now. My father, the king, is so fond of them that he forgot about his sons. He's letting them do whatever they want. They are so rotten and spoiled that it's hard to believe that they are heroes. They are more of a devil who's sucking off the kingdom's money."

"When did they come to your kingdom?"

"About a year ago." Kairos was so surprised to hear that only a small amount of time passed on this planet where he spent almost 80 years inside the Hive. 

    I must thank the devil when I beat him up. But I have a splendid plan in my mind right now. It's time for my dark blessing to shine.

"But tell me how did you get this information?"

The prince asked.

"Well, a secret source told me about them. So, do you feel angry about this matter? Do you hold a grudge against them?"

"I want them to disappear. They are not heroes. They are the real demon lords here."

   Perfect!!!

"Hmm. I can help you with that."

"Really? How can I trust a stranger?"

"Don't know… think about it tonight. I will get going now. See you later."

Suddenly, Irosa fell from a tree just to grab his whole body and return up there like a spider who caught its prey. The prince was so shocked to see her behaviour. It wasn't like a normal human. 

"Just who are they?" The prince mumbled.
