52 A Magician's Might

Fuyuki, Japan,

Shinto District,

"....Hmmmm..... Am I supposed to panic here?" Roman put a hand on his chin, a small smile on his face as he gazed on those around him at that moment. A bit of backup planning for possible threats ensured he knew full well that his maid, Thea, was in grave danger....., "Is someone actively trying to sabotage poor me here?"

It sure as hell did seem like that to him.

"Well, that aside...." It seemed that the Magician wasn't much bothered by his current predicament, fixing his coat as his posture became upright as opposed to earlier, when he'd been using a cane. He placed a hand over his head, a fedora appearing out of thin air and pointed the other hand at Okita,

"You, I'll deal with you later."

With that, he snapped his fingers, vanishing into thin air under the shocked gaze Kiritsugu... Actual Teleportation was a feat considered completely impossible! The Magus Killer looked towards his own servant for confirmation, "That was..."

"It wasn't speed." Artoria nodded her head, tightening her grip on Excalibur, he had indeed vanished.. or moved fast enough that even she couldn't perceive the movement. The latter had a rather low chance of actually being the case.

"....." Kiritsugu looked at the sky with dull eyes, how much damage would a serious Magician cause?

The only other known one occupied a position where none would dare to even raise a brow to him and for good reason too.

Okita Souji looked at Roman's prior position only for a moment before shooting off in the direction of his mansion, already notified of his position by her superior. With Rengoku already drawn, the Counter Guardian leapt from building to building, leaving a trail of supersonic explosions in her wake.

"She gone?.... Pft-" Roman sneered, a hand on his stomach as he laughed... Only a good few moments later did he stop and address the once again surprised Magus Killer, "Yo Kiritsugu."

"....Why not battle her yourself?" Artoria asked incredulously, relaxing the slightest bit but still on guard in case he decided to attack them next.

"Nahh... Fighting is something I'd not do myself. It's just banal savagery in this day and age." Roman raised both his hands, shrugging as if he had no care in the world... "Still though..... I admit this does irk me.... Useless cunts with nothing to do but ruin other's days.... Gilgamesh needs to stop begging others for the attention his parents never gave him."

The Magician held out his hands to either side, his magical energy fluctuating as a massive portion of it was syphoned towards his palms.... Closing his eyes, Roman closed both hands, "Kiritsugu dear, a bit of a pop quiz. What happens when gravity is reversed?"

"Repulsion?"

"What happens when you multiply the intensity of this force, repulsion, by millions of times and direct it forward, giving it an epicentre of course?"

"Roman....no."

"Roman..... Yes."

He'd had just about enough of people ignoring him completely and thinking that they could get away with tampering with that which he treasured... Roman Trambelio brought together both hands as thunder flashed across the sky and Kiritsugu made a desperate attempt at disrupting what he was about to do.

With visible difficulty, under the confused gaze of Artoria, Roman Trambelio brought together both hands, and then diverted the force generated to go straight ahead, in the general direction of the King of Heroes.....

"I'm not done yet." Roman mused, holding out an open hand before pressing down, "Good luck with dealing earth's gravity to the power of a million, Goldie." The Magician put his other hand in the pocket of his coat, grinning widely.

The next thing anyone saw, was a massive chunk of the Earth quite literally ripped apart by a force none could see, it was torn to shreds along with everything on it then, infrastructure, plants, vehicles, technological appliances, houses, exorcists, everything was just.... gone in an instant. The clouds above too parted in the face of this unnatural force.

There was no sound, no screaming, no crashing, no nothing..

"Everything is just.... gone..." Artoria couldn't believe her eyes, having never seen anything like it before..... It was as if nothing had been there other than a seemingly bottomless ridge. All had just been.... swept away.

"...Just in case he survived..." Roman spoke in a low voice, his magical energy once more fluctuating as the Magician once more made use of True Magic.

Golden light... no, brilliant black beams with golden hues came crashing down from the Heavens, disintegrating everything they made contact with, even the very air... Once he'd understood the concept behind his hunter's attacks and the nature of her power, it wasn't difficult to replicate..... He could have replicated them without the understanding but it would be too inefficient relative to the costs.

Whoever had sent the girl after him had just handed over an immensely powerful tool and weapon... Roman was certain he could even make the sword if he so wanted.

