The Patient In Room 12

Vivian's parents were happy to see that she woke up with a lot of energy, which means that they can do a lot of things with her before she leaves them. they will try as best as they can to make her remaining time with them memorable for her.

While holding Vivian's hands which she was waving at them with, Mr. Swift said "Am happy you are alright and energized dear."

Vivian smile more widely at her parent after seeing the strong and happy faces they are putting up in front of her despite everything that is happening, "So mom and dad let's talk about lifestyle today, but we are going to start with you two," Vivian said to her parents with her smiley face.

"Me and your mom?" Mr. Swift said and asked when he didn't understand what Vivian was referring to.

"OK... What I mean here is that we are going to talk about different kinds of things right now but we will start with the story of how both you and mom grew up." Vivian explained to her dad for him to understand their point.

Since she wants to make use of the time she has left to make more good memories with her parents, the first thing she wants to do is to know how her parents survived before getting married and having her.

"Oh! Okay, then we will tell you, dear. Edwin let's begin." Mrs. Swift said after understanding Vivian's explanation with a smile and excitement on her face. she gets where her daughter is going, the girl wants to know all about their childhood and she is so excited to tell her all of it. the ups and downs of life that they have been through.

The Swift family made themselves comfortable on Vivian's hospital bed since it was spacious enough to accommodate all three of them.

they both are ready to dive into their past and give their child the story she wants to hear.

"OK, come on dad you start first. I can't wait to hear both of your stories, Said Vivian with a bright smile place on her intrigued face.

"OK, dear first of all," Mr. Swift starts

Then continued, "your mom and I grew up in the same orphanage and-"

Before he can continue Vivian interrupted him, "OK, you guys grow up in the same orphanage but then tell me, how did you two meet in the orphanage?" she asked impatiently.

Her father frowns not understanding what her question is again. his child is talking in riddles, not now because he is not getting her.

Mrs. Swift who had an understanding of Vivian's question spoke, "What she means dear by how did we two meet in the orphanage is, which one amongst the two of us saw the other first."

"Right baby?" She added while smiling at Vivian.

"Of course, mom that's what I mean, you see dad mom understands me better than you," Vivian said while looking at her father with a pout on her face.

"Ok! Ok! Am sorry, it won't happen again, I will try to understand you and your next questions better from now on." Mr. Swift said to Vivian while holding both his hands on his two ears while looking at his daughter.

"Please!" He added. Which made both Vivian and her mother laugh out loud at his cute behavior.

'This might be the last smile and laughter you will give us' Mr. Swift said in his mind which made the earlier sad expression that he made while apologizing to Vivian deepens. He knows he must stop being emotional or else Vivian might realize something is wrong or worse he might even end up spoiling this moment for his family. And he smiled at the two of them too.

"OK! OK! OK! You are forgiven now

please continue dad," said Vivian and urge him to continue. he is apologizing so sure right now, he just looks so cute. her handsome old man!

"Of course angel." Replied her father.

Then he continued, "I was already in the orphanage before your mom was brought."

"How old were you then dad?" Vivian curiously asks her father. wow, he was at the orphanage before her mom.

"I was around nine years by that time." Mr. Swift replied to Vivian's question.

And he continues before Vivian could ask him her next question. "And your mom was around five years at that time." she was so chubby back then, she used to eat a lot and has gained lots of fat on her cheeks. her cheeks were so Chunky back then, she will be walking around and playing and you will see as she moves with her chubby body, everyone used to stare at her when she was brought but after some time passed and everyone also got used to her presence. no one used to do it anymore. they all stopped and she also blended among us too.

We were the oldest once, me, Robert, Patrick, Samson, and the others. we were six in number that was older than the rest at that time and we were the older brothers of everyone. we all took care of the rest along with aunt Claudia and the rest. we all made sure to work hard in school so we can become successful to boom one another in the future and we did, all of us were successful in achieving our dreams.

Today I am a successful businessman and Robert, Patrick and the rest are also doing successfully. the rest are working with us as well taking forward what we build to the next level for all of us because only we understand what unity is and how poverty was back then.

We are all successful in whatever we are doing and we have ourselves to thank for all this.

We were each other's strength and we fought to make it to where we are now and also by keeping in mind all that was taught to us by those that raised us. and amongst all this, dear, honesty is number one and we make sure to uphold it.

We took life with honor and uphold the dignity of our Saviors by following the path they had shown us and taught us all. it was our way of proving to them how much we value them and all they had done for us throughout those years. and we are happy and proud of ourselves because we made them proud and not only that but also took the orphanage to its highest. now it's better and can do more of what it has done before.
