The silence inside the Dela Cerna mansion has been deafening since Luke returned to America. I only pay attention to household chores like helping to clean the entire mansion that will take two days to finish because of its wide and must be polished according to Mother Marta. Sometimes I help Mang Ador in the farm planting vegetables and fruits all day. And by night I was lying on the bed because of exhaustion. Sometimes when I don't do much in the morning I can't sleep at night so I just hang out in the garden where there are many fireflies around a big tree as if that is their home. It is very beautiful to see them carrying their lights that illuminate the darkness.

Months passed.

"Hi loves how are you?" Luke asked me. We're doing video calls now, we always do that when we're not busy. Even though he is not by my side every day I can talk and see him even though this is the set up between the two of us, I am happy.

Sometimes I feel sad when I think about him and I can't help doubting either. You can't blame me because we know he's far away.

"I'm not okay loves" he lazily answered me

"Why?"

"I have many things to do. I need to make a research paper next week and later we will interview a businessman who is now facing his company down. My head hurts now"

"Ahm loves, I'm going outside first, my interview partner is waiting for me." he said to me as he prepared his things.

"Alright loves, I need to serve food to Mang Adors as well"

I didn't finish speaking because he end the call but that's okay, he's really busy. Too bad my loves seem to stay awake all the time.

Luke and I always have this daily routine. If he doesn't have school, he will call me. I help at home and on the farm. I hope the day goes by fast and Luke comes home, I miss him. I miss his grumpy face.
