Ch 147 – A Mysterious Plan

It was hot, searing hot, an unbearable temperature that would leave any normal human dripping with sweat as the glaring sun beamed them with its suffocating heat.

Inside the desert of endless rolling sand, two figures can be seen walking around, leaving behind a trail of footsteps behind them.

One was a tall man with fluffy brown hair and blue eyes, whose face remained unperturbed under the disturbing heat. He wore a simple set of clothing, consisting of a simple large white shirt and black pants. His aura was seemingly normal, with an air of intelligence stemming from his confident posture. But that normal aura of his was broken as one can see a light-yellow rune floated above his fluffy brown hair that made the area around his body cool and pleasant.

Not only that, but his pair of blue eyes also glowed a dim blue light as they surveyed the area consisting of rolling hills of yellow sand. A light yellow rune and glowing blue eyes, that was the indication that the man was a magic user.

Beside him was unexpectedly a young boy, with milky white skin and a pair of bored crimson eyes. Covering his eyes was his raven black hair which was relatively long. He wore a crimson hoodie and black pants, which would have made the experience more unbearable under the blazing heat, and yet he remained unperturbed by the glaring sun above him.

"You found the spot yet?" The boy called out while he spun around a metallic pole that gleamed under the bright sun.

"Just wait, it should be around here… Oh, we're here," the man beside him responded as his eyes glowed brightly upon looking at a certain spot. It was a mound of yellow sand… and that's it, the thing that he spotted was a mound of yellow sand.

"Sweet."

The two walked over to the mound of sand and the dim blue glow of the brown-haired man receded. He crouched down to the ground, his knees pressing against the hot sand which he pressed his two palms against. Then, as a strange blue glow suffused from his two pressed palms, an explosion of blue light erupts and a magic circle can be seen forming in mere moments.

"There we go."

Standing up, the man walks away from the mound of sand where the magic circle continues to glow a bright blue light. Walking up to it, the young boy raises his right arm that held the spear high into the sky, and his crimson eyes glowed brightly.

As if activating a strange power, crimson sparks erupted around his right arm which then extends onto the metallic people, slowly turning its silver luster into a bright crimson pole that crackled like electricity. With one motion, the pole was stabbed into the middle of the glowing blue magic circle. Like a drop of blue paint making contact with red water, the two different magic constructs fused color and turned a dark purple.

"So that's the 67th dimensional anchor on Earth, right?" the boy asked as he slowly walked towards the blue-eyed figure.

"Yep, now let's go, it's better to be early than late."

Waving his arms, a blue portal opened right beside the blue-eyed man and he walks through it. Shrugging his shoulders, the boy follows the man and also enters the portal, and with that, the desert went back to its lonely state with not a single soul in sight, and the strange construct the two have created has also mysteriously disappeared.

"Huh, the monsters in the ocean are evolving more rapidly compared to the ones on land," Raiden commented, his eyes staring around the dark sea with no hints of light around.

The two were currently staying in an underwater area, with the area around them suffused with darkness with the source of light being the blue glow covering Nicolas' body.

As of now, they were currently traversing the strange world of the deep ocean depths by walking on the sea floor of sand, rocks, and an assortment of weird sights produced by the mutation done by the existence of mana in the previously tamed world of Earth.

With mana, monsters are born and created as normal animals mutate and gain untapped power. And with time, even humans themselves would grow stronger as they gain the benefits of mana. Stronger muscles, better health, stronger immune system, etc. Now imagine animals who were already stronger than humans, evolve with mana.

They gain magical abilities, their bodies become living deadly weapons, and they gain incomparable might to the average human.

And right now, the two explored the ocean depths and encountered many fascinating monsters that have evolved unbeknownst to the rest of the world, for the ocean depths have remained unexplored to humanity.

"Oh? Is this the place?"

As they walked on the ocean depths, Raiden noticed a strange broken monument in the distance. White pillars covered in green plant life, foundations covered and entangled by seaweed, and other archaic sights as if it belonged to an ancient civilization long gone.

