Chapter 51 Wounds

Eldrich sat in silence, watching Sienna as she played with Chloe's hair in deep thought. Though the two had exchanged many words, talking and chatting like they used to, a quarter of the time was spent in silence as they listened to the heartbeat of their other child that was still living. Eldrich had finally, after a lot of struggle, officially adopted Chloe under the condition she wouldn't take over unless there were no more heirs. Though the paperwork had been done for a while now, Eldrich and Sienna absolutely certain that they wanted custody of Chloe, it still had to be approved by the council who were quite reluctant. However, after hearing about the loss of Jaemin, they made an exception and agreed for the first official child of the two, to be Chloe.
