1 Fictional Echoes : A Tale of Revenge and Redemption

As the moonlight shone through the warehouse window, the luminous glow seeped in as tranquility descended, the peaceful air being disturbed only by the screams echoing within the warehouse.

"Aaaggghhh," a man screamed, his body collapsing as a small hole could be seen on his leg as blood gushed out.

Tears stained his cheeks as he clutched his leg in urgency, his hands pressed tightly on the wound tried to stop any bleeding, but it was no use as blood persistently leaked, staining the ground a scarlet red.

Fear etched itself within the man's face as he attempted speech, his voice stuttering, though this wouldnt stop him as he tried to maintain a facade of calmness completely contradicting his expression.

The man steadied his voice as he glared angrily at the assailant who shot him; his dark brown eyes, which previously held fear, now held a murderous glint within them.

Gnashing his teeth, the man spoke, his deep voice being interrupted only by his own stuttering.

"If you shoot me again, we will both die here today," the man exclaimed threateningly, his gaze bore deep into the boy who had shot him.

Knowing that the man's words held truth, Noah, the 17-year-old boy who had shot the man, smiled playfully.

"You think I didn't know that? I knew as soon as I vowed to get revenge on you that this path led to death."

"Why are you doing this, Noah? I helped you, gave you a home, a job, clothed you. Why would you do this?" the man spoke, his chest heaving heavily up and down as he felt dizzy.

'I'll die from blood loss at this rate,' the man thought as the strength in his body waned.

"HELPED ME; you're the one who ruined my life in the first place. Not only did you fucking KILL MY FATHER! You also used me, had me take care of all your illegal dealings while leading me astray. I KILLED A PERSON!" Noah shouted frustrated , his emotions an uncontrollable force; his voice, like venom, was laced with hate.

"You've turned me into a monster. No, it's worse; you've turned me into... You. Just like how you took the life of my innocent father, I too took the life of an innocent person." Noah wailed, tears stained his face, making it hard to see clearly.

His thoughts were in disarray as his whole being screamed at him to just pull the trigger.

'If I kill another person, would I be able to face my father? Would I be able to confidently confront him?' Noah thought as his mind was at war.

One side of him screamed to pull the trigger, but another softer side tried to hold him back.

An ongoing clash of 'KILL HIM' and 'LEAVE HIM' ran amok, leaving Noah not sure what to do.

Before his thoughts overcame him, a loud sound echoed within the warehouse.

*doof... Doof.. Doof*

A loud clash reverberated through the door as the man, his bodyguard, tried to break it down.

"BOSS, ARE YOU STILL ALIVE?" the bodyguard screamed desperately.

"HELP, HELP!" the boss screamed as the hope of survival no longer seemed impossible.

"Well, it seems like we have to cut this short," Noah said as his grip on the gun tightened, his hands a bit shaky, pushing down on the trigger.

*Bam*

*Bam*

*Bam*

*Bam*

Multiple gunshot wounds covered the man's body his body slowly becoming lifeless as his tale coming to an end.

Fulfilling the goal of killing the man who had singlehandedly ruined his whole life, a feeling of emptiness formed within Noah.

'No, I should feel happy. This should've fixed everything. Why am I still in pain?' Noah wailed, his tears streaming uncontrollably.

Making his decision, Noah's grip on the gun tightened, as a loud sound echoed throughout the warehouse.

Figures wearing suits barged in as they spotted their boss's killer, but before they could exact their revenge.

The boy took his own life as near their boss's body, laid the body of a kid, no older than 17; this boy had been someone they had all known previously.

Well, how wouldn't they all know him? They had all participated in the murder of his father.