"Yep," Nicolas responded. Nearing the broken-down monument, Nicolas muttered lightly, "Appraisal."

"So?"

"Yeah, this place is perfect for a dimensional anchor."

Snapping his fingers, Nicolas' mana turned into a powerful force that grabbed hold of the broken monument. A bright blue glow covers the entirety of the broken monument, and a strange process soon started.

Like the rivers of time were reversed, the broken monument slowly moved. The seaweed went away, the green algae covering broken pillars receded, and they slowly moved like a reversed video. The pillars stood erect, the white floor turned rock solid, and the ceiling returned to its former glory.

Walking towards it, they saw some strange inscriptions on the walls that shows that it truly belonged to an ancient civilization. But they simply ignored it and went on after a while.

Walking to the middle of the room, Nicolas waved both of his arms as dots of blue light started to swirl around him. Slowly, the dots formed glowing blue runes that illuminated the surrounding area of the monument which looked like a temple.

Thrusting his arms outward, the runes were pushed back as they formed a circular formation with him in the middle. Not only that, but a second pair of runes formed and flew further to the back, which then eventually stopped outside the monument. With a snap, the second layer of runes glowed brightly and they formed an invisible barrier around the monument.

"Your turn."

Nodding his head, Raiden walks to the middle of the runes while Nicolas walks away and inspects the scene that soon ensued. Clasping his two palms together, Raiden pulls them apart and a glowing crimson sphere appeared between his palms. As if it has attracted the array of runes surrounding it, blue beams of light erupted from the runes towards the crimson sphere, and like before, they slowly turned a purple color.

Silently walking towards Nicolas, he waved his arms and a crimson tear appeared in front of them which the two walked through, leaving the monument behind them.

***

Just like that, the duo explored Earth, planting down multiple dimensional anchors one by one in strange places. Whether it be in a forest, a dumpsite, a desert, a savanna, behind a waterfall, high in the sky just above the clouds, or in the deepest depths of the oceans, they've thoroughly explored Earth, leaving behind countless strange constructs for unknown intentions.

But Earth was simply one single planet, their plans were far wider than that.

"So, this is what it's like to personally be on the moon," Nicolas commented, his pair of blue eyes shining brightly with brilliance as he looks at the blue planet in the distance with a curious gaze.

Sighing in amazement, he puts his focus back and saw Raiden in the distance walking around the surface of the moon, atop the white landscape of rocks and craters.

"You found the place yet?" Raiden shouted in the distance.

"Yeah!" Nicolas crouched down on the ground after walking for a while, his eyes glowing a piercing blue light as he presses his palm to the white ground and felt the rough surface of the moon.

Controlling his mana, an explosion of blue light glowed below him as a magic circle was instantly inscribed to the surface of the moon. And right now, its size was far larger than any previous circle he has constructed, with its size capable of encompassing multiple cities.

"Oh, it seems like I'd have to exert a deal of effort to manipulate space-time, huh?" Walking up to it, Raiden groaned and stood in the middle of the ginormous magic circle, where the both of them appeared like insignificant ants when it came to size.

As a bright crimson glow erupts below his feet, the magic circle below him slowly turned into a purple color slowly but surely. Moreover, multiple strange crimson dots appeared in front of Raiden as he moved them around, slowly influencing the fabrics of space-time and with a snap, the crimson dots in front of him formed into a straight line and stabbed to the ground, finally completing the dimensional anchor of the moon as it fully turned purple.

"Ugh, it seems like I'd really have to exert more effort that we're at a celestial scale," groaning, Raiden walks towards Nicolas in the distance and they disappeared from the surface of Earth's moon with a flash of crimson and blue light.

And so, the two explored the entirety of the solar system for multiple months. From random meteorites and asteroids, the planets—including Pluto, and their every moon.

By the time the two finished every planet, every moon, every asteroid, every meteorite, and whatever stuff they found in the void of space, the two has grown exponentially in terms of their abilities. With constant usage of his space-time manipulation, Raiden's mastery over space-time has increased by leaps and bounds. Moreover, with the complex formulas, magic circles, and runes that Nicolas had to deal with, his mastery over magic has definitely gone beyond what he was capable of compared to his past life and now.

