The witch pondered before responding, "They love sweets, especially Rom Rom chocolates."

"Can I buy the Rom Rom chocolates?" Thorn asked.

"Sure, 9 murs," the witch answered.

"9 murs?" Thorn almost screamed. The witch nodded. Thorn sighed, took the murs coins from his pocket, and handed them over. He took the chocolates, mounted his broom, and flew back to the academy.

As he landed, he noticed many people whispering. A girl approached him with two friends flanking her. "Are you Thorn?" she asked.

"Yes," Thorn replied. The three girls giggled, but then Athena came walking towards Thorn, practically screaming, "Thorn, tell Frost to come over here! We're both going to fail mix class!"

"Calm down," Thorn said.

"Don't tell me to calm down! We need to pass this class!" Athena retorted.

Thorn rolled his eyes and said, "I'll see what I can do."

The girl said, "Uhm, excuse me, who gave you permission to talk to Thorn like that?"

Athena turned around, crossing her arms over her chest, and said, "Look, I don't know who you are, and I don't care, but I warn you, if you talk to me like that again, I will make sure you never talk again." She walked away, and Thorn followed, not looking back at the girls' angry faces.

When Thorn arrived at his dorm, he took a deep breath and muttered to himself, "Breathe in, breathe out." He opened the door and, of course, found Evander in the dark room, reading a book by a small light.

Thorn said, "Hey."

Evander didn't react, so Thorn repeated, "Hey..." Still no reaction. Thorn turned on the main light and said, "Listen, asshole I'm trying to be polite here, and you're not even saying hey back."

Evander continued reading his book, seemingly ignoring him. Then, suddenly, Evander said, "Hey."

Thorn began, "So, I bought you Rom Rom chocolates."

Evander looked at him weirdly. Thorn noticed the chocolates were heart-shaped and quickly added, "I bought it to say sorry for earlier. I'm not planning to ask you out or anything."

Evander replied, "I already thought if you would, it would be weird." Thorn nodded in agreement and handed him the chocolates.

"Thank you," Evander said.

Thorn smiled and said, "It's no problem."

Evander stood up and hugged Thorn, then whispered, "If I hear you told anyone that I hugged you, you're so dead."

Thorn replied, "Don't worry, I won't."

Evander began to open the chocolates and eat some. Thorn then said, "Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Athena mentioned something about the mix room. If you don't get there on time, I'm 100% sure she's going to kill you."

Evander said, "I actually don't care, and don't think we're friends just because I hugged you."

Thorn rolled his eyes and said, "I don't even want to think about it."

Thorn sighed and muttered to himself, "Why can't I ever have some rest?" He stood up and opened the door when Felix and Rowan came running towards his dorm, knocking and screaming, "Thorn, open your door!"

Thorn let them in, closed the door, and looked at Felix and Rowan with annoyance. "What the bloody hell?"

Felix explained, "We were mixing potions in mix class, right?" Rowan nodded in agreement. "Well, things went wrong, and it exploded."

Thorn raised an eyebrow. "That doesn't explain why that monster is here."

Rowan added, "We were at Owi Chicken, and everybody was supposed to make the chickens smaller. But we made them big. That's why there's a running chicken..."

Athena came running and said, "Open it!" Thorn walked and opened the door. Athena exclaimed, "What in Owi was that Owi Chicken?" Thorn looked at Rowan and Felix, who were avoiding eye contact, and replied, "It was them."

Felix cursed, "Damn it! Why'd you have to say that?"

Thorn retorted, "It was obvious. You guys are the only ones who could turn a simple task into a chicken mistake." Athena chuckled, but it fell flat. Thorn rolled his eyes as Athena kicked him.

Athena said, "What are we waiting for? We need to make a plan to fix the chicken."

Felix agreed, "Yeah, we need to think of something."

Thorn suggested, "What if we ask Frost?"

Felix scoffed, "He's never gonna help us!"

Athena nodded, "Sorry, but I have to agree with Felix."

Rowan chimed in, "Yeah, why would he help us?"

Thorn persisted, "Guys, he probably has a good side too."

Athena said, "Thorn, are you sick or something? Do I have to call Professor Nightshade because you're out of your mind? Don't forget he's a Frost."

Thorn replied, "I didn't forget he's a Frost, but I mean he's good in mix class. He knows his potions."

Athena retorted, "So do we. We don't need him."

Thorn shrugged and said, "Well, whatever. If something goes wrong, don't tell me I didn't warn you guys."

They sat on the bed, and Felix said, "Okay, so Rowan is going to make the chicken mad."

Rowan groaned, "Why is it always me?"

Felix continued, "And Athena is going to rush to the mix class and make the potion."

Athena nodded, and Felix went on, "Thorn, you're going to try to keep us out of the professor's attention. If they find out about this, we'll all get detention."

Thorn asked, "Why do we even have detention? We're staying here anyway."

Athena explained, "Well, yeah, in our free time. So we can't go to Mimi's or hold a broom race."

Thorn added, "We can after detention."

Athena thought for a second and then said, "I still think it's logical."

Thorn replied, "Well, I don't think so."

Felix said, "Let's not fight now since we still need to fight the chicken."

Rowan agreed, "Yeah, guys, focus."

They both looked at each other, and Rowan remarked, "Wow, did we just say that?"

Felix confirmed, "Yeah, we did, and it felt good to be the one saying that."

Athena and Thorn chimed in, "Yeah, enjoy it as long as you can."

Rowan added, "We're already enjoying it now."

Felix agreed, "Yeah, we are."
