'Did She already learn to do that? but how?'

Max thought in his mind as he watched Kathleen's actions.

In the middle of the battlefield, She stood at the same position not moving an Inch even after seeing that the tiger was running towards her.

'Alright, this is the only way that I can defeat my opponent. If this does not work I can only quit the battle.'

She thought in her mind and raised her sword, she held it with both her hands as her needle like pupils observed the tiger's movements.

[Dark Flame Magic - Flame Coating]

She muttered in her mind and Suddenly, Dark flames surged out from her hands as they engulfed the silver sword in whole.

'Th-this is working, Kathleen's main element is Darkness magic and one of her supportive elements was fire, as long as I can combine them, this should do the trick. No, from her memories, this girl had too much potential if only she could've used it properly, maybe I will try something new.' she thought in her mind as she closed her eyes.

The flaming tiger again jumped into the air from the distance. However, this time it opened it's mouth wide, showing its saber-tooth. A magical beast like flaming tiger's bite force is not something that could be taken lightly, as long as it gets to bite Kathleen's arm or leg, the next second it will be ripped apart.

Kathleen also opened her eyes revealing her Crystal clear dark pupils. As the tiger reached infront of her body, she also raised her Sword which was surrounded by dark flames and she slashed it at the tiger's neck.

As soon she muttered that inside her mind, the silver sword suddenly gained more momentum and her mana also changed from calm and soothing to a ferocious aura.

The tiger which was in the middle of air suddenly sensed danger, it's hair stood on it's end and it's instincts immediately warned it, that if it takes a direct hit from that sword it's death is imminent.

Suddenly changing it's trajectory in air by using its flames, it tried to dodge the attack, but with the speed of that sword, the attack is not something that can be dodged easily, especially when it was in the middle of air.

"Clank~"

When the tiger and the Sword collided, a clanking sound was heard as the black and red embers flown everywhere with the collusion of the both different types of flames.

However, Kathleen's sword failed to cut the tiger as the attack was received by one of the tiger's saber-tooth. But with the force of that attack, the tiger was sent flying just like Kathleen did a few minutes ago.

Kathleen landed on the ground while panting heavily.

'Huf, huf, that attack was powerful, but it almost emptied my mana. Well, rooky mistakes are normal in my first fight, right?' Thinking that she started to prepare for her next attack by gathering all of her remaining mana into her hands.

The tiger which was sent flying, fell on its back and rolled on the hard surface of the ground.

But soon it regained it's balance and stood on it's legs, one of its saber-tooth was missing, showing how lethal that sword move could've been if not for the teeth blocking it.

Growl~ Growl~

It growled while still stumbling on it's legs feeling the dizziness and pain from it's broken teeth that was hitting it now. However, unlike the last time when it roared with anger, the tiger now has a hint of fear in it's eyes after sensing the aura Kathleen released when she used her Sword technique.

The tiger felt like a superior creature is watching it from the sky, it only saw such type of aura once, and that was when it saw it's mother was hunting for food.

But even after being pushed back, it still wanted to crush the human infront of it, After seeing that the human girl infront of it was gathering mana to do an ultimate attack, the tiger also started to focus all of its mana towards it mouth.

Although it could attack the human girl while she was gathering mana, it's instincts told that it would be too dangerous to go near her after receiving that last attack.

The flames started to reseed back which are coming out from it's body, the tiger opened it's mouth as the mana travelled through its veins to it's mouth, a small crimson orb started to form in its mouth which was getting larger and larger as the more mana was poured into it.

Kathleen was also doing the same, she was trying to do another attack of the same technique she used a few seconds ago. While the strength behind her attacks was a bit low, she found out that she can use all the techniques that the original owner learned in her life more smoothly than drawing out her strength.

She opened her eyes suddenly as the black flames surged on to the tip of the silver sword, putting her right leg backwards and raising the sword, she took a sword stance, with the same speed she slashed her sword horizontally.

As her sword made a slashing move, a 'C' shaped slash was separated from her Sword and started moving towards the flaming tiger.

The Slash was created by the black flames but it was also mixed with a crimson coloured flames which made the attack even more dangerous.

The tiger's attack time also matched as it released the Crimson Orb from it's mouth, which was now grown to the size of a football.

The both attacks headed towards eachother with great Speed that neither Kathleen nor the tiger could even move so that they can be on the safe side.

Booooooooooom~

Both attacks were collided creating a great explosion, the smoke raised covering the whole area and the students couldn't distinguish the winner.

The bystanders who are watching the fight, suddenly fell silent after seeing Kathleen's last move.

People in the aurora world have many type of combat styles, for example, mages who mainly depends on the elemental magic and also mages who depends on the pure mana to execute powerful spells, Swordsman who uses mana and Sword techniques to Overpower their enemies.

However, there exists some people that can use sword techniques and also elemental magic with the same level of power, a branch of prodigies that are said to reach and accomplish many great things in the future.
