1 Death

"Honey! Good luck today!" a young woman said to a man with striking looks, he had black scruffy hair and blood red eyes. He had a moderate build and basic cloths. This man was Akatsuki and he is the protagonist of this story. He smiled charmingly as he kissed his wife on the head and said "You too honey, I expect something good for dinner! Todays my promotion after all!" He said while walking out of the door.

"You already know big boy!" his wife chuckled as she handed him his lunch box. "Today we are going to have meat!"

"I can't wait! See you soon!" the man said as he excitedly rushed down the stairs, not able to wait for the day to be over.

"HOLD UP BOY!" An old man said as he grabbed his shoulder.

'Ah shit.' Akatsuki thought as he faced the old man.

"Rent, where is it." the old man inquired.

"I just got my promotion today, the money will be rolling in soon!" Akatsuki said with a embarrassed smile.

"If its not payed in a week, then you have to walk out you understand, its been a month and I understand that your a poor family, but you have to understand that I need money too." the old man said with a grin as he left Akatsuki.

"*sigh* Guess I can't buy that gift I wanted, I'll buy it later, time to go." Akatsuki said with determination as he started the day.

The day went on, he got bullied at work for not having money or a decent house, promotion went well, but the boss made up some stupid excuses to delay his paycheck even though he say the money peeking out of his shirt, and finally, he had to pay MORE money for gas. He then left work to go pick up his wife. His wife was the only reason he had to live, his parents were dead, and they didn't have that much money to even survive on, let alone have a child, or even a pet. Also his wife has a special disease that weakens her brain called Huntington's disease, this makes her brain cell's slowly die is certain parts, making her lose emotion or memories.

Akatsuki constantly reminds her that he is her husband and that they share a close connection. The final threat that his disease can cause is her brain completely not working at all, frozen. She still might be alive, but only for an hour at tops. She will lose all ways of thinking and it will be like you are trapped in a box with no way of getting out. He only effective solution is to get a brain transplant, which requires a brain to be transplanted into the other persons head. This is a solution that Akatsuki goal in life is, its just that is costs millions to get a brain, the procedure is only a couple thousand.

"Hmhm..." Akatsuki was whistling while driving his Hunda on the road and the lingering smell of gasoline.

Waaaaaahhhhhhh (I don't know how to describe a siren!)

Sirens were blaring and Akatsuki saw that an ambulance was parked infront of the restaurant that his wife worked at.

"No... Shit, shit, shit...." Akatsuki kept on cursing as he ran up the stairs and saw his wife being loaded onto the ambulance, there wasn't any physical damage on her body, but he knew what the real problem was.

"T-That's my wife! What happened!" Akatsuki asked the emergency medic.

"Your wife had an emergency collapse, her brain has shut down and she has entered the drone state. She has Huntington's disease right?"

"Y-Yes..." Akatsuki worst fears have come true.

"She has reached the final stage, the only thing that can save her is a brain transplant, looking at your cloths, I don't think you can afford it." the medic said in a gloomy voice.

"T-Take mine! I'll do it!" Akatsuki said, ready to die for his wife's survival.

"I ain't surprised, lovers do this all the time, you'll probably back down like a coward later on, hop on in." the medic said while telling his parters that Akatsuki will sacrifice himself which surprised them.

The mood in the van was bleak, everyone was silent except Akatsuki, who was silently muttering to himself while writing his last word's on a piece of paper.

"You'r going to be ok honey, your going to be ok." his pencil was shaking, he was scared of death, but his determination to save his wife had no bounds.

"Come here and fill out this form, team, take her to the emergency operation room, quickly!" the man yelled.

Akatsuki filled out the form and the medic guided him to the bed which laid next to his wife.

"W-When I die, give this letter to my wife, please." Akatsuki's eyes were blood red.

"Rest assured I will, now I'll request you to lay next to your wife and take these pills, it will shut down your nervous system and your endorphins, removing pain, it will also make you fall asleep so we can do the procedure, your wife will be safe." He said while handing a black and red pill to him.

"T-Thank you, I will say good bye then." Akatsuki said as he lied next to his wife.

"I love you..." He slowly said as he took the pill, shutting him down.

The surgery went smoothly and Akatsuki's wife was saved, she saw herself wake up in a hospital bed, the fresh air and the sunlight shining down on her face made her glance to her right side, she then saw a note, she slowly uncurled its thin creases until it was fully revealed.

---

My Dear Honey Bee,

I have had so much fun being with you, our days of cuddling, joking, and living together. I have loved you from the day we first met, it was in high school I remember, I have no regrets not going to college just to stay with you, you are the core of my apple, my sun in my day, my 100 in my gradebook, hehe, I'm not that good in making these metaphors, am I. I'm going to miss you, even after my death. I hope you take care of that big lump of meat I left in your head. I love you, Asel.

From your Beehive, Akatsuki

Slowly, the paper got damper and damper.
