1 Final Trial

It was a Saturday morning in the Country's largest court room in City T. the place was very crowded since it was the final trial of Mr. Thomas Mensah, the accuse of a serial killing that went on in a small town called Asemhia a suburb of country T. Mrs. Wood, the presiding judge of the case asked the lawyer of the accused if whether he had anymore witnesses or evidence to prove that the accused is innocent from all charges, but then as expected "There is none Your Honor" the lawyer said.

Since all the witnesses and evidence provided by the prosecutor was pointing at the Mr. Mensah being the culprit. "Your honor, I believe with all the evidence given and all that our witnesses have said, such a dangerous person would not be left to roam on the streets where our vulnerable wives and children will be walking"said the prosecutor as his final briefing after giving the chance by the judge.

After what seemed like a never ending event, the judge finally gave her verdict "After all the evidences given and what that is said by the witnesses, Mr. Mensah who is the accused has been found guilty and therefore, I hereby sentence him to death". Everybody in the court room was very happy about the final verdict of the judge except Gavriel, the son of the accused because he knew his father was innocent and has been wrongly accused while the main culprit is out there roaming and having is freedom.

Mr. Mensah though not rich was a very respectable person in his neighborhood. He used to be a lively person but all those ceased to exist after the death of his pregnant wife and daughter. Mrs. Irene Mensah and Lina Mensah, the mother and daughter pair died in a car accident on their way home from the market one Tuesday evening during the vacation of Lina. They went to the market to buy the necessary stuffs for the unborn child in her stomach since she has two more months before her delivery date.

But was met with an accident. Even though the case was concluded as an accident, Mr. Mensah stood his grounds by saying that both his pregnant wife and daughter were murdered because it was found that the cause of the accident was brake failure. Mr. Mensah told the police officer in charge of the case that the car was tampered with by someone because the car his wife used that day was used by him the previous day before the accident and there was nothing wrong with it.

But no matter what he said, the police paid no attention to him and still went ahead to conclude the case as an accident. When he got to know that the police have no intention of investigating the case further, he made up his mind to find the killer of his wife no matter what the obstacle may be and that was when he got to know that the police in charge of the case was instructed by the higher ups to conclude the case as an accident.
