Kaylin didn't want to tell the truth, she said, "I called—"

Frankie didn't want to hear her lies. He said, "I should check the call logs."

"Frankie—" Kaylin mumbled.

He raised his hand to stop her from explaining. His green eyes flashed with anger when he saw the number on the screen. He huffed, "Hmph, Mrs. Case? Would they dare to help you escape? Who is it, Ashton? Sam? Erin? Or even their housekeeper? Their maidservant? The driver? The cook?"

Kaylin said carefully, "Frankie, I was just making a general phone call. I didn't mean anything by it!"

"Did you need to hide in the closet if it was just a random call? Do you think I'm deaf? Do you need me to repeat your conversation with Ashton?" Frankie asked.
