53 I DEFINITELY WARNED YOU !

Imperial city at dawn in Seren and Louis's apartment,

As soon as Seren entered the house at 6:15 am, she sensed a silhouette standing right in front of her. It was Louis. He should have been sleeping right now cause its early morning but here he was right in front of her as if he waiting for her to come back.

She asked him, " What is Mr. Edward doing here? Did you not sleep?".

Louis rubbed his tired eyes and replied to her, " Hmm. I was doing some office work".

Seren didn't say anything and just went on her way. Before she could enter the bedroom, Louis called her and asked, " Seren... you'll be taking a shower. Right?".

Seren turned back and only nodded only to hear him say, " Then let me know after you finished. I need to get some sleep".

Seren went inside without saying anything. Louis who was in the hall right now was feeling really sleepy and tired. It was as if when Seren was near him, he felt at ease and slept peacefully. He sat on the couch of the hall and laid down just to take a small rest while waiting for Seren.

After a few minutes, Seren came out from the bedroom as she finished her freshening up and was feeling refreshed. She entered the hall only to see Louis laying down on the couch with his eyes closed. She strode towards him and was about to call his name but suddenly she remembered the last night's incident when Louis brought dinner for both of them and the same way Louis closed his eyes leaning back on the couch.

She was staring at him intently as she thought, " How can this quack change so much in just a few seconds? What was that yesterday? What exactly is this guy?".

As she was looking at his face.... suddenly Louis opened his eyes and looked straight into hers as he commented, " I asked you to wake me up when you're done wifey..... not to stare at my handsome face when I'm sleeping".

Seren didn't reply as usual and just remained silent. She went towards the kitchen as she fetched some water to quench her thirst. Louis went to the bedroom and laid down on the bed..... ready to sleep. He thought that Seren would be sleeping with him too as she must've not had rest and was waiting for her to come but she was not coming. He got up again and came out of the bedroom and tried to look for her. As he went towards the study room, he saw Seren taking a look at some files.

Seren who noticed Louis came into the study room asked, " Do you need something Mr. Edward?".

Louis asked standing at the door, " What are you doing? Are you not sleeping?".

She replied, " I'm fine".

He asked her, " Where did you sleep last night?".

Seren replied, " I was with Lucas".

Lucas ! Lucas ! Again that Lucas. Louis was going insane now.

He said, " Seren who is this Lucas? Why are you staying with him at late night? Why are you always with that man? Is he that much important to you? Do you care for that man so much? Why don't you show a little of your care to your own husband?".

Louis said everything in one breath. He was really furious with the thought of Seren being with that man called Lucas late at night.

Seren replied, " Lucas is the child".

Louis a little flabbergasted asked, " huh?".

Seren repeated herself, " Lucas is the name of the child. I was with him last night after you left".

Louis felt guilty for questioning Seren but he was happy at the same time. He was grateful that Lucas was a little 11 year old boy and not a man. He said, " Is it? Oh.... I see".

Seren was confused as she thought, " Has this quack gone mad? Why is he behaving like this?".

She asked, " Do you need anything more Mr. Edward?".

Louis replied, " Oh. Let's sleep".

Seren was speechless. She had asked this man to not say things like that bluntly but he never listened to her.

Looking at Seren not replying anything back he said again, " Sleep for a little while. You must be tired too. You can do your work later".

Seren replied, " No. I'm fine. I even have to make breakfast after this".

Louis replied as he tucked his hands in the pockets of his pants, " I'm not going to office today, I have a day off. So we can have breakfast a little later from the usual time. Infact let's order the breakfast from outside today. We both need rest".

Seren rejected him, " I'm okay. Mr. Edward can go and take rest".

Louis said, " Wifey this is the last time I'm asking you to come with me otherwise I'll just carry you to the bedroom".

Seren didn't pay attention to him and just focused on the files she was reading. She didn't mind Louis at all. She was completely ignoring him cause right now her strategy was to avoid him at any cost. Louis was trying to just joke around but this woman didn't even spare him a glance. He thought that after teasing her a bit, she would listen to him like an obedient bunny but she was behaving as if he didn't exist for her.

Louis walked towards her and just picked up her bridal style. Seren was shocked due to Louis's sudden actions. She said, " Mr. Edward please put me down".

She was struggling to get out from his arms and was tossing but Louis didn't let her go. He said, " I definitely warned you but you ignored me. That is why you should've listened obediently to your caring husband".

He carried the stubborn fierce cat to the bedroom and then gently placed her on the bed.
