The alpha I want to thank

Even though the man obviously realized Li Haoyu had troubles uttering words, he neither gave a reaction or said a single word to the young omega.

Instead, the man only made a call to someone whom Li Haoyu guessed to be a physician.

And his hunch was right. Half an hour later, a doctor showed up and gave him some medical check-up.

"There's no need to worry. It's only temporary. This is simply because you just experienced some minor trauma.

After a month or two, you should be able to talk properly again. "

It was what the doctor said..

Some minor trauma....

How could that incident leave just a minor trauma to him?

But, Li Haoyu was more curious as to how this physician knew he had gone through such bad things. Was it that handsome man with a cold expression who told everything?

Li Haoyu had no idea.

From that day on, the physician always made sure to come and give a check-up on him every morning. A woman in her forties who seemed to be a servant in this mansion regularly came to his room and serve him meals.

But, the handsome man he saw on his first day of gaining consciousness, was nowhere to be seen. And, that man never came to visit him.

The young omega would occasionally be allowed to go for a walk in the mansion's garden. Even by then, Li Haoyu never managed to catch a glimpse of that man.

According to the woman who had been nursing him all along, Li Haoyu found out that, that handsome man was the owner of the mansion, an alpha, and also the one who saved him from those kidnappers.

Li Haoyu had been looking forward to a chance to thank him. But, the other never showed up as if he was deliberately trying to avoid him.

'Can't believe I've lost my way not in the middle of a forest but in a mansion...'

The young omega was now walking along a big hallway. He had checked every single room in the hallway in hope of finding someone who could help him.

But, in this part of hallway, there's just no trace of a person or a servant.

"You shouldn't wander recklessly in a stranger's house. "

A voice resounded behind him and Li Haoyu reflexively turned around.

Relaxedly folding his arms and standing in front of a doorway of a room which the young omega just checked, was a man with striking yet cold facial features.

His eyes were as cold as ice. They lacked in emotions as if they didn't belong to a living person at all.

It was that man Li Haoyu saw on his first day of gaining consciousness in this mansion.

"Especially in the house of an alpha.... "

Getting stared at by those cold hazel eyes, Li Haoyu almost forgot to breathe. His body turned stiff.

The young omega just couldn't understand himself anymore. Shouldn't he be feeling glad now that he finally got to meet this man?

Since he couldn't speak properly, he'd even been writing small notes and carrying them on his body so that if this man happened to check in on him one day, he could readily give them to this alpha and showed his gratitude for him.

But, what's with this reaction right now? Why was he getting scared and stiff.

"Don't get lost again. Follow me."

Fidgeting his fingers in nervousness, the young omega obediently followed the man.

An alpha....

If it wasn't for that nurse who mentioned this man was an alpha, Li Haoyu wouldn't have realized it up until now. There's just no scent of pheromone coming from this man at all.

An alpha with no scent....

There were only two possibilities. This man had to be either a recessive alpha with little to no pheromone scent or...

a noble one who could hide his scent completely.

*Li Haoyu's POV*

"Young master, my apologies. I shouldn't have left this young guest in the study room alone.

I should have paid more attention. I'm sorry, young master. "

The alpha dropped a casual glance at me. Under his cold eyes, I could only lower my head and uttered a word.

"Sorry"

Yeah.... I could finally say short words or phrases like 'sorry' at least, thanks to all the treatment this alpha had been arranging for me.

It's been almost a week since I'm here. My days here were pretty boring with no one to talk to except for the nurse.

So I asked her for some books to read. Unexpectedly, she told me that there's an old library in this mansion which her alpha young master didn't use anymore and that it should be okay for me to pick up some books there.

After leaving me in the library, the nurse didn't come back any time soon. The night was getting darker. And, since I felt scared to stay in such a deserted room alone, I decided to go back to my room by myself. Albeit unfortunately, I only ended up losing my way there.

But, now that I finally got to see this alpha, I guess it's all worth after all. This should be a blessing in disguise.

In fact, as my injuries have already recovered, I'm already considering about leaving since yesterday.

But, before I leave, I still wanna say some words of thanks to this alpha.

To show my gratitude was not the only reason I wanted to see him. I just have so many questions to ask him..... like how did he save me? What happened to those kidnappers? Did they escape? And what about...my father's corpse...

But, right now, I'm not sure if I should even ask those questions anymore. This alpha didn't seem like he would even bother to answer at all. It's unbelievable how such a cold alpha bothered to save me though.

"Don't let it happen again. "

The old nurse apologized again and again. This made me wonder if I should also follow suit and apologize as well.

At that moment, the alpha turned around to leave. Almost immediately, I reached out to grab the corner of his coat with my right hand.

The alpha's cold eyes landed on me.

I took out a pen, quickly wrote some words down on a small note book and showed it to the alpha.

[ Can I talk to you for a moment? ]

He didn't respond immediately that I almost thought he was going to reject me. But then, he said those words.

"Have you already had dinner? "
