Final Exams - [Aaron's Plan]

In the vice headmistress's office, Amber was dozing as her was head resting on a stack of papers and a few pens scattered beside them.

Knock~ knock~

Startled by the sudden knock on the door, she rose from her chair as she walked towards the door, she slowly opened it.

"Amber, we have a problem!" Elina exclaimed as the doors swung open.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Amber inquired, rubbing her weary eyes.

Without warning, Elina firmly grasped Amber's shoulders and gave her a gentle shake.

"Snap out of it, Amber! We've got a major crisis!" Elina exclaimed, though she remained composed earlier in front of Aaron, she was only hiding her panic.

Sensing that something was wrong, Amber used her magic to dispel her drowsiness.

Immediately, Elina explained everything about the situation that was happening in the dungeon and also told her that the students are in danger.

In that instant, the same suspicion crossed their minds as it had for Kathleen and Iris within the depths of the dungeon. They believed that the one responsible for modifying the dungeon to prepare it for exams must be behind this problem.

"Amber, do you know who was assigned to that duty?" Elina inquired, as she was aware that the details about the ever-changing dungeon had been kept secret even from the instructors.

"It was that old bastard, Adam." There are very few people that know and had the knowledge about modifying the dungeons. With Instructor Adam being the good candidate, the headmaster himself selected him for the job.

"Selen." She exclaimed, and in an instant, a figure materialized right beside them, as it fell onto its knees.

"Bring that bastard to me!" Her voice reverberated with fury as the silhouette vanished from the ground, leaving no trace behind.

The special instructors will stay in the academy 24 hours a day, they would only be away if they have any personal works.

"The students are in danger! Let's go to the moniter room." Amber spoke as they swiftly exited her room and quickly moved towards the monitoring chamber.

However, Amber was thinking something, she found it unbelievable that someone would betray the academy.

After all, it wasn't as if they had the freedom to do so even if they desired, because every instructor and special instructor had to sign a soul contract, binding them to an oath of loyalty. Breaking that contract would result in their souls shattering, leading it to their death.

Breaking a contract is simply a impossible task unless both of the parties involved willingly agreed to it.

While she had heard rumors of ancient treasures capable of such breaking them, she found it hard to believe they still existed in the current era. After all, she only heard about them from the forgotten stories of the Null Era.

They arrived at the monitor room and stepped inside, but a frowned expression appeared on Elina's face.

"Where is Instructor Aaron?" she asked, her eyes scanning the room.

"Why are you asking me?" Amber questioned, her instincts telling her something is wrong.

She felt something and looked down on the ground, suddenly emerging from the shadows once again, the familiar shadowy silhouette materialized before her and knelt down.

"Where is he?" she inquired, a trace of annoyance lacing her voice.

"Young mistress, I couldn't locate that individual within the academy grounds. However, I did come across his assistant." The silhouette informed, and at that moment, a young man tied by ropes slowly emerged from the shadows.

Amber's eyes narrowed sharply. "That was enough to confirm my suspicions. Now go and swiftly inform all the special instructors and guards that the academy is under attack." Upon receiving her command, the silhouette vanished once more.

Her gaze fixated upon the chair of Aaron, and a sense of unease surged within her. She swiftly started thinking about it.

"Those two vanished into thin air. It's too much of a coincidence—they must be working together. And why strike now? Perhaps they used the dungeon commotion as a diversion. But their plan... what could it be? They definitely won't attack head-on, which means they're after a student to kidnap or they're going to steal something valuable."

Despite the situation, her mind raced, swiftly analyzing the possibilities. Suddenly, her eyes widened as she thought of somthing.

"Elina, keep this one here. He might have some valuable information and also interrogate him so you could gain somthing to resolve the dungeon issue. I got somthing to do." She instructed before quickly departing from the room.

In an unknown place in the academy, a portal materialized and Aaron emerged through it.

Just after Elina went out to notify the vice headmistress, without wasting a single second, Aaron activated the teleportation rune paper given to him by the higher-ups of the Dark Mask organization. In an instant, he vanished, reappearing precisely where he intended to be.

Ordinary instructors were prohibited from teleporting within the academy's premises, if they do the grand array will swiftly detect any such attempt.

However, possessing a special instructor token granted them the privilege to bypass this restriction without encountering any issues.

Naturally, Aaron's original token had been confiscated. However, he managed to acquire Instructor Adam's token since they were both are working for the organization.

Having experienced a previous mission failure, Aaron was determined about his current mission assigned by the organization—to steal the a item called Miracle Stone, it was being guarded by the academy.

Upon gathering crucial intel about the stone's location and its protective measures, he cunningly devised a plan to execute the theft during the exam period.

With instructors occupied by the exam duties, the security surrounding the Miracle Stone or any other treasures in the academy would inevitably be lessened.

Using the skills of instructor Adam, he manipulated the dungeon settings to create a diversion. he was ok with it, even if it's only a brief distraction for Amber.

Prior to doing this all, he had evacuated important individuals like Adam from the academy who belong to the organisation, he also used a few sacrificial pawns to cause havoc in the academy, he commanded them just a moment before arriving here.

Finally reaching the location where the item was kept under guard, he stood before the entrance as he launched a powerful attack which shattered the door into pieces.

Stepping inside, his eyes fell upon two individuals stationed to protect a box that was kept on a stand as the box was glowing in a golden hue.

Without uttering a single word, the two guards swiftly lunged toward him, their movements accompanied by the release of their magic.

These were no ordinary mages; they were peak 6-Star mages. If an outsider were to see two peak level 6-Star mages were being used as a guards for a treasure, they would really question the value of that treasure.

With a swift dodge, Aaron evaded the oncoming attack of one of the mages. "Two peak 6-star mages, huh? Looks like I'll have to use that to end this quickly."

He muttered. As the words escaped his lips, a surge of demonic aura engulfed around him, than, a grotesque horn started growing on his head, his eyes suddenly turned red resembling those of a ferocious beast.
