Ch 123 – The Eyes of God

It was a dark night, with the sky above being black yet dotted with colorful stars, along with the giant moon hanging above devoid of any clouds. It was silent, with most demons living in Stolas City lying asleep peacefully, yet the buildings were filled with nighttime light, a scene that can't be normally seen in any normal human cities due to the lack of magitech advancement.

In a certain part of the city with no buildings in sight, two cloaked figures appeared in a flash of purple and crimson light, and a blue portal many times their size formed in front of them from the emptiness of the air. It was vibrant and dazzling as if it was holding an enormous amount of energy within.

The taller cloaked figure suddenly flashed a purple light from where its hood Is located, illuminating the area for a split second before a soft voice spoke out, "S-Rank dungeon, Death Worms are inside."

"Death Worms?"

A childish voice spoke out from the shorter figure, the smaller figure then took off his hood to show Raiden's childish face.

"It's a monster many meters in size that reeks of the stench of death. Its mere presence would kill most hints of life in an area, and is hostile to most living creatures. It has absurd regeneration, and strong physical strength, though it has a relatively weak defense as an S-Rank monster. Its 'weakness' is its insides, though it isn't much of a weakness really," Lute explained, he also took off his hood and one can see his eyes glowed a dark purple light.

Closing his eyes, the purple light disappeared and it returned to its normal appearance, with a dark purple iris and a white outer area.

'Huh, my demonic armament can also see the data of a dungeon. Demonic Armaments really do have absurd abilities, especially when my estimates are proven true later on.' Lute smiled lightly.

"Let's go, we still have to test out the full extent of our Demonic Armaments and new abilities gained from our demonic bloodline."

As the two walked forward to the blue portal in front of them fearlessly, their bodies disappeared while a burst of mana erupted from the blue portal in response.

Inside the dungeon, the duo opened their eyes to find themselves in an endless desert of gray sand. It was bleak, the sky was also a lighter shade of the gray sand below. One can even call it a land of death, with no sense of life in sight except for the two.

"Akasha's Eyes."

Lute's eyes glowed purple once more, and his very vision rapidly change. The essence of death in the air, the strings of fate revealed themselves to him clearly, and the passage of time turned into clear projections in his perception.

"Demon Core."

A crimson light erupted from Raiden's chest, his eyes erupted with crimson light as his body became slightly ethereal, it was as if he was there yet he was not. Like a being disconnected from the reality he was in.

Hearing their voices, vicious roars appeared all around them similar to the cries of gigantic monsters. As the ground shook chaotically, both Lute and Raiden jumped from the ground, evading the multiple Death Worm heads that popped up from the ground, intending to eat the two.

Squinting his eyes, Lute's vision rapidly changed and multiple points appeared all over the area around him.

"The trajectory needed for a single mana bullet to kill five Death Worms, experiment 1."

As a ball of mana appeared from the tip of his index finger, a blue light flew down towards the group of Death Worms. The ball of mana spun in the air, increasing its piercing power while also allowing it to curve around in the air.

*Pak* x5

With amazement, Raiden watches as the ball of mana bounces around the heads of the five Death Worms, piercing through their body and killing the five with a simple bullet of mana.

As their bodies dropped to the sandy ground with a loud thud, Raiden gasped and praised his father's amazing feat, "That's so cool!"

"I know."

Lute laughed. A platform of purple light formed below the soles of his feet, remaining in the air while Raiden fell down to the ground rapidly.

Erupting from the ground, a Death Worm larger than the average worm appeared. Its circular mouth filled with jagged teeth rapidly shoots towards Raiden, intending to eat him.

"Demon Core, don't fail me now!" Raiden shouted, the crimson core glowing through his cloak glowed brightly and crimson sparks covered his body. With an explosion of crimson light, the Death Worm chomped its ginormous mouth and a loud chomping sound was heard similar to the clasp of lightning.

Looking with nonchalant eyes to another area in the air, Lute saw Raiden's body appear after space-time warped, his eyes shone brightly with joy while a small goofy grin formed on his face.

"Haha! Did you see that, Dad? I can finally manipulate space-time!" Raiden shouted in relief before his body zaps through the air once more.

With a line of crimson light pierced through the air, the body of the Death Worm who was still slowly falling to the ground got decapitated, its body being cut into multiple segments and exploding with green blood.

Another flash of crimson light appeared, and Raiden's body was now standing in the air right beside Lute. The core in the middle of his chest glowed brightly, crimson sparks can still be seen erupting all around him while Raiden grinned brightly.

"So, can you observe parallel timelines? Time travel?" Lute asked nonchalantly.

"Not yet, but I think I can time travel more easily right now. I can also teleport…" Raiden explained his current basic abilities with the demon core, his demonic armament.

"Good, good. Though observing timelines would be my job once I test it out, you being able to control space-time directly is a great addition to our plans," Lute said.

It was strange for him to openly admit these things, his limitless mind's conjured plans so deep one can never see its ends, that even I can't give a reason as to why he was doing this without writing a billion words, so no.

Just like that, the two slowly fell to the ground, and a pair of wings appeared from their back. Behind Lute, a pair of dark purple wings consisting of owl-like wings erupted, the mana in the air swirled around his wings allowing him to fly through the air at drastic speeds.

Just like his father—Lute, dark crimson wings formed from Raiden's back with dim crimson light, and his body flew through the air at speeds far faster than his father, leaving behind a trail of crimson light.

As the feeling of air slammed against his face, Raiden used the endless energy contained within him to dampen the air resistance, allowing his body to seamlessly fly to the air. Though if he were to deactivate it, it will destroy anything around his vicinity from his momentum.

Pouring the energy residing in his soul into the crimson core in his chest, Raiden closed his eyes and felt his body being removed from the fabrics of space-time around him as if he was becoming a being out from the grasp of reality around him.

