Lucian was lost in his thoughts and didn't even notice when he fell asleep. When he half-opened his eyes, Professor Nightshade was standing in front of him. He fully opened his eyes and looked a little confused about why she was there. Then it hit him—he thought, does she see my scars right now?

Professor Nightshade said, "Yes, yes I see them."

Lucian then thought, did I say that out loud? I thought I said that in my head.

Professor Nightshade replied, "You were actually thinking it, Lucian. How do you think I know what most of my students are doing without reading their minds? Did I not announce that at the beginning of the school? I'm pretty sure I said, 'Don't try to hide something from me. I can read your thoughts and find it out pretty soon.'"

Lucian then said, "Was that not a joke?"

Professor Nightshade replied, "Do I look like a professor who makes jokes?"

Lucian said, "I actually don't know."

Professor Nightshade replied, "Never mind. I have kept an eye on you. I tracked you and saw that you were not in the school. Don't you know how worried I was? I teleported you back into the school."

Lucian then said, "W- was that you?"

Professor Nightshade nodded and said, "Did you really think your powers were strong enough to teleport? Lucian, you are a first year."

Lucian replied, "That actually sounds more logical. I really thought it was my spell."

Professor Nightshade sighed and said, "Lucian, what were you even thinking? And don't try to lie to me! I know you wanted to go to America. I actually thought you would be in mix class, so to not upset you more, I got your favorite object for mix class. I even told the teachers to let only you use it!"

Lucian then said, "Well, even though you said that, they still don't even remember me! No teacher cares about me," Lucian said, trying to fight back the tears.

Professor Nightshade saw herself in him, remembering how, when she was younger, the professors did not care about her either. But look how far she had come—almost the headmistress of the school. She had vowed never to let any of her students feel the same way, but she had failed with Lucian. If only she could make him see that he was not invisible, that he should have come to her sooner.

She finally replied, "Is that really so?"

Lucian nodded. Professor Nightshade clenched her jaw in frustration. She never wanted one of her students to feel so overlooked. She never meant to make one of her students feel unimportant. She felt both sorry and angry.

She then extended her hand to help him up and said, "Come, we have to teach the teachers that you are not invisible."

Lucian wiped a tear and asked, "How?"

Professor Nightshade said, "I know this is not one of my best skills, but people your age call it, um, a 'prank.' Yes, we're going to prank them good, so they will never ever forget you."

Lucian laughed and followed the professor.

Meanwhile, Athena was waiting and waiting. Finally, Rowan came in and said, "I am so sorry. Thorn and Frost were screaming at each other, and it was so funny that I stayed longer. It looked like they were flirting, but Thorn always flirts with random people, so hm."

Then Felix came in, and Athena said, "Let me guess, Thorn and Frost?"

Felix said, "No, I was checking something for Lucian..."

Felix then thought it wasn't smart to mention Lucian, but he had already said most of it, so there was no going back. "Lucian," he said.

Athena and Rowan both screamed, "What?"

Rowan, in a questioning way, said, "What did you do for him?"

Athena, also curious, asked, "Yes, what did you do for him? Did he blackmail you into doing that?"

Rowan added, "Or did he force you to?"

Felix said, "Guys! I was only checking if what he said was true or not, and no, he did not blackmail me."

Athena crossed her arms over her chest and said, "Yeah, sure."

Rowan said, "Mate, do you really think we believe that sad excuse?"

Athena added, "Yeah, who do you think we are? We know when you're lying."

Felix thought, "Did they find out about what? Am I really that easy to read, or do they just know every move of mine?"

Athena said, "Felix, we are your best friends. Why keep secrets from us?"

Felix replied, "I literally told you guys what I did!"

Athena retorted, "But you didn't explain why."

Felix, out of anger, said, "Because it's something secret that is none of your business! Athena, you always think you should know everything about everyone, but the truth is you shouldn't! Stop telling everyone what they need to do, Athena! You are not higher than everyone else."

Athena started to tear up and said, "I don't think I'm higher than everyone!" Then she ran away.

Rowan said, "Mate, I get why you're saying that because sometimes I think the same. She does, but that was too harsh!"

Rowan ran after Athena, who was still crying. Everyone saw them and Felix standing there, whispering. Felix said, "Bloody hell, it's not my fault she can't mind her own business!" He then stood up and went to his room, thinking about what Rowan said. Was he too mean to her?

Meanwhile, with Professor Nightshade and Lucian, Professor Nightshade said, "The saliva of the fire dragon."

Lucian said, "Check."

Professor Nightshade continued, "The hair of a water lion."

Lucian then said, "Yeah, and why do we need that? The hair was hard to find on a water lion."

Professor Nightshade said, "Of course, because they are water lions. I was actually surprised this one had it."

Lucian looked at her and said, "What do you mean you were surprised?"

Professor Nightshade then said, "Oh, did I not tell you? It was actually a prank when I told you to get it."

Lucian said, "What?"

Professor Nightshade then said, "Okay, okay, I get it if you're angry at me, but we are going to use it anyway for a more watery effect."

Lucian rolled his eyes and said, "Fine."
