1 Chapter 1:Fate?

Life hadn't being really fair to Jane, as an orphan girl who was left alone to this very cruel world at a young age of 12, she had done all that was in her power to survive. Thinking that things couldn't get any worst, she had just found out today that she was 3 months pregnant, she barely has enough money for a comfortable life, how was she going to bring a child to this world. "I still live with Adams(her boyfriend) and our little income put together is bearly enough money for our daily needs, no I can bring this child to this world" she thought to herself, Jane was soo deep in thought that she didn't know when someone sat down next to her. "Hello" a feminine soft voice brought Jane out of her thought, she looked beside her and saw a beautiful woman with a big smile on her face, she noticed she was heavily pregnant, "hi" Jane responded to her, she noticed they seemed to be in the same age bracket. "I am Faith", the lady said to Jane with a smile, Jane found Faith comfortable to talk to and her smile eased her heart, "nice to meet you Faith, my name is Jane" she said to her, "nice to meet you too" Faith said.

After a while the bus started to move and when suddenly Jane noticed the Faith's face was starting to look pale and she looked like she was in pain, so she asked her if she was alright, "I am on my way to the city hospital because tomorrow is my due date but I feel like my water will break soon" Faith repiled with so much difficulty, "I doubt you are going to make it to the city hospital in time because you look like you are in so much pain"." What can I do i don't have a relative or friends around" Faith said with tears in her eyes.

Jane was tensed and confused,she looked at Faith and her heart was pained she really wanted to help her, so she told her " just calm down try to breath, I am getting down on the next stop which is less than five minutes aways and there is a hospital close by, we will go there and get you checked in and call your family okay? ", Faith nodded her head managed to smile and said thank you to her. Jane decided to massage Faith's waist to make her comfortable till they got to the bus stop.

Jane alighted the bus while supporting Faith and they took a taxi to a hospital close by,immediately they got out of the taxi, Faith's water broke, Jane was so tensed but she managed to get Faith into the hospital and the nurses rushed her into the operation room because she was fully dilated and was in so much pain. When Jane was sure she was being attended to she checked her in with the only money with her, that was the money she wanted to use for her abortion. After much thoughts she called the number Faith had given her as her husband's number to inform him about her condition and the hospital they were at.

Few minutes later, the nurses came to inform Jane that Faith had given birth to a baby boy, she was so over joyed and rushed into the room to see the baby, the baby was so beautiful and was wrapped in a white cloth, she took the clothes Faith had packed for the baby and put it on for him, he was the most beautiful baby she had ever seen and her heart soften, she took the baby to Faith and Faith smiled" congratulations " Jane told her, thank you she repiled with tears in her eyes, Jane hugged her and the baby started crying, our little Prince is hungry Jane said and they both laughed." He is so healthy and handsome, he should be called Alexander " Jane said playfully, Faith smiled and said, " how did you know I liked that name?" and they both smiled at each other .

While Faith was feeding the baby, Jane looked at them, smiled and unconsciously placed her hand on her stomach, Faith noticed and asked her" are you pregnant? ". Tears fell from Jane eyes and she nodded," I was thinking of giving rid of it because I have no money to take care of it" she said feeling very ashamed,"oooh, it's nothing to be ashamed of, fear happens to the best of us, I won't ask you not to get rid of it but I want you to promise me something," what is that Jane asked looking very surprised, " promise me that if you decide to keep the baby, our kids will be best of friends " Jane laughed with tears in her eyes and said" of course, even closer than brothers or sisters "." And if it's a girl she can even get married to my baby boy some day, oooh how I pray it's a girl " Faith said and they both laughed.

After talking for a little while , Faith slept because she was really exhausted and Jane put the baby to sleep and went out to get food for Faith so she could eat when she got back.

By the time got back with the food, the hospital informed her that Faith has being discharge by her husband, Jane felt very sad, she wished she had said her good bye to both Faith and the baby. She was about leaving the hospital when the nurse called her back and handed her an envelope saying that Faith had left a letter for her, she took it and was happy that she remembered to say her goodbye to her.

She decided to read the letter when she got home, on getting home, she took out the envelope contained a letter that read;

When I entered that bus this morning, the baby in my stomach leaped for joy after seeing you and I felt at peace with you, thank you for taking care of myself and Alexander we are really greatful. I would love it if you give birth to your baby because thinking about it now, my little Alexander probably leaped for joy because he felt a connection to the baby in you but I won't pressure you. Thank you for being an Angel to I and my baby, I wanted to wait and say goodbye to you but there was a family emergency. The other paper in the envelope is something small to say thank you, I really hope we meet soonest.

Jane read the letter with tears in her eyes, she then put her hand in the envelope and brought out the second paper, it was a check of $5 Millions, she couldn't believe her eyes and she bursted out in tears.
