Then Felix said, "I am going to the bathroom," and Rowan and Athena both replied, "Okay."

Felix walked towards the bathroom when he overheard the professors talking. One of the professors said, "He is back."

Professor Nightshade responded, "I know. We have to be more careful. This could go wrong. The Beast—we need to kill it, but how?"

"Where?" another professor asked.

"Tomorrow at midnight," Professor Nightshade replied.

They all nodded, and Felix wondered, What monster? What is happening? Is someone going to destroy the school? Are we safe here?

Felix ran to the bathroom and closed the door.

When Felix entered the bathroom, he saw Lucian crying. Felix asked, "What's wrong?"

Lucian screamed, "Just leave me alone, will ya!" He wiped away his tears, opened the bathroom door, and ran out.

Felix thought, I need to know what happened. He ran after Lucian, but Lucian ran faster and screamed, "I told you to leave me alone!"

He enters the dorm and finds Athena and Rowan screaming at each other.

"I told you, Athena, you're 13! Don't act like a know-it-all!" Rowan shouts.

"I don't act like a know-it-all! I only say it's better not to burn things when you don't use them anymore!" Athena retorts.

Felix interjects, "Uh, hey."

They both turn to Felix, and Rowan asks, "Dude, why did it take you so long?"

Felix responds, "I saw Shadowvale crying."

Rowan and Athena exchange glances, then turn to Felix, shocked. They both exclaim, "What?!"

Athena exclaimed, "What? How? I've never seen a member of the Shadowvale family cry. My mom thought they were heartless!"

Rowan added, "My dad said he never saw a Shadowvale family member cry either, not even when the dragon killed many of their family members. They just stood still, and my dad didn't even see a single tear."

Rowan asked, "Are you sure you saw him crying?"

Felix replied, "Yes, I saw him crying! Do you think I'm lying or something?"

Athena said, "Maybe you're right, but what could the reason be?"

Felix responded, "I don't know. He ran when I tried to talk to him."

Athena said, "Hmm, maybe we shouldn't get too involved in family situations."

Then Felix added, "Oh yeah, I also heard the professors talking about a monster."

Athena and Rowan screamed in unison, "What?!"

Rowan stuttered, "M-monster?"

Athena asked, "Did they say what kind of monster?"

Felix replied, "Uh, no. They only said something like, 'He is back,' and mentioned they need to defeat the monster tomorrow at midnight."

Athena said, "We need to find out more about this monster before we do anything."

Rowan agreed, "Yeah, I think that's a good idea."

They all agreed to find more information about the monster. Athena researched all the information she could find about various monsters, while Felix and Rowan eavesdropped on the professors.

Later that night, Athena said goodbye and went to her own dorm. Rowan and Felix cast a spell to ensure that only Athena could enter their room. They wanted to be as safe as possible in case the monster showed up.

Felix and Rowan woke up to the sound of someone screaming. They recognized the voice—it was Athena. Still in their pajamas, they ran towards the voice to find Athena and Lucian both yelling at a girl. Lucian looked angrier than Athena.

Lucian screamed, "HOW DARE YOU! GIVE IT BACK NOW!"

Athena added, "WE KNOW YOU TOOK IT! WE SAW IT ON THE SECURITY CAMERA! GIVE IT BACK!"

Both Athena and Lucian drew their wands, and the girl looked terrified.

A professor came over and said, "We saw you steal Athena's night books and Lucian's magic board."

"We don't tolerate stealing from housemates, and we absolutely don't tolerate stealing from other houses. I'm sorry to do this, but 'Restituo Vindicta Expellere!'"

With those words, Athena's books and Lucian's magic board flew back to them.

The girl, looking scared, apologized, "Professor, I'm sorry..."

But the professor interrupted firmly, "Transfero Domus Vestimentum!"

With those words, a shimmering light enveloped the girl and her clothes, whisking them away to her own house.

Her mother, shocked and angry, exclaimed, "Elemanda, what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be at school?"

Just then, an owl swooped in, carrying a message. The mother read it aloud, her voice trembling with disbelief, "Elemanda Rise is expelled!"

Elemanda hung her head in shame as her mother's disappointment filled the room.

Athena's relieved expression transformed into a happy one as she hugged her books tightly. Lucian's angry expression softened back into his usual glare as he left without a word, only nodding in thanks to the professor.

