Chapter 12

He gave me directions as I drove. We pulled around to a side street a block away from the girl’s house, out of site from the cops. “Wait here,” he said before exiting the car, trench coat slipping back on.

I grinned at the site of him as he crouched down and ran between the trees and bushes. He looked like a slightly larger than normal bunny rabbit—but at least he was my bunny rabbit. And then I heard it in my ear.

“Almost there.”

“Craig, that you?” I asked. “How did you do that?”

“How did I do what?” he asked as he disappeared through a hedge.

“Talk to me?”

He chuckled. “Didn’t I tell you?”

My sigh returned. Craig had that effect on me—both in bed and out. “Tell me what?”

“Mini hearing aids and mini transistor radio,” he replied. “I can’t keep up with you when you’re running, but we can still stay in touch.” He paused. “There’s also a homing device built into the codpiece.”

I laughed. “So you can keep dibs on my dick?”
