"Fuck, I got too excited seeing it has a blind spot, but even with the blind spot, it can still locate me with its other senses."
Swinging its huge paw again, the wolf launched a flurry of attacks at Bellator . This time he reacted too late as his body was sent flying through the air before being stopped by a tree.
Mind-numbing pain hit Bellator as blood spurted out of his mouth. Blood could be seen on his body as he became dizzy.
"STAND UP, STAND UP, IT WILL NOT END LIKE THIS, STAND THE FUCK UP!" Bellator screamed, forcing his aching body to move, adrenaline running through his veins.
Watching its prey get up, the wolf seemed amused, relishing in his struggle.
Gripping his sword even tighter, Bellator took the initiative as he dashed at the wolf.
Running towards the colossal wolf, another attack came his way. Closely following the attack with his eyes, Bellator managed to dodge it as he stabbed the wolf's leg.
Breaching the wolf's defenses, a small cut appeared on its leg.
Not wasting his opportunity, Bellator let out three more slashes as he jumped away from the wolf, trying to create some distance.
Yet the wolf didn't give him an opportunity as it immediately followed. This time the wolf used its huge teeth as it tried to bite him.
Jumping back in the nick of time, Bellator just barely survived, ending up in the wolf's belly.
"Agghh, my lungs burn," he thought as more blood escaped his mouth.
An unnatural weakness affected Bellator as his movements started getting slower and slower, and his body felt sluggish.
Yet with a steeled resolve, he kept fighting, noticing his body getting weaker. A sadistic smile etched itself on the wolf's face.
As all of a sudden, a purple smoke emitted from its body.
"So that's what it was," he thought as his consciousness started slipping.
"So I die from poison," Bellator thought as the wolf started approaching his body, which had gone immobile due to him overworking it and the miasma entering his body.
Taking its time to approach him, the wolf took slow steps, enhancing the fear that Bellator felt.
As it finally stood in front of Bellator, the wolf put its paw on his chest as it slowly started exerting more and more pressure on his body.
Feeling his ribcage start cracking as the wolf looked at his body with a hint of pleasure.
"AAAGGGHHH," he screamed loudly as an unbearable pain assaulted his body.
"Please, I don't want to die," Bellator said as a tear streamed down his cheek.
As if responding to his desperate plea, a bright red light blinded the wolf as a necklace materialized on his neck.
Shutting its eye, the wolf didn't even get to witness its own death as a powerful red beam akin to a laser shot through its head, blowing it up in the process.
As blood flew everywhere, the ground got shaded a dark scarlet red as blood gushed from its body.
By this point, Bellator's whole body was covered in blood as a horrible stench emitted from his body.
"I'm still alive," Bellator thought while half-conscious.
"But I can't even move my body. I'll still die here," he thought, accepting his fate.
Yet like before, an image of a blonde mother and daughter duo flashed in his mind as Bellator, using all his willpower, forced his body to move.
Slowly standing up, a sticky scarlet red substance could be seen all over his body, a mixture of both his own and the wolf's blood.
Moving his injured body, Bellator started heading towards the cave. As he got closer to the cave, a sight that made his heart drop appeared.
Standing at the entrance to the cave, another wolf could be seen. Although it appeared weaker than the previous wolf, Bellator was in no condition to fight, as even a single attack would end his life.
Standing in front of the cave, dread filled the wolf as it saw a human covered in its alpha's blood walking towards it.
The human seemed weakened and was dragging his body, yet knowing that this human probably killed its alpha, the wolf ran away.
"Did it just run away?" Bellator thought, confused.
"Well, I am covered in another wolf's blood that probably scared it away."
Finally arriving at the entrance of the cave, Bellator entered as his body immediately collapsed.
Sensing his impending doom, a look of acceptance appeared on his face as he closed his eyes.
Yet before he could die in peace, a system message startled him.
[The conditions have been fulfilled.]
[The test of ???? shall begin.]