The professor left for the professors' room, leaving the students alone. Rowan turned to Athena and asked, "What happened?"

Athena sighed before explaining, "Yesterday, while I was reading about the monster, I noticed my nightbook was missing. Lucian was also angry because his magic board disappeared. We were both worried, so we decided to inform the professors when we woke up. Upon doing so, the professor suggested we check the security camera footage. That's when we saw a girl flying to our dorms and taking our stuff. We were furious, so we searched her information ID and found out who did it."

"We were really angry. When Professor Nightshade saw it, she looked even angrier than we were. She decided to take action about it, and that's why this happened."

Felix remarked, "Well, at least you guys have your stuff back." Athena agreed, saying, "Yeah, at least we have it back." Rowan suggested, "Well, Felix, I think we need to change our clothes." Felix responded, "Oh yeah, true." They hurried to their room. Athena called out, "Okay! I'll save a seat for you two!" Felix and Rowan shouted back, "OKAY, SEE YOU LATER

"After finishing their changes, they walked towards the canteen, where they saw a lot of people again. Suddenly, they heard Athena screaming, 'GUYS, I AM HERE!' They both ran to her, but as they did, two people bumped into them, causing them to fall. One of them noticed Felix's mark on his arm.

'Oh, you guys are from Emberforge,' the person said. The boy sneered, 'Well, well, if it isn't the Emberforge losers.'

Rowan stood up, and Felix followed suit. Rowan crossed his arms and replied, 'Just because we're from different houses doesn't mean you have to be mean.'

Both the girl and the boy laughed. 'Who gave you permission to talk to us like that?' the boy taunted.

Just then, they heard Lucian screaming, 'Merrsian! Brizz! BOTH COME HERE NOW!'

Brizz smirked at them and said, 'You're lucky for now.'

Merrsian added, 'Yeah, next time we'll get you guys.'"

"And then Merrsian and Brizz went to Lucian. Rowan was about to scream out their problem when Felix interjected, 'Yeah, seriously, we did nothing wrong!'

They sat at Athena's table, their faces filled with anger. Athena asked, 'Okay, what's up with you guys?'

Felix reacted, 'Brizz and Merrsian were being mean.'

Athena exclaimed, 'The Moon twins?'

'Huh?' Felix and Rowan screamed.

'Brizz and Merrsian, the Moon twins,' Athena clarified. 'They're the son and daughter of Apollo Moon, their father, and Lyra Moon, their mother.'"

Athena continued, "They're also one of the closest families to the Shadowvale. They're known because of their connection to the Shadowvale family. Each generation of the Moon family members are friends with one of the Shadowvale."

Athena continued, "They're also one of the closest families to the Shadowvale. They're known because of their connection to the Shadowvale family. Each generation of the Moon family members are friends with one of the Shadowvale."

"Wow," Felix exclaimed.

"Cool," Rowan added.

Then Felix interjected, "Wait, wait, wait! My mom doesn't know I'm here yet. She needs to know! She needs to know!"

Just then, Professor Nightshade arrived. "Don't worry about that, Mr. Ravenwood. I have everything under control."

Felix asked anxiously, "Does she know I'm here?"

Professor Nightshade hesitated before replying, "Uh, well, sort of..."

Felix asked, puzzled, "What do you mean, 'sort of'?"

Miss Nightshade hesitated before answering, "Well, uh, about that... You know, I said you were in school, but I didn't specify that it was a magic school."

Felix couldn't contain his shock. "WHAT? WHY NOT?"

Miss. Nightshade stepped in, saying, "Well, do you want me to say, 'Hey, Miss Ravenwood, your son is in the magic school because we chose him to be here, but I also called out his last name, where he followed me into a magic school, collapsed, and now has a house and something on his arms to show he is an Emberforge, and a dragon followed him, but don't you worry, he's alright'?"

Miss Nightshade asked, "Do you want me to say that to your mother?"

Felix thought about it for a moment, then replied, "No, you're right..."

"And then Miss Nightshade said, 'Well, prepare yourself for your next class,'" Felix continued.

With a wave of her hand, Miss Nightshade cast a spell. Then, she took a seat at the professors' table.

Athena chimed in, "Well, doesn't your mother know about...?"