But now, they were currently facing their hardest challenge yet.

It was bright, glaringly bright. The heat was also ungodly, with anything that nears it turning into ashes and dust. Where could they be, you may ask?

"Fuck! Can't you hurry up, Nicolas?"

"Fuck you, Raiden! You think it's easy to inscribe a complex magic circle that is larger than Earth in terms of diameter in the middle of the fucking Sun?!"

"Shut up! Here, let me do some causality bullshit so your magic talent is higher, because holy fuck, this shit is unbearable, even with my causality manipulation!"

Pressing his palms against Nicolas' back, reality around them warped as the shine in Nicolas' closed eyes glowed brightly, as if they had understood the deeper principles of magic.

"What?! You can do that?! Why didn't you say so earlier!"

"Shut up! I was only able to do it due to desperation, you're lucky that you didn't die from that! Now go on, finish this circle so we can get the fuck out of here and see the fruits of our labor!"

"I know, I know!"

As a bright blue glow erupted in the core of the sun, Raiden hastily poured his energy into Nicolas while rearranging the fabrics of space-time around them with gargantuan effort. Slowly, the ginormous blue magic circle turned purple while Raiden swiftly fixed space-time around them.

"FINISH!"

The two shouted in tandem as they teleported out of the core of the sun and a wave of relief spread all over their body. Just staying inside the core of the sun holds many problems, from heat, pressure, gravity, and so much more that it can potentially even kill Gods due to how extreme the situation was.

But, their figures soon stood straight when they noticed a purple tear in space suddenly appear which caused their breaths to halt. Slowly, a snow-white arm poked through the purple tear in space, then a leg, and finally, the whole body.

"Dada!" Raiden instantly rushed forward, taking the figure who appeared into a tight hug. On the other hand, Nicolas bowed his head and paid his respects to his mentor.

There he was in the flesh, with glowing purple eyes and raven black hair, skin supple like a babe's bum, and pink lips that attracts anyone's attention. He wore a simple white shirt and black pants, but when he wore them, they became of divine status. He smiled lightly while patting Raiden's head, before nodding at Nicolas.

"Good job, you two. Now, we can finally spread the Akasha System."

Letting go of Raiden, the duo steps backward and watches as Lute float into the void of space with a grin on his face.

As the shine in his eyes glowed brightly, they were greeted by the sight of countless shining purple dots throughout the entirety of the solar system, illuminating the dark void like bright stars. Like the start of a rapid change, the bright purple glow that can be seen all around the solar system rapidly expanded, and in mere seconds, if one were to look from a distant view, a bright purple glow encapsulated the entirety of the solar system and also disappeared without a trace in the next few moments.

With the duo behind Lute watching in awe, Lute turns his head and nods at the two before abruptly disappearing.

Just like that, the two were left alone in the void of space as they breathed a sigh of relief, for their plan had succeeded. How do they know that?"

"Status."

With a ding, a purple screen greeted the duo as they laughed loudly and shouted, "Ahaha! IT WORKED!"

"Our efforts that took a year to accomplish are finally here!"

"Whew, ha… Okay, let's go back, the Goddess is definitely panicking right now so the next step of the plan has already started."

"Yeah, the next plan is definitely a lot more delicate compared to this one. I guess we just have to trust father and your clone, right?"

"Definitely. Scheming against a Goddess who exists in countless universes is gonna be hard, but we're lucky that her consciousness is divided amongst countless avatars, so if we play our cards right, it would succeed."

Just like that, the two disappeared with a flash of purple light, for Braun's plans take another step forward. With mystery and an unknown future, what schemes does Freidrich Braun has in store for the Goddess. Will his plans prevail, or will the Goddess eventually win? Find out next time, for this is only the start to reaching the apex of the multiverse.

AN: This chapter has 2475 words.

I just realized how confusing this must have been for the readers. Don't worry, it's pretty fucking simple once you read next chapter.