"All of us are getting out of here alive." Tamamo spoke seriously, drawing handfuls of tags from under her dress and throwing them all around. Upon activation, these tags floated in the air, glowing a variety of colours as the Caster Class Divine Spirit closed her eyes, chanting in a language those around her could barely understand.

"Curse: Frigid Heaven, Curse: Fiery Heaven, Curse: Chaos Heaven, synchronised deployment."

The Fox-eared woman clasped both her hands together and several of the tags shone far brighter than others before exploding in a brilliant display of nature's might and fury.

A series of tornadoes erupted out of thin air, catching fire right after and forming an encirclement around the curious Gilgamesh.

Tamamo wasn't done however, and clapping her hands together, the Caster brought down a thin stream of white from the heavens above. A stream of white that expanded outwards until it covered all the area encircled by her flaming tornadoes.

"Let's see you survive this!" Imitating her Master, Tamamo raised a hand and snapped her fingers causing a massive explosion of light that made even her cover her eyes to prevent temporary blindness.

The scene the Caster servant had caused was a chaotic one.

A massive pillar of ice rising to the skies surrounded by massive tornadoes burning brilliantly.

"If you think I'm done, think again! Tamamo doesn't like it when people make something heavier than it needs to! Hmph!" She folded her arms in defiance, closing her eyes and turning her head away. She was a Divine Spirit, a being born of the Sun Goddess Amaterasu, one of the most powerful Gods known to man, with nothing she couldn't do!

What was a mortal part god man that had wasted his youth searching for immortality and bedding the wives of others going to do to her?!

Needless to say, Tamamo no Mae was seriously pissed off... So much so that she may have slightly forgotten about Gilgamesh's prowess.

"....." Thea clicked her tongue, averting her gaze as well, "Couldn't you have done that sooner?"

"Then...." Tamamo cutely put a finger to her cheek, "I couldn't have seen you say all that, right?"

It was a lie.

Doing this much would have surely strained her Master a fair bit.

Now though, now she felt her Master's previous reserves look like naught but specks of dust in a desert... It made her question the very logic of the world... Only, she didn't really have the time to contemplate those thoughts as everything in front of her was swept away in an instant...

"...What?"

The fox-eared Caster rubbed her eyes in disbelief, shocked by the soundless occurrence before her....

Where Gilgamesh had been seconds ago, there was now a bottomless ravine. The skies above had parted, and such was the case for miles, starting from where her Master had been... or so the Caster wanted to believe.

"Just what.... happened?" Luviagelita Edelfelt had her mouth agape in astute shock, unable to understand the sight before her, the King of Heroes was also nowhere to be seen..... She fell back, her mouth opening and closing several times as she attempted to rationalise what had just happened....

"It's not just me right? You all see this too? What did this? Who COULD do this? How? How did someone like this appear in a Grail War? What is going on?" Tamamo no Mae fired off question after question, addressing not someone else but rather herself, she'd never seen anything like this before!

Thea... only released a relieved sigh, grateful to whoever or whatever had done this.

All three of them did understand this much though, no human could manage this....

Sakura thought it was Roman, he was probably the most powerful being she was aware of due to the ease with which he had dispatched her previous 'family'.

Before any could really truly grasp the situation however, their thoughts were thrown for another loop by a rain of destruction in the form of brilliant beams of pitch black light, beams that made them feel just how miniscule they were in the face of those truly powerful, in the face of 'eternity' and left them frozen.

Not only them however, for the entire city of Fuyuki had witnessed the spectacle.

One word, white hole.

And, he can actually make black holes too, with more ease than what he did just now actually.

For copying Okita's NP, that was because her NP is not so much dependent on her sword as it is on the concept the swings she makes with it embody to create the beam so it was easier for him and even then, it sapped a massive amount of magical energy... Only Mana Cores generate insane amounts of magical energy.

For the dumbasses about to comment that I was too afraid to kill a character, save yourself the time.

Roman not having planned to deal with a situation like this would have been out of character. Him not having planned for it would be a guy that's been controlling the flow of information, gathered enough wealth to make his own family pale in comparison, established contacts over the world, made deals with the 12 Lords of the Clocktower, engineered a war to play out the way he wanted it to, and watched even his own shadow for something hidden for most of his life 'forgetting' about or being too stupid to think that someone would try to get to him through those he knows and/or is close to.

Just a bit of a question from me, did reading this help you understand some new stuff about Fate? Even if slightly?
