Ch 193 – God Beast

"This?!"

In a land of white fluffy clouds that lies below a golden sky, one can find a relatively ginormous hole that spanned hundreds of kilometers in sight. In the middle of the large hole with the end leading to nothing but pitch darkness, a woman can be seen floating with golden screens surrounding her.

Her appearance can simply be described as divine. She had long golden hair and piercing golden eyes, her skin was as fair as divine jade, and her golden dress that exposes a lot of skin seemed holy when she wore it. But at that moment, even with her divine grace, one would instantly see the sheer shock in her eyes as she stared at a certain golden screen floating right in front of her.

On it, one can see the world of Earth. In the past month, Earth has undergone radical changes due to the certain manipulation of a mortal with one step into the realm of gods. Now, Earth's atmosphere was covered in a layer of blue light like a membrane of mana.

But at that moment, a resounding change started to happen that not only affected Earth but nearly the whole solar system where Earth lies. The view on the screen rapidly change to zoom out, and the entirety of the solar system was shown. Out of nowhere, the sun suddenly glowed, and fierce pillars of flames quickly formed in the outer periphery of the sun.

As a True God, Angelica saw beyond the veil of the strange phenomenon and directly saw what truly happened. The moment the sun suddenly shone with bright light, both the laws of fire and light suddenly started to resonate with one another. The more pillars of flames formed, the stronger the resonance became between those two laws became.

The worlds surrounding the sun started to heavily suffer from the resonance of both laws, as the harsh light slowly dealt massive damage to the surrounding worlds. Some worlds glowed brightly like searing hot metal, others produced an insane amount of gas due to the sudden change in temperature, and others directly had parts of them melt and fly off into space. It was a cataclysmic event for the entire solar system, but as if expecting this change, Earth can be seen surrounded by a ginormous layer of silver nanites that absorbed the vast amounts of energy pouring out of the sun, protecting the fragile world from being harmed by the sudden resonance of both laws of fire and light.

Angelica muttered with a grim stare, her brows frowned as she couldn't but clench her fist in anger: "Ordo, to think you'd have amassed such a large army already. A God Beast, even I wouldn't use one willy-nilly. Just how far have you been growing in secret already?"

Just as she finished her sentence, the pillars of solar flames that formed at the outer layer of the sun started to gather, forming a bright orange-yellow ball of flames and light. The more the flames gathered, the deeper the changes became toward the laws of fire and light.

The temperature of the sun increased at a terrifying rate; its size slowly grew at a pace never before seen. As if the sun was splitting into two and producing a smaller star, the pillars of flames gathered more and more to form a larger sphere of flames, until finally, the sphere reached the same size as Earth's moon.

Quickly, a bestial roar that shook the entire solar system resounded, causing the sun to shine brightly once more. The sphere of flames hastily changed, and after a while, it transformed into an entirely different being altogether.

Its appearance was as if a lion personified the sun, as its body glistened and shone brightly like a star. Its mane was long and dabbed with the color of orange flames, while its pair of starlight eyes stared fiercely at the area in front of it. It bared its fearsome fangs of light and flames. A single breath of the ginormous beast the size of Earth's moon caused flames to spew out like an endless wave. Its tail swished behind its back, forming a thin line between the lion's body and the sun behind it.

"Just as I expected, it is indeed the God Beast—Solar Lion. Its laws are both fire and light, and with it being in close proximity to the sun, its strength increases to an unprecedented level. As a True God, I would be able to kill it with just a flick of my finger, but now stuck inside my own True World and unable to interfere in outside matters, this would either mean either absolute destruction for Earth…" Angelica muttered with a glint in her eyes, and her vision zoomed onto Earth where she saw a man with long silver-gray hair and eyes staring high into the sky with a confident grin: "Or perhaps he would bring a surprising twist to the situation."

She wordlessly stared at the golden screen in front of her, a hint of expectation flashed in her eyes as she couldn't help but feel optimistic about the situation with Isaac Deathwill on her side. And so, with her being unable to help in any way whatsoever, she continued to watch the event to see what would happen.

The Solar Lion roared loudly once again as its body solidified into existence fully. Just its mere presence alone caused the surrounding area to turn hotter while the sun shone brighter. This is due to the Solar Lion being a God Beast, an existence of the same level as a god. Due to it being a God Beast, the dense law of fire and light that formed the sun reacted and resonated with the Solar Lion, causing the sun to grow.

What are laws? They are the true building blocks of reality, the truest and most primordial form of reality when it is deconstructed to the barest bones. They are the DNA of the universe, the genes of worlds and galaxies. Laws of fire and light produce stars and suns; laws of water and earth form planets, and laws of time and space allow the universe to expand and grow.

A god is a being who has comprehended a single law beyond the limits of their own world, the limits of mortals. For a god to be born, they not only have to have supreme talent but also have the guts and courage to form an Inner World, a task that directly challenges the entire world. Due to those very harsh conditions, very few gods, and perhaps no gods at all, exist in a single world filled with life.

