Chapter 52 Malicious Advice

Kaylin felt a warm force flow into her body from Frankie's palm. The pain faded away as her stomach began to relax. She wasn't breaking out in a cold sweat anymore, and the colour returned to her pale face.

"Kaylin, how do you feel? Does it still hurt?" Frankie asked.

"Thanks," Kaylin said.

She held his hand to stop him from pouring more energy into her. Although her body hadn't processed his energy yet, she found an unprecedented sense of security in his arms—as if she didn't need to fear anything even if the world collapsed around her.

Frankie felt a sharp pain in his heart. She actually thanked him? His Adam's apple bobbed as he swallowed, but he didn't say anything.