It was comforting in its own way, and he opened his eyes, only to find himself in the endless void with endless paths of white light.

'Time travel acquired. Let's go!'

Raiden grinned before his body disappeared from the strange area he found himself in. Arriving back in the desolate desert of Death Worms, he located countless Death Worms all around the ground, and he conjured multiple spears of lightning around him.

Throwing it to the ground, multiple loud explosion was heard, and he saw the body of the Death Worms fly into the air, showing their charred body to him.

'Hmm, I didn't expect manipulating space-time to be so hard. But still, time travel is so fucking cool! Though dad did forbade me from using it too much unless I was absolutely sure I'd reached the level of a paradox. Even if that was the case, I must use it to a minimum, and only use it when necessary, like dealing with a time traveler.' Raiden thought. His eyes then widened when he saw a ginormous worm suddenly fly into the air in the distance, it was tens of meters like, like a beast of destruction.

With a flash of purple light beside him, Raiden turned his head and saw Lute—his father—floating right beside him, his eyes were a lighter shade of purple while a dark purple cube floated around him.

"That's the boss monster. You excited to deal with it? And yes, I know you just time traveled, good job," Lute said, his hand patting Raiden's head.

"How did you know?" Raiden inquired, surprised at his father's seemingly all-knowing aura at the moment.

"You're not the only one who can observe the passage of time, Raiden. C'mon, let's deal with it so I can finally try out the full power of my eyes," Lute said, grinning lightly as Raiden nodded his head.'

With that, their wings unfurled brightly before they flew through the air. Raiden was the first to arrive with his absurd speed, the crimson core in his chest glowed brightly before a crimson sword appeared in his grasp.

"<Martial Arts, Godflash>."

Like a flash of thunder, Raiden's body pierced through the air, his body blitzing through the body of the ginormous Boss Death Worm, he erupted from the other side with green blood, and Death Worm's flesh evaporated around the area of crimson sparks around him.

Looking back, Raiden watches as the small hole he drilled through the Boss Death Worm healed back in no time. Based on the time it regenerated, it would take Raiden to exert some effort to finally kill it.

As Raiden's body disappeared from the air once more, he watches as a ginormous hand made from purple mana appears in the air, grabbing the cylindrical body of the Boss Death Worm and lifting it to the air.

Around Lute's arm, a glove of purple light can be seen, indicating that he was controlling the giant arm choking the Boss Death Worm in the air through his real arm. Lifting his arm higher to the air, a ridiculous quantity of mana was poured into the giant hand of mana in the air, no matter how the Boss Death Worm struggled, the hand of mana remained solid and undisturbed.

'Uwah! That's so unfair! Dada is too talented at magic! Unlike me, all I have is my speed! I can't even… Oh, I can do that.' Raiden grinned wryly, before a hand of crimson light also appeared beside him, constructed from the endless energy swirling inside Raiden.

Rearing his arm, he points it toward the gigantic Boss Death Worm hanging in the air, and punched his hand forward, making the ginormous crimson hand he made fly through the air and punch the Boss Death Worm's body.

With a loud explosion, Death Worm flesh and green blood flew into the air, enveloping the surrounding gray desert around them with the color of green.

*Zwomp*

Lute's body appeared right beside Raiden in a flash of purple light, and Raiden grinned bashfully. He expected some praise from his father, and he received just that.

"Good job, Raiden. Now, go full power right now, okay? Your Dada is gonna go above and beyond right now, which should allow me to gain a broken ability if it works just as intended," Lute grinned, and Raiden nodded his head.

With a flash of crimson light, the passages of time and fabrics of space warped, causing multiple Raidens to suddenly appear all around them, they were tens in numbers, their body was covered in bright crimson light and surrounded their father to protect him from any unexpected danger.

Closing his eyes, Lute stood still in the air as he raised his head towards the gray sky above them. All he saw was the blackness formed from the devoid of light due to him closing his eyes. Slowly, he sensed his soul pouring endless mana into his eyes which was currently his demonic armament.

'And so, the eyes of an all-knowing god shall open. To think I'll gain nigh-omniscience so soon, losing my original body really is a blessing.' Lute narrated, a small grin appearing on his avatar's face.

It glowed a bright purple, illuminating the area around him brightly as one can sense the enormous amount of mana swirling in the area around him.

Instead of being greeted by the gray sky of the dungeon, he was instead greeted by… everything.

Every future born from every decision, everything to ever exist and will exist in the confined universe he finds himself in was revealed to him. It was endless, beautiful, dazzling, brilliant, endless words of praise can be sung to the mere sight he saw.

And in all of them, a sight so majestic was revealed to him, and a voice called out lightly.

Only he was able to hear what the voice said, and he responded with a silent voice in turn.

And so, his eyes returned to normal, greeted by the same gray sky in the gray desert they were in.

"Let's go, we're done here," Lute called out lightly, he descended to the ground, and his dark purple wings disappeared into his cloak.

"Okay!" Raiden shouted before the other Raidens around him disappeared. Dropping to the ground just like his father, Lute, they arrived in front of the blue portal in front of them and walked through it, leaving the dungeon behind them that bore witness to the official birth of an All-Knowing, All-Encompassing, and All-Existing God who thirsts for Knowledge.

AN: This chapter has 2327 words.

Yes, it's bootleg The Almighty but just with abilities related to future vision/nigh-omniscience. If you think this was absurd, remember, he's been alive for more than a thousand years as a reality-warping god, achieving nigh-omniscience so fast is only normal for Braun's caliber.

Now, the true mystery is what he saw in the future. I'm just gonna say it, but the final paragraph pretty much sums up the future development of Braun.

Writing a paranoid maniac with nigh-omniscience is hard, so send your power stones you leech.