God Beasts, on the other hand, are beings directly born at the level of gods by the universe. They wield strength at the same level with zero effort to reach it. Their natural aptitude for their respective laws is far beyond what most beings hold, being able to directly reach god-level understanding of their respective laws at birth.

Comprehension of laws equates to an entirely different level of battle strength, and comprehending a single law to the realm of gods would equate to god-like battle strength. As a God Beast attuned to both law of fire and light and being in such close proximity to a literal ball of laws called the sun, its strength increased by many folds.

So, with the God Beast—Solar Lion being empowered to such a degree with its already absurd strength, most mortal beings would already accept their fate and understand that death is imminent. But Isaac Deathwill stared at the vast blue sky with a mad grin, his eyes glinting with an ominous light as a burst of loud laughter erupted: "Hahaha! So this is a God Beast! Terrific! TERRIFIC! SO THIS IS THE MIGHT OF GODS!"

Isaac's grin further widened; his arms spread widely to both sides as not even a hint of fear can be felt from his being. He exuded a diabolical aura, as his peak Demigod aura flourished outwards without reserve, but compared to the Solar Lion, it was akin to a small speck of pitiful light.

Responding to his movements, Angelica saw swarms of endless nanite spew out from the ground and sky. They rushed like an endless tidal wave of metals into the sky and out into space, leaving behind Earth's atmosphere to relentless charge towards the Solar Lion in the far distance.

Seeing the nigh-endless swarm of nanites that could swallow entire planets if Isaac wishes, it snorted and its gaze shone brightly. It raised one of its sunlight paws and swung it forward in a large arc. Fearsome flames erupted from its swing, forming a blade of flames that charged forwards toward the horde of endless nanites.

The nanites can be said to be creations at the peak of the mortal realm, with attributes that can simply be described as reaching a level just a step below godhood. One of its features was being nigh-immune to flames that it can even survive when stored inside the core of the sun, but when it was attacked by the casual attack of the Solar Lion, Isaac witnessed his nanites be destroyed without any hint of resistance.

"This is the difference between the mortal realm and godhood. Gods are capable of directly controlling the laws of reality, and are essentially allowed to overwrite the reality of their respective laws. Even if a mortal creation was able to withstand the heat of the core of the sun, the Solar Lion's attacks directly affected the law of fire and light, which allowed it to destroy the nanites through sheer heat alone," Angelica commented while watching with gleaming eyes.

She can still remember when she first reached the realm of gods as a God of Divinity, and how strong she became compared to a mortal. But that enjoyment quickly vanished as she realized how far the peak truly was. Now, countless years later, she is now a multiversal entity and is remembering the past as one of her avatars scattered throughout the endless multiverse.

"On the other hand, True Gods are beings far beyond gods, as they have comprehended the 'Truth' of their respective law. But the beings above them, the beings above me, they wield strength that can only be described as terrifying," Angelica continued as she watched intently at the scene in front of her.

Nanites swarmed and flew through the vast cosmos to charge toward the Solar Lion, but the gap between men and god was as vast as the difference between heaven and earth. Even with all of his accumulation of more than a thousand years in both life, Isaac Deathwill found himself helpless and unable to do any harm to the Solar Lion.

But despite all that, Isaac calmly stared at the sky as his eyes pierced through the clouds and sky towards the vast cosmos where the Solar Lion can be seen fending off the swarms of endless nanites with ease. Its eyes even have a hint of playfulness to them as if it was toying with a new toy it found.

And yet, even with such dire straits, Isaac Deathwill continued to grin more and more as the feeling of ominousness intensified around him. If one were to even have the ability to directly inspect the luck of beings, one would see a ginormous pillar of golden radiance piercing through the clouds and sky when they look at Isaac.

Angelica also saw this peculiarity as she saw how confident Isaac was, and couldn't help but feel a strange feeling of uneasiness. Even the Solar Lion started to feel something was wrong as it stopped moving for a moment and suddenly stared toward Earth where endless hordes of nanites spewed out from.

But at that moment, all of the nanites suddenly started to disperse and fly off into the distance. Upon seeing this, booming laughter erupted from Isaac as a loud, incomprehensible roar suddenly appeared in the void of space.

"This!" Angelica stared with shocked eyes as black tentacles burst out from the void of space all of a sudden. They were long and gooey like black slime, and their length was as long as entire planets. Its mere presence alone brought a feeling of cataclysm and destruction, and Angelica reeled back from how surprised she was.

"This… Isaac already has a God Beast under his control!" Angelica exclaimed in shock.

As if to confirm her theory, Isaac Deathwill raised his hand towards the sky with a mad grin and said with an ominous glint in his eyes: "Bahamut, the Devouring Darkness, you're finally here."
